Join us for the Maplewood Mile 5K on Oct 3 at 9:00 AM — a scenic, USATF-certified-ish (fun) route through Maplewood Park. Whether you’re chasing a PR or running with the stroller, this mostly-flat course highlights tree-lined paths, a pond turnaround, and a finish on the town green. Every runner gets a finisher medal; top finishers take home awards and local gift certificates. Kids’ Fun Run at 10:15 AM. Proceeds support the Maplewood Urban Tree Fund.
Welcome to the Maplewood Mile 5K — Run for the Trees!
Lace up and come enjoy a morning of fresh air, community vibes, and scenic trails. The 5K course winds along Maplewood Park’s paved and crushed-gravel paths, showcasing mature maples, a pond, and the town’s historic gazebo. It’s perfect for first-timers, families, and competitive runners alike.

Thank you for registering for our 5th annual charity race! We are excited to host this event and to interact with local community members and businesses. This race has grown from being a small community event (previously called LaunchCARES Charity Race) to a county-wide effort of uniting people and companies who CARE. We are thrilled to announce the charity recipients of the 2026 race - - - COMFORT CASES and COVENANT LIFE SCHOOL (our location host)! Both of these organizations work diligently to improve the lives of children in and around MoCo.
Your donation is tax deductible.
After the races are over we will work together on a service project for Comfort Cases. Together, we will aim to pack 1,000 backpacks of essential goods for children in foster care. Students participating in this will receive SSL hours for their time of service.
It is our goal is to raise $100,000 with this event in 2025.

Race day will be structured in a way that allows children and parents to participate! This is a family friendly event. We encourage full family participation! You may participate in more than 1 event. For example, we have many kids who do the 1-mile AND the Trike-a-Thon.

Location: Launch 702 King Farm Blvd, Suite 150, Rockville, MD 20850. Free parking behind the building. It is a physical therapy and fitness gym - with a private side entrance.

We welcome and encourage you to come out and join us for our 7th Annual Healthy Start Mind & Body 5K Run/Walk, to JUMP START the Fall Season off to a Healthy Start and help a worthy cause! The purpose of this event is to promote and raise awareness of Alzheimer’s Disease while being mindful of how keeping our mind & body active leads to a healthy life with positive outcomes.
Also, consider supporting this cause by additionally donating any amount that will help the Alzheimer’s Association in their endeavor to providing Alzheimer’s care, programming, support, and research. The donate button is at the top of this registration page. Together, we can help find a cure for this disease in which over seven million Americans are living with.
The 5K race will be held at the beautiful, Occoquan Regional Park in Lorton, Virginia.
This paved course winds its way along the delightful Occoquan River, extending you splendid, scenic views throughout the park’s natural terrain.
We will have a DJ on site and there will be an award ceremony and a catered meal after the completion of the race at the Occoquan Regional Park Pavilion.

As the crisp air and vibrant colors of fall surround you, embark on a journey through scenic forest paths and leaf covered trails. Whether you’re a seasoned trail runner or new to the sport, this race offers something for runners and walkers. This is the fourth race in the Run Your PRCS Parks timed series.
Miles for Migraine will host its 10th annual 2-mile Walk, 5K Run and Relax DC/VA/MD event on Saturday October 3rd at Laurel Hill Central Green Park in Lorton Virginia. This event is a fundraiser for Migraine & Headache Awareness, Treatment & Research. It's more than a walk/run - come connect with your local migraine & headache community, listen to our speakers & visit sponsors in the festival area.
The 5K run is professionally timed. The Walk and the Relax events are free, but donations are encouraged. All walk and run finishers receive a finisher medal.

