    The 14th Annual Barlowe Bolt takes place in the suburban town of Millersville MD. Your path will have a good mix of flat and hilly roads lined with mature trees in this charming town. This is a perfect first race of the season whether you are a beginner or experienced runner. This is a chip timed race for the 5k participants. Medals will be awarded for the best male and female times in each of the age groups. We look forward to another fun Barlowe Bolt, we'll see you there!

    Event details and schedule

    Same day registration begins at 6am (cash only) and the race starts at 7am. The course will be monitored until 8am. Early packet pick-up will be held the evening before the race at 5 Peaks Martial Arts Academy (please use the front door), 8258 Veteran's Highway Ste 8, Millersville, MD, from 4pm-7pm. The morning of the race, you may park at the Old Mill Shopping Center (by the 7-11) or on the surrounding streets. Any registrations after February 23rd are not guaranteed a t-shirt. A water station will be at the 1 1/2 mile marker. Please dress comfortably and according to the weather.

    • The Anne Arundel County Lifeline 100 Century Ride offers a great experience for cyclists of all ages and abilities with 100, 65, 30, and 15-mile route options and a free Family Safari Ride and Children’s Bike Rodeo. The 100 and 65-mile routes wind through scenic Anne Arundel County, including views of downtown Annapolis, the Severn River, southern Anne Arundel County, BWI/Marshall Airport, and more!

    • The 15 and 30-mile routes are entirely on flat paved trails.

    • The entire century ride includes four supported rest stops. The metric century, or approximately 65-mile ride, includes three supported rest stops. The 30-mile ride includes two supported rest stops. The 15-mile ride includes one supported rest stop.

    • The 30 and 15-mile rides are on paved trails.

    • An adult must accompany all riders under the age of 16.

    • Lifeline 100 is a “rain or shine” event. However, if, together with our public safety partners, we determine that conditions would be unsafe, the event may be canceled. In the unlikely event of a cancellation, we will continue to support our nonprofits.

    • Unfortunately, there is no rain date, transfers to another event year, or refund (unless you purchase premium cancellation insurance at Active.com when you register).

    The Anne Arundel County Lifeline 100 Century Ride is co-sponsored by the Anne Arundel County Police Department, Anne Arundel County Department of Recreation and Parks, and Bicycle Advocates for Annapolis and Anne Arundel County. All event proceeds support the following non-profit organizations:

    • Anne Arundel County Crisis Response System

    • Bicycle Advocates for Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Bike Safety Programs

    • Friends of Anne Arundel County Trails and Friends of Kinder Farm Park

    Each ride will be show-and-go. Starting schedules will be posted soon! Please keep in mind that this is a ride, not a race! The routes include some paved trail segments with posted speed limits. Come out and enjoy the day.

    The Family Safari Ride is free and open to children ages ten and under and their parents/guardians. It is held on the paved trails at Kinder Farm Park.

    Another FREE Fun event for the kids... once again the Lifeline 100 will host a Children's Bike Rodeo - a fun bicycle safety orientation and obstacle course - for ages 4-10. To register for the Children's Bike Rodeo, please visit our website.
