IAAP Training is a year-around free training program designed to

help you improve your running in a group environment. We welcome

runners of all abilities and experience levels. The program is

centered on two key training sessions - Track Workouts on Tuesdays

and Thursdays at Brackenridge High Schoool at 400 Eagleland and a

Long Distance run that meets on Sundays at Mission San Juan at

7am. This combination of speed and endurance are the foundation

for achieving success in running. There is also a monthly

chip-timed 1 & 2 Mile time trial designed to track your overall

progress. From time to time we may change our workout locations

and times, but we will notify our participants in advance on any

changes to the schedule. IAAP feels that training goes better if

you run with a group that shares your goals. The training is led

by coaches who are passionate about running and want to share

their knowledge and experience to help you reach your goals. With

all these factors going for it IAAP is confident that you will

improve your running and have fun while you are doing it!

Fifth Annual Fundraising fun run in honor of our son's heavenly birthday. Aiden Alexander was born sleeping at 39 weeks on February 15, 2022. He is forever loved and remembered in our hearts. He passed unexpectedly due to issues with his umbilical cord. We received the devastating news that there was no heartbeat when we got to the hospital in labor on Valentines Day that snowy night.

Proceeds from the event benefit stillbirth and infant loss organizations, such as Kain's comfort, in honor of our son. Kain's Comfort donates Comfort Boxes to bereaved mothers in the hospital so that they do not have to leave the hospital with empty arms. Race proceeds also benefit Sarah's Heart which offers free counseling and support groups to those who have experienced infant loss.

The route is an out and back paved course on the Salado Creek Trail. The run starts at Lady Bird Johnson Park and runs south on the trail.

    What Is OUTLAST?

OUTLAST is a 6-hour trail endurance challenge where runners complete a 5K every hour, on the hour. Each lap must be finished within the hour to stay in the event. If you finish early, you rest until the next round. Miss a lap, and you’re out.

Complete all six rounds, and you OUTLAST.

This isn't just about speed — it's about pacing, discipline, and mental grit. Whether you're trying to survive all six or win your division, the challenge is the same: show up each hour, push your limits, and stay in it.

Each course is trail-based, with natural terrain, elevation, and unpredictable conditions. You’ll have time between rounds to recover, refuel, and refocus — but not much.

    What You Earn:

4 laps = “Grit Earned” patch

    5 laps = “Survivor” patch

6 laps = Premium “OUTLAST” medal

All participants receive an OUTLAST Tee.

Top male and female with the fastest combined 5K times at each event win the 1st Place OUTLAST award.

Finishers are ranked on the national leaderboard—and the fastest runner across all OUTLAST 6-hour events will be crowned National Champion and take home $1,000.

The 1st Place Male and Female 6-hour champions from each city will earn a spot in the Outlast Championship, where they’ll compete against the best of the best at the end of the Tour, and the 1st place male and female winners take home $1000 each. (This is separate from the national leaderboard prize money.)

By the end of the tour, the top 100 best times nationally will be invited to also compete in the Outlast Championship.

    Frequently Asked Questions:

Do I have to run all 6 laps?

Nope. Run as many as you can. If you complete 4 or 5, you'll still earn a patch. Only those who finish all 6 get the OUTLAST medal and leaderboard ranking.

What happens if I don’t finish a lap in time?

You're out. The next lap starts at the top of the next hour, and only those who completed the last lap on time can continue.

    How is the race timed?

Each 5K is timed individually. If you complete all 6, your combined time counts toward the local win and national leaderboard.

Are these trail races or road?

Every OUTLAST race is on trail terrain — dirt, rocks, roots, and elevation. Sometimes some pavement and gravel.

    Can I walk?

Yes, as long as you finish the 5K within the hour. But some courses are rugged, and time can sneak up on you.

    Are there aid stations?

Yes. There will be water, basic hydration, and snacks at the basecamp/loop start. This is a cupless event — bring your own bottle or hydration system.

    What should I bring?

Trail shoes, hydration system, layers (weather dependent), fuel between laps, and grit.

    Can I setup a tent?

Absolutely, bring your own aid station/tent setup.

    Is OUTLAST for beginners?

Yes — if you're mentally tough. You don’t need to be fast, just consistent and ready to suffer a little.

    How do I win?

If you finish all 6 laps and have the fastest combined time, you win your division (male/female). Winners are also added to the national leaderboard for a shot at the $1,000 national prize & title.

