During the month of March, we reflect on the prevalence of colorectal cancer in the USA especially within the younger patient population. It can be a strain physically, mentally and financially for patients and their families.

The money raised with this event will be used to support cancer patients struggling with the costs of treatment which includes travel, housing and parking expenses.

Join us for a turtle derby themed 5K trail race at Hopkins Farm Brewery on Saturday April 11th, 2026 to raise funds for local wildlife conservation

Race Goals

• Raise funds for Susquehannock Wildlife Society's local wildlife conservation efforts

• Raise awareness about turtle population declines and conservation efforts

• Build community between local wildlife conservationists, athletes, and outdoor enthusiasts

• Have fun running around Hopkins Farm Brewery. Turtle costumes encouraged!

Race Details

• Runners need to arrive at the start line at 9:00 am

• Brief introduction to the race from 9:00 to 9:10 am

Who We Are: Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age-appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run. Kids will earn points for each race they complete based on their finish.

Pricing: The registration fee covers the entire five (5) weeks of the Series which includes race bibs for each week, a runner shirt, a finisher medal and any sponsor giveaways. Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable. Online Early Bird registration increases three weeks prior to the first race event.

Challenger: This Series offers a Challenger Division which is an adaptive 75 yard race for children with disabilities and/or special needs. This allows for parents, siblings, and friends to be on the course with runners to provide support as well as bringing their own supportive devices such as crutches, braces, wheelchairs, etc. to be used by runners.

Single Day Racing: Single day race registration opens one hour prior to the start of each race. The registration fee covers one single race to be run on the day of registration. ALL single day registrations should be completed onsite at the race location. Single day racers will have the option to upgrade to the full series (see tab on the left side of the page for instructions). There is a strict no-refund and no-transfer policy.

Awards: All participants receive a medal on Week 5! Trophies will be awarded to the overall top finishers in each of the divisions listed below (broken out by boys and girls respectively):

Ride a 15, 30, or 45-mile route through the beautiful area of Havre de Grace, Maryland followed by a post-ride Beer Festival! Hosting the Run for Preservation 5K in My Lady's Manor makes this event especially meaningful. Surrounded by rolling farmland, historic estates, and protected open space, participants will run through one of Harford County’s most iconic rural landscapes — the very land that conservation efforts strive to preserve. By racing through the Manor, runners experience firsthand the beauty and heritage their support helps protect, reinforcing the mission of The Manor Conservancy and Harford Land Trust to safeguard this treasured countryside for generations to come.

Honor Moms with the 2nd Annual Choose Hope Women’s Center "Miles for Mom 5K Race & 1 Mile Walk".

Saturday, May 9, 2026, 9:00 am start time

Choose Hope Women’s Center is a nonprofit pregnancy medical clinic and resource center. We provide free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, education and material resources to support women and families from pregnancy until the age of three. We also offer post-abortive support as well as dad coaching.

Fee: $30 through May 8, 2026 (price displayed above includes processing fees)

Race day registration is $35

Start out Mother’s Day weekend by putting on your sneakers and honoring your mom and all moms by supporting Choose Hope Women’s Center.

Run or walk 5K or 1 Mile on the Ma and Pa Trail starting and finishing at Annie’s Playground. This race will be professionally chip timed by Blue Cheetah Sports Timing, LLC

In August 2015, Dawn Hill was living her life, a life she loved so dearly...one she always spoke of as perfect. She had just run a 10K trail run, hiked the Sugarloaf Mountains, kayaked the Gunpowder River and taken a cruise to Bermuda & Bahamas to enjoy the blue waters. On that cruise, she began to have excruciating stomach pains and upon returning home, was quickly diagnosed with Stage IV pancreatic cancer (that had metastasized to her liver and stomach). Dawn underwent over a year of intense clinical trial treatments at Hopkins but sadly, she passed away on 12/20/2016, after her warrior-heart fought the 16-month battle. Dawn brought HOPE and INSPIRATION to many of her friends & family and even strangers who followed her story on Facebook through shared posts.

Dawn Hill Fight Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that focuses on the financial needs of Pancreatic Cancer patients. The Foundation was created in honor of Dawn Hill, a true WARRIOR!