Funds raised will benefit Miles for Migraine free programs & services as well as the MedStar Georgetown Headache Center to support local migraine research and fellowship training programs.
Come experience this new course at Vanish Farmwoods Brewing and stay to enjoy a beer and fun with your fellow runners afterwards! This course includes a 1 mile option for kids or anyone looking to participate with a shorter distance.
Sweet Grace Ministries offers support, hope, and empathy to families enduring miscarriage, stillbirth, and infant death. We offer support in the form of comfort baskets, comfort bags, gowns, photography, cards, support group, events, and more. We are currently partnered with 23 hospitals in PA, 2 in MD, 1 in AK, 1 in NJ, and 1 in MT.
Our 15th Walk to Remember will be held Saturday, October 3, 2026 (in person with the option to participate virtually)
We hope to raise awareness, funds, and resources to support our organization. A one-mile walk will follow a remembrance celebration and candle lighting ceremony. All are welcome to participate in person at Norlo Park OR at home with family and friends.

The Anne Arundel County Lifeline 100 Century Ride offers a great experience for cyclists of all ages and abilities with 100, 65, 30, and 15-mile route options and a free Family Safari Ride and Children’s Bike Rodeo. The 100 and 65-mile routes wind through scenic Anne Arundel County, including views of downtown Annapolis, the Severn River, southern Anne Arundel County, BWI/Marshall Airport, and more!
The 15 and 30-mile routes are entirely on flat paved trails.
The entire century ride includes four supported rest stops. The metric century, or approximately 65-mile ride, includes three supported rest stops. The 30-mile ride includes two supported rest stops. The 15-mile ride includes one supported rest stop.
The 30 and 15-mile rides are on paved trails.
An adult must accompany all riders under the age of 16.

Lifeline 100 is a “rain or shine” event. However, if, together with our public safety partners, we determine that conditions would be unsafe, the event may be canceled. In the unlikely event of a cancellation, we will continue to support our nonprofits.
Unfortunately, there is no rain date, transfers to another event year, or refund (unless you purchase premium cancellation insurance at Active.com when you register).

Come out and enjoy this scenic half & 5k in the heart of Georgetown near the Nation’s Capital. Both events run on the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal path, however the Half Marathon begins/ends in Georgetown near the Potomac Boat Club while the 5K begins/ends at Fletcher’s Boat House.

This 5 Mile event celebrates the awesomeness of outdoor recreation on the South River and supports the efforts of Arundel Rivers Federation! We are a gathering of novice and experienced swimmers & paddlers celebrating the efforts of these organizations and the impact they have on inclusive water access and sustainable rivers. Each participant is required to fundraise at least $100 in addition to their registration fee. The tools to help you reach the fundraising goal will be provided. Fundraisers who exceed $500 will have their registration fee reimbursed. .
Swimmers participate as pods. A pod is 2-4 similarly speeded swimmers. Every pod has a support boat with them. The Solo Swim All 5 Miles option allows for the pod to swim the entire distance with a dedicated paddler. Solo Pods may bring their own paddler, or request that option at check out. The Take a Turn Swim/Paddle pod functions as a relay, taking turns paddling. Swimmers may register with friends as a fully formed pod, or may register individually into one of our paced pods.
No speed pressures or equipment restrictions. Simply invigorating open water adventure with the friends you’ve got or the ones you’ll make! October is a perfect time of year to enjoy swimming & paddling the South River! The cool water temps (Mid – High 60s) and picturesque scenic shorelines collaborate for unforgettable memories! Our untimed events are executed with participant safety and enjoyment as top priorities. We work with community partners to bring experiences that connect you to the sports we love and to outdoor recreation in meaningful ways.

Explore the scenic Glenroy Preserve trails at the fourth annual Kettle Cooker Five & Dime on October 4th, 2027 presented by Herr's Snacks and Altra Running, along with many local sponsors! It takes a village!
Glenroy Preserve is a beautiful outdoor playground that also happens to be rich in history. Some of the trails will take you through parts of the Underground Railroad, while even running past a tavern that was said to have served patrons during the Civil War.
Each distance is a loop. The 10 mile and 25K distances will follow the same course but then split around mile 9. ALL distances offer plenty of hills, creek crossings, mixed terrain, and plenty of on-course support.
Start time is 8:00am for ALL distances.