Lace up for the Miracle for Jackson 5K (3.1 miles) on March 21, 2026, at Lady Bird Johnson Park — where every step brings Jackson closer to his miracle. Can’t join us in person? A virtual 5K option is available, with registration open through March 23, 2026. Virtual participants may complete their 5K (run or walk) anytime by April 6, 2026, and are encouraged to share a photo or message on Facebook and tag @MiracleforJackson5kwalk/run.

Jackson is an eleven-year-old boy who has faced extraordinary medical challenges since birth. After years of searching for answers, doctors determined in 2023 that he needed a life-saving intestinal transplant. Following multiple complications and life-support interventions, Jackson was officially listed and received his transplant on August 18, 2025. While this milestone was a miracle, his journey to healing continues.

When you join this race, you’re not just running —

🏃‍♂️ You’re helping Jackson go the distance.

🎽 You’re supporting his strength, courage, and recovery.

💙 You’re becoming part of his team.

This event proudly supports the Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) in honor of Jackson. Funds raised help cover transplant-related expenses, travel, and the ongoing resources he needs to keep fighting.

Enjoy a fun-filled, family-friendly morning featuring an incredible DJ, face painting, vendors, sponsors, snacks, and hydration along the course. Packet pickup begins at 7:00 AM, with vendors and sponsors ready by 7:30 AM. A special kids’ race for ages 4–16 is available for just $15.

The Jacobs family is deeply grateful for every stride, donation, prayer, and act of kindness that brings hope to Jackson’s journey.

To learn more about Jackson’s story or to give in his honor through COTA, please visit https://cota.org/cotaforamiracleforjackson/

Thank you for being part of a miracle — let’s run for hope, run for strength, and run for Jackson!

E-Dragon Productions—built by runners, for runners—is launching something entirely new for the San Antonio running community.

We’re proud to introduce our first-ever 12-Month Race Series, designed to deliver unforgettable experiences, premium swag, and race-day energy you won’t find anywhere else.

Welcome to the San Antonio ¼ Marathon Series.

This groundbreaking series features 12 themed ¼-marathon events held throughout the year at different parks across San Antonio, giving runners a fresh course, a new vibe, and a new challenge every time they race.

In partnership with local running organizations and running groups, E-Dragon Productions is creating a true community-driven series that celebrates consistency, commitment, and the love of the run.

The series is divided into three seasonal marathon medals:

Spring Marathon Series – Complete the first 4 races

Summer Marathon Series – Complete the next 4 races

Winter Marathon Series – Finish strong with the final 4 races

Each season earns its own medal, and together they tell the full story of a year-long running journey.

This isn’t just a race series—it’s a commitment to the community, a year of purpose-driven training, and a chance to be part of something truly special

The San Antonio Sports Corporate Cup presented by OrthoNow is a one-of-a-kind Olympic-style, co-ed, team building, opponent-taunting, skills-flaunting field day for adults that pits company vs. company in the ultimate competition to claim the cup! It's not about athletic prowess. Oh no my friends, this is all about coming together to bond, trash talk and score points!

Besides joining forces with colleagues in a fun, active and football-tailgating-kind-of-way (with bragging rights and a really awesome trophy that won't leak beer), the San Antonio Sports Corporate Cup incorporates a Charity Challenge into the competition each year.

    And...

Proceeds from the Corporate Cup will provide sports and fitness programs for the youth of our community, especially those who are underserved, as well as all of the other amazing things we do for San Antonio like host the Final Four. It doesn't get better than reliving your glory days while going head-to-head with a rival company, but if you need the best reason, do it for the kids!

What began in 2007 as a small employee wellness initiative has grown into one of the City of San Antonio’s most anticipated annual traditions. Launched by the City’s newly formed Wellness Division in 2007, the first City Manager’s 5K Walk & Run brought together 561 employees and family members at Brackenridge Park to celebrate a new commitment to health and wellbeing across our organization.

As the event has grown, it has traveled across San Antonio—from Brackenridge Park to SeaWorld San Antonio, Alamo Plaza, Roosevelt Park, and even a virtual format during the pandemic—while always staying true to its mission: encouraging movement, connection, and a culture of wellness.

Now, the CM5K returns once again to SeaWorld San Antonio for this year’s event. Whether you’re walking your first 5K, running for a personal best, or cheering on friends and colleagues, you’ll be part of a tradition that reflects the City’s enduring commitment to a healthy workplace and a healthier community.
