The Crim Training Program is one of the largest of its kind and is the best way to get moving and stay active with fellow runners and walkers all summer long. The 15-week program is guided by a detailed training calendar and helps you prepare for your Crim 10 Mile, Half Crim 5 mile, or 5K. Groups of all paces meet weekly on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays; morning and evening training groups available!
Want to train for your Crim race wherever you are? Register for one of our "Train Where You Are" virtual training options! You'll follow our proven training calendar from May-August and have access to online support and resources. Those who register for this option will receive their packet in the mail and will not meet weekly with a training group.

Youth Triathlon with age appropriate distances for kids 14 and under. The entire event is contained within Hawk Island Park. The swim is within the pre-set Hawk Island Park swim area with the ability to touch the bottom and with lifeguards present.
REGISTRATION IS BASED ON THE AGE OF YOUR ATHLETE AS OF 12/31/26, NOT AGE AS OF RACE DAY. This is USA triathlon rules.
Kids 6 and under: 25m shallow swim, 100m bike, 100m run.

Mark your calendars for the 12th Annual Special Olympics Michigan Area 19 (Jackson County) Heart of a Lion chip timed 5K Run/Walk at the beautiful Ella Sharp Park located at 2800 Fourth St. Jackson, MI 49203.
The race will be held on Sunday, August 23rd at 9 a.m. with a SOMI athlete/Kids Fun Run to follow.
Pricing: $30 until 8/6 (shirt guaranteed), $35 from 8/7 to 8/22 (shirts available as supplies last), $40 race day (no shirt guaranteed)
T-Shirts guaranteed to those who register by August 6th, supplies available as they last after that date.
Overall Awards will be given to the top male and female finishers of Open (all ages), and Masters (40+), in the 5k Run, and 5k Walk.

Proceeds from this race will benefit the Jackson Area 19 Special Olympics and will be used to provide year round sports training and athletic competition for persons with intellectual disabilities. All proceeds stay in Jackson, County.
Results will be available live during the event and posted online at this website.

Join us for the annual 5K Wolf Run and Walk on Saturday, August 29th, 2026. This is an inclusive day of fun for the entire family! With races available for preschoolers, students of all ages, and adults–there truly is a race for everyone! The 2026 Unified 5k and AdaptXpo is an inclusive road race and adaptive sports expo designed so that everyone can participate, whether they run, walk, row, or roll. The event raises critical funds for AdaptX education, research, community events, fitness programming, and grant initiatives. The Unified 5k is a space where athletes with and without disabilities show up together, challenge perceptions, and prove that fitness and sport are more meaningful when everyone has a place at the starting line.
Join us on August 30th at Hudson Mills for our 2nd annual Unified 5k in Dexter, MI. Participants have the opportunity to run, walk, roll, or row either the 5k (3.1 mile) or 1 Mile course. The Moovin’ Thru the Midway 5K Presented by Wells Fargo made its debut at the Michigan State Fair in 2019 and has been a fan favorite ever since! This one-of-a-kind race welcomes participants of all ages and abilities to experience an immersive and energetic course through the heart of the fairgrounds. Runners dash past highlights like the Carnival Midway, the animals and even inside vendor exhibits—bringing the full fair experience to life.
The race finishes in true fair style at the Entertainment Pavilion Beer Tent, where participants celebrate with medals, light refreshments, free race photos, and a sponsor-branded keepsake photo. Adults 21+ can toast their accomplishment with a complimentary beer, while everyone is welcome to enjoy the live music and festive vibes at the post-race celebration in the Beer Garden.

In 2020, the race expanded to include a virtual option, allowing participants to run or walk from home or a location of their choice. Virtual runners receive a mailed Race Kit with their official swag and can submit a photo to receive a branded keepsake image to share on social media.
