  The proceeds of this year's event will benefit cervical cancer research taking place at the Hackensack Meridian Center for Discovery and Innovation (CDI), an advanced research institution founded by Hackensack Meridian Health to rapidly translate innovations in biomedical science to improve human health. CDI's cervical cancer research program is dedicated to the development of new diagnostic technologies for early detection and improved treatment for women with cervical cancers.

  The 2026 Unified 5k and AdaptXpo is an inclusive road race and adaptive sports expo designed so that everyone can participate, whether they run, walk, row, or roll. The event raises critical funds for AdaptX education, research, community events, fitness programming, and grant initiatives. The Unified 5k is a space where athletes with and without disabilities show up together, challenge perceptions, and prove that fitness and sport are more meaningful when everyone has a place at the starting line.

  Join us on May 3rd at Push to Walk for our 1st annual event where you can walk, run, roll, or row either the 5k (3.1 mile) or 1 mile course. Arrive early or hang around after the event to check out our vendors and clinics at the AdaptXpo, a celebration of organizations that focus on health, inclusion, accessibility, assistive technology, and adaptive sports.

  Push to Walk enables people with spinal cord injuries and paralysis to have a brighter future with innovative, specialized treatments.

  Midland Park, NJ #LightUpMBC COLOR Walk ​May 31, 2026 Join us May 31 for an unforgettable event the whole family will enjoy! The festivities will feature a 1-mile color run/walk (no experience necessary). The event will start with a Color Blaze color-powder toss, and then participants will pass through pink, teal and green color stations where they will be sprayed with Color Blaze color powder by volunteers. There will also be a DJ, food, giveaways, and fun children's activities. We hope to see you at this meaningful event to raise funds to find a cure for metastatic breast cancer. There are several ways to get involved in this event: 1. Register to participate in this event. You have the option to participate individually, create a team or join an existing team. 2. Help us fundraise by sharing your unique fundraising page created by Race Roster with family and friends 3. Unable to participate? Make a donation to support MBC research 4. Become a Sponsor.   Closter's Dom Mircovich Memorial 5K - 45th Annual & Jim O'Halloran Kids Fun Run

  Now in its 45th year, the 5k and Fun Run events will be held on its traditional Sunday of Labor Day weekend. Both events will be held on Sunday, September 6, 2026. The Closter 5k is the longest running, continuous 5k in the Northern Valley. We've got the prettiest course around!

  Please note that this year's town celebration ("NOT" Labor Day celebration) is scheduled for 6 September. See the Closter Recreation Commission site for more info. This year's town celebration will not coincide with the 5K and Fun Run.

  LOCATION - Memorial Park, Harrington Ave., Closter, NJ

  SCHEDULE - September 6, 2026

  • 8:00 am - Bib Pickup by basketball courts for those registered on line (Note: There will be limited same day registration, but online registration is preferred.)

  • 9:00 am - Jim O’Halloran Kids Fun Run (12 & Under)

  • 9:30 am - Dom Mircovich Memorial 5K Walk/Run Race Start

  • 10:30 am - Awards

  COURSE

  • USATF Certified 5k Course: NJ24017JLW

  • Mostly flat course around parks neighborhoods, and charming town center

  • Timing & scoring by Rock Race Timing

  • Multiple water stops

  • The Fun Run distance is approximately 1k.

  5K AWARDS

  • Top three male and female finishers overall

  • Five-year age groups: 10U to 80+ (10U, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, etc.)

  • Runners receive the highest award for which they are eligible. No multiple awards are given.

  • First three parent-child teams (Online sign up only. No day of team registration.)

  • Fastest Closter resident-male & female

  • Runners receive the highest award for which they are eligible only; no multiple awards are given.

  AMENITIES

  • Fun Run: T-shirt and Tyvek bib to the first 50 Fun Run registrants, trophies to the top five girls and top five boys, ribbons to all participants, and post-fun run refreshments.

  • 5K: Moisture wicking T-shirt to first 225 registrants, B-tag electronic timing, awards as described above, and post-event refreshments.

  ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Early-bird pickup, 2pm - 5pm, Saturday 9/5/26 at Runners' House, River Vale, NJ

  • Registration at Runners' House and on event-day will be $40.

  Description

  Our Fall Spectacular event includes a 5K Run/Walk for all ages, a Mile Fun Run for ages 9 and under, and a Kiddie Dash for ages 6 and under. The 5K course is a USATF Certified, relatively flat road course through scenic Harrington Park, NJ. Race results will be posted with both gun time and chip time, gun time will determine all award results.
