๐ŸŽญ Mardi Gras Madness ๐ŸŽญ

Let the Good Times Run!

Laissez les bons temps rouler โ€” let the good times rollโ€ฆ or better yet, let the good times run! The Mardi Gras Madness 5K / 10K is your chance to hit the streets Big Easyโ€“style, with beads flying, music pumping, and every mile feeling like a Bourbon Street parade.

Hosted by Bigfoot Running Company, this isnโ€™t just another run โ€” itโ€™s a full-on Mardi Gras party with all the fixings: over-the-top medals, stylish tees, high-energy staff, and the legendary Bigfoot Trophy. From start to finish, youโ€™ll be cheered, celebrated, and showered in Mardi Gras spirit.

And when you cross the line, the party ainโ€™t over โ€” head to the Race Rally Tent, where our DJ will be spinning the hits, announcing every runner like royalty, and keeping the celebration rolling. Grab some snacks, raise a toast, and dance your way into the awards ceremony.

So go big, go bold, and let the good times (and costumes) roll! ๐ŸŽญโœจ

๐ŸŽญ On-Course Festivities

This race is a moving second line parade ๐ŸŽบ๐ŸŽถ.

Aid stations are more than just hydration stops โ€” theyโ€™re mini Mardi Gras block parties.

Volunteers will toss out Mardi Gras beads so you can run draped in purple, green, and gold.

Shout out โ€œThrow me somethinโ€™, mister!โ€ and keep your collection growing with every mile.

At Mardi Gras Madness, we believe every achievement deserves a spotlight moment. Thatโ€™s why our awards are handed out live, right after you cross the finish line. Youโ€™ll be immediately recognized for your accomplishment โ€” no long wait required.

This setup means youโ€™re free to celebrate however youโ€™d like:

Stick around, throw on your beads, and cheer for others as they finish ๐ŸŽ‰

Or, if your stomach is calling, head out for a well-earned brunch in true New Orleans fashion ๐Ÿณ๐Ÿฅ‚

Either way, youโ€™ll leave with your award in hand, your name announced, and your accomplishment celebrated!

Join us for the 8th annual Longest Day 5k/10k and by special request we are keeping the .5k Beer run and .5k kids run. We are excited to continue doing this again and again and hope you are too.

By now we would hope the Beard vs Beans name is known, and if not, here's a little bit about us!

Sibling rivalry is something that everyone with a brother or sister is familiar with. My younger brother (Matthew aka Beard) and I (Miguel aka Beans) definitely know a thing or two about it. Together, we decided to put our competitive efforts toward a cause that we both personally believe in. We compete to see which brother can raise the most money in donations for the Alzheimer's Association of San Antonio and South Texas. Loser faces a punishment. In our continued efforts to help ENDALZ we bring you The Longest Day 5k/10k with Beard vs Beans.

All 5k/10k finishers will receive medals and a pretty amazing shirt. The participants who want to do the .5k Beer Run will receive a beer mug and the winner will receive an award. You can chose to do the 0.5k Beer Run post 5k/10k and get all the swag. The Kids .5k will receive a medal and shirt. Come join us and have a great time with our sponsors. As always. ALL proceeds will benefit the Alzheimer Association of San Antonio and South Texas.

Dont forget to create your team! The team with the most registered participants will earn a team flag. Deadline for this to happen will be June 1st 2026!

Are you ready to test your limits, your strength, your tenacity and to accomplish one of the hardest races of your life. Well you have come to the right place. Dragon trails will challenge you through the trails at pearsall park. We have three races for you to choose from

First choice and the most challenging is the Great Dragon 25k Trail race which has a 2 loop course through the front hills of the dragon trails and then you follow it to the back trails which are nicer to travel but are relenting with the heat. This course will have a waterstop every mile with water and gatorade for each runner.

Second choice will be the Ultimate Dragon 10K which consist of almost all the same course as the 1st loop of the 25k, only difference it turns around early near the 7th waterstop. The 10k will also have tons of hills and heat for all of our contestants. Just because its a shorter race does not mean it will not challenge everything you have to finish the event.

Third option is San Antonio's Toughest 5K with nearly 100 feet of climbing through each kilometer. This race will definitely make every other 5k you have ever run seem like a walk in the park. If you are ready to experience what true trail racing is without doing the longer distance than this will be the race for you.

All runners will receive a specific event race medal or finisher tile, a singlet with the race logo and a taco breakfast for you to enjoy post race. This event will be officially timed by our Best race timers IAAP. We will have age group awards for all events starting 19 and under and going up to 70 plus with 10 year increments for the 1st place. We will have our amazing DJ Dragon and Announcer representing and making sure you guys have a great after race party. We will also bring back our amazing photographers from J&B Photography to capture your amazing faces through the full terrain that the dragon trails has to offer.
