    High Point Climbing and Fitness Gym

    The 5k has been rescheduled for February 15th.

    Kick off the new year on the trails! The MRTC Frank Horton Memorial Winter Off-Road Series features four races on some of the Memphis area's best courses. Each race brings a new challenge, unpredictable winter weather, and plenty of trail-running fun.

    There will be no onsite race day registration. You can register on race day but you will need to do that on your own device.

    Packet & Shirt Pick-up-

    January 10th from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM

    THE 2026 RACE DATES (Start time for each distance will be 2pm)

    3K - Jan 11 - Overton Park

    8K - Feb 8 - Nesbit Park, Bartlett (aka Stanky Creek)

    5K - Feb 15 - Johnson Park, Collierville - new date

    10K - Feb 22 - Shelby Farms

    REGISTRATION FEES

    Register for the series or any of the single races!

    Remember all registration fees increase $10 on/after the first race of the series.

    Fees for individual races - members and non-members $22.20 ($2.20 Fee included)

    REGISTRATION

    If you register by December 21st, you'll be sent your chip and bib in the mail before the first race. Be sure to watch our website OR like us on Facebook for registration announcements. We will be mailing out packets in the first week of January.

    We WILL NOT have our laptops set up for onsite registration this year as we normally do. The online registration site will remain open, so please register online before leaving your house or you can register on your own personal device at the race.

    All participants of the full series will receive a long sleeve t-shirt. Single race day registrants will not get a shirt.

    AWARDS

    Results will be posted via email and posted online and the awards will be distributed once the full series is complete.

    A points system will be used for both Overall and Age Group awards for the 4-race series. There are no awards for individual races. To be eligible for an award you must run at least 3 of the 4 races. Those runners who complete all 4 races will receive an extra point. Age groups are calculated off the age at the last race of the series.

    The awards go 3-deep in Overall Open, 3-deep in Masters, 1-deep in Grand Masters, 1-deep in Senior Master and 3-deep in age groups. Fast runners can miss a race and still (possibly) qualify for an award, depending on the competition. Anyone found sending a substitute to run for them will be completely disqualified from the series. Ties will be broken based on the best performance in the longest race. All decisions made by MRTC will be final.

    The awards ceremony for the 2026 Winter-Off Road Series will take place a week or two after the last race.

    The Cancer Kickers Big Buffalo 50 is more than a race. It’s a lifeline.

    As the largest annual fundraiser for the Cancer Kickers Soccer Club, every stride taken on race day directly fuels hope, joy, and connection for children around the world who are fighting cancer.

    Founded in Memphis in 2016 by Michelle and Chris Clothier, CKSC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to wrapping kids in comfort and community during the hardest battle of their lives. Through custom soccer kits, complete with jerseys, balls, gear, and personalized touches, we remind each child that they’re not facing cancer alone. So far, more than 3,200 kids have received their own kit of courage.

    This year, we’re calling on the Memphis running community to help us reach even more children. During registration, you’ll have the option to make a donation to CKSC and every single dollar goes straight to the mission.

    It costs $300 to deliver one complete kit to a child. That means:

    • Every relay team registered supports one child.

    • Every four 50K runners support one child.

    • Every three 50-mile runners support one child.

    Your gift, no matter the size, has the power to brighten a child’s day, lift a family’s spirits, and remind them they’re part of a team that cares. Together, we can create real, meaningful impact for these brave kids.

    Death by 5k is returning to Memphis for year 5!

    RunStrong Event's signature 24 hour challenge, Death by 5k requires participants to run ten 5ks starting every 2.5 hours. The first 5k starts at 8 am, and subsequent 5ks start at 1030, 1, 330, 6, 830, 11, 130, 4, and 630 am. Participants need to be present at the start of each 5k, and have that 5k finished prior to the start of the subsequent 5k. This challenge is designed to test participants mentally and physically with physical fatigue, sleep deprivation, and running in the dark. (Headlamps, hand lights, or some other form of illumination will be required)

    Death by 5k Memphis will start and finish at the Tour de Wolf Pavilion at Shelby Farms, and will be run almost entirely on the Tour de Wolf trail. The course will be mostly a loop with a small stretch midway that may be out and back. Trail conditions on race weekend will determine how much is two-way traffic instead of a loop.

    In between each 5k, participants will be able to sleep in their cars or vehicles in the parking area, or to put up tents in the grass area adjacent to the pavilion. There is plenty of space for pop up or camping tents.

    There will be 5 meals, each including hot food, served over the course of the event. Meal times will be 830a, 130p, 630p, 1130p, and 420a. There will also be plenty of snack food and drinks available throughout the event.

    Participants will receive an event shirt and other race swag. Finishers will receive one of our coveted coffin awards and the pride that comes with surviving.

    Registration will be limited initially to 200 participants. After that, a waitlist will be enabled and we will open spots if/when they become available or if we decide to expand the field

The 1.5K Swim will take place in Hyde Lake, The 40K Bike Route will take you around the park and the surrounding area. The 10K Run will be on several of Shelby Farms paved trails. The Memphis In May Triathlon packet pick up and all of the festivities will be at Shelby Farms Hyde Lake. The AquaBike will be available for both the Olympic and Sprint Races. You can swim and bike, then your race finishes in the transition area after after you cross the bike -in timing mat entering the transition area.

    The 43rd Annual Memphis In May Olympic Triathlon would like to thank Edmond Orgill Park in Millington, TN for many fond memories of the races and the participants who have shared their time with us. The Memphis In May Olympic Triathlon was first introduced to Edmond Orgill Park in 1991, and has had the privilege to host many dedicated triathletes over the years. Shelby Farms, our new home, also hosted the IM Memphis 70.3.

    The Memphis In May Olympic Triathlon Saturday May 9, 2026 and consists of .93 Mile Swim, 24.9 Mile Bike and 10.2 Mile Run. The Memphis in May Sprint Triathlon Saturday May 9, 2025 is a sprint triathlon that consists of a 750 meter swim 11.5 mile bike, and a 3 mile run. This event is a great way to get started in the sport of triathlon with its association with the Memphis In May Olympic Triathlon and the Memphis in May Triathlon Weekend.

    Relay teams are welcome; Female, Male and Mixed. 2 and 3 person teams.

    We will run heats based on your estimated mile time. We will wait to see how many people are signed up to determine how many heats we will need.

    This will be in conjunction with the MRTC KIDS! Run graduation which starts at 2 pm.

    We will also be having a cookout so come out, see how fast you can run a mile on the track, and then get something hot off the grill.
