  Midland Park, NJ #LightUpMBC COLOR Walk ​May 31, 2026 Join us May 31 for an unforgettable event the whole family will enjoy! The festivities will feature a 1-mile color run/walk (no experience necessary). The event will start with a Color Blaze color-powder toss, and then participants will pass through pink, teal and green color stations where they will be sprayed with Color Blaze color powder by volunteers. There will also be a DJ, food, giveaways, and fun children's activities. We hope to see you at this meaningful event to raise funds to find a cure for metastatic breast cancer. There are several ways to get involved in this event: 1. Register to participate in this event. You have the option to participate individually, create a team or join an existing team. 2.   Race Start Time and Location:

  We are extremely excited to host our one and only triathlon in the all beautiful Palisades Park in New Jersey! This is our second year running the race as well as our interest in expanding more races outside of NYC. With a gorgeous view of the Hudson River, also known as the River Road, and the undulating Henry Hudson Dr, it makes for a very challenging and rewarding course in swimming, running, and biking. As this is an open water event in the Hudson River, the swim can sometimes be challenging and the water temperature may not be as warm in June. Wet suits are allowed but not required. Volunteers from the Hudson Kayak Club will be on duty to ensure a safe and successful swim for all triathletes.

  Here is what you can expect on race day: Race start is 8:00 AM sharp at the transition area by the Alpine Marina’s Pavilion comfort station, at the end of the boat dock. Duathletes will start near the parking lot not too far from the transition area and running up the first hill near the entrance.

  At the end of the 400 meter swim, Triathletes will head back to the Transition coming off the beach run off. Duathletes will turn around at the .7 miles mark on the Henry Hudson Dr and make their way back to the Transition. Both Triathletes and Duathletes will begin the 10 mile bike portion of the race.

  The bike segment is on the Henry Hudson Dr and with your first hill leaving the parking lot. 5 miles out and turning around by the Dyckman Hill Rd, and 5 miles back to the transition. The total elevation gain is over 300ft+. Although there are no long climbs but enough punchy and short hills to force you to pace yourself carefully.

  The final segment of the race is a 3 mile run for both Triathletes and Duathletes. You will start from the Transition area and running on the Henry Hudson Dr. Turn around at the 1.5 miles mark and making your way back to the finish by the Transition area, running through the finish flags.

  Registration spots are limited to 150 participants. We had over 120 participants last year. Please do register early in case we reach our registration cap much sooner! As of today, 6/10, the race is SOLD OUT.

  Alpine Marina Triathlon distance:

  Swim distance is 400 meters.

  Bike distance is 10 miles.

  Run distance is 3 miles.

  Alpine Marina Duathlon distance:

  Run distance is 1.5 miles.

  Bike distance is 10 miles.

  Run distance is 3 miles.

  Volunteers:

  You are needed from 6 am to 11 am. Our races start at 8:00 am unless stated the otherwise. Once you arrived, report to our Race Directors (George or Hunter). They will go over your race duty as well as where you need to be. Don’t leave until the race is finished. You have to sign out to earn your race credit for your next race.

  The Alpine Marina Triathlon/Duathlon is not USAT certified or sanctioned. USAT racing license isn’t required to compete in our race.

  Closter's Dom Mircovich Memorial 5K - 45th Annual & Jim O'Halloran Kids Fun Run

  Now in its 45th year, the 5k and Fun Run events will be held on its traditional Sunday of Labor Day weekend. Both events will be held on Sunday, September 6, 2026. The Closter 5k is the longest running, continuous 5k in the Northern Valley. We've got the prettiest course around!

  Please note that this year's town celebration ("NOT" Labor Day celebration) is scheduled for 6 September. See the Closter Recreation Commission site for more info. This year's town celebration will not coincide with the 5K and Fun Run.

  LOCATION - Memorial Park, Harrington Ave., Closter, NJ

  SCHEDULE - September 6, 2026

  • 8:00 am - Bib Pickup by basketball courts for those registered on line (Note: There will be limited same day registration, but online registration is preferred.)

  • 9:00 am - Jim O’Halloran Kids Fun Run (12 & Under)

  • 9:30 am - Dom Mircovich Memorial 5K Walk/Run Race Start

  • 10:30 am - Awards

  5K AWARDS

  • Top three male and female finishers overall

  • Runners receive the highest award for which they are eligible. No multiple awards are given.

  • First three parent-child teams (Online sign up only. No day of team registration.)

  • Fastest Closter resident-male & female

  • Runners receive the highest award for which they are eligible only; no multiple awards are given.

  AMENITIES

  • Fun Run: T-shirt and Tyvek bib to the first 50 Fun Run registrants, trophies to the top five girls and top five boys, ribbons to all participants, and post-fun run refreshments.

  • 5K: Moisture wicking T-shirt to first 225 registrants, B-tag electronic timing, awards as described above, and post-event refreshments.

  • Early-bird pickup, 2pm - 5pm, Saturday 9/5/26 at Runners' House, River Vale, NJ

  • Registration at Runners' House and on event-day will be $40.

  Our Fall Spectacular event includes a 5K Run/Walk for all ages, a Mile Fun Run for ages 9 and under, and a Kiddie Dash for ages 6 and under. The 5K course is a USATF Certified, relatively flat road course through scenic Harrington Park, NJ.   9th Annual Englewood Cliffs 5K

  Location: Witte Field - Johnson Ave, Englewood Cliffs, NJ

  On Sunday, October 25, 2026, the Borough of Englewood Cliffs will be hosting the 9th Annual EC 5K run rain or shine through the streets of Englewood Cliffs. The 5 km (3.1 mile) course will be a USATF measured and timed race with the funds raised going to support Englewood Cliffs Recreation. The day will also include a Fun Run.

  ​For the 5K race starting at 9:00 AM, medals will be given to the top three male and female finishers in each age group as well as the overall male and female winners of the race. The race is "fast and flat" and is a great opportunity to improve on your personal best times or simply to have a good time together with friends, family or colleagues.

  REGISTRATION INFORMATION

  5K - $25 through Aug 31st; $20 for students (17 and under) through Aug 31st

  5K - $35 from September 1st through Oct 25th; $25 for students (17 and under) from September 1st through Oct 25th

  5K - $40 on race day; $30 for students (17 and under) on race day

  Fun Run - $15 through race day

  $2 Discount for Seniors (62 and older); $3 Discount for active USATF members

  ***Online registration will close at 12pm (noon) on October 24. ***

  AWARDS

  Champion medals will be given to the top male and female finisher. Additionally the top 3 in each age group will get medals.
