The 2026 Memphis in May Triathlon and AquaBike Division.

On Saturday, May 9, 2026 The Memphis In May Olympic Triathlon will be held at again at Shelby Farms Park. The 1.5K Swim will take place in Hyde Lake, The 40K Bike Route will take you around the park and the surrounding area. The 10K Run will be on several of Shelby Farms paved trails. The Memphis In May Triathlon packet pick up and all of the festivities will be at Shelby Farms Hyde Lake. The AquaBike will be available for both the Olympic and Sprint Races. You can swim and bike, then your race finishes in the transition area after after you cross the bike -in timing mat entering the transition area.

Racers receive the 2026 Custom T shirt , Finishers Medal, and post race lunch.

The 43rd Annual Memphis In May Olympic Triathlon would like to thank Edmond Orgill Park in Millington, TN for many fond memories of the races and the participants who have shared their time with us. The Memphis In May Olympic Triathlon was first introduced to Edmond Orgill Park in 1991, and has had the privilege to host many dedicated triathletes over the years. With the likes of Todd Jacobs, Timothy Deboom, Julie Moss, Mike Pigg, Natasha Badmann, Michelle Jones, Andy Potts, and many other professionals, and age groupers like 5 time USA Triathlon Triathlete of the year, Kirsten Sass, who have made The Memphis In May Olympic Triathlon rich in history. Shelby Farms, our new home, also hosted the IM Memphis 70.3.

The Memphis In May Olympic Triathlon Saturday May 9, 2026 and consists of .93 Mile Swim, 24.9 Mile Bike and 10.2 Mile Run. The Memphis in May Sprint Triathlon Saturday May 9, 2025 is a sprint triathlon that consists of a 750 meter swim 11.5 mile bike, and a 3 mile run. This event is a great way to get started in the sport of triathlon with its association with the Memphis In May Olympic Triathlon and the Memphis in May Triathlon Weekend.

Relay teams are welcome; Female, Male and Mixed. 2 and 3 person teams.

Friday May 8th , 3:30-5:30 p.m. Packet pickup at race venue.... 3:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. - “Olympic and Sprint Course Preview” & Ask the Experts with Dale Sanford, USAT Certified Coach with BPC Performance, has raced The Memphis in May Triathlon several times- making the ideal person for to ask for tips!, 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. - “Tips for Improving Your Time and Experience on the Swim” Classroom & Swimming the marked-race course.

Major Taylor Memphis would like to invite you to the 6th Annual Juneteenth Freedom Ride, Memphis, TN on Saturday, June 20, 2026 – registration will open on February 1, 2026. We will have multiple routes/distances of 26, 44, & 70 miles with supported SAG stops. Early registration is $65.00, late registration $75.00.

Do you want to get a few miles in before brunch and getting back on the road? Then join us for a Recovery ride on Sunday morning. The ride will roll out at 7:30 AM, Greenbelt Park, 2nd lot (middle parking lot) and we’ll have you back in the parking lot before 9:00 AM

Juneteenth Policies

1. The Major Taylor Memphis (MTM) Juneteenth Freedom Ride has a “No Refund Policy”.

2. If for any reason you cannot attend the event, you may request a transfer of your entry to another rider or you may request a deferral of your entry until next year.

3. Transfer and Deferral requests are to be emailed to [email protected]. Please submit the Name and Email address of the person to whom you would like to transfer your entry. There will be a $5 transfer fee.

4. The deadline for any Transfers or Deferrals will be June 1, 2026.

5. The MTM Juneteenth Freedom Ride will start rain or shine.

6. Helmets with buckled chin straps are a requirement for all riders and must be worn at all times while on your bike.

7. Headphones of any kind are not allowed.

8. Bike front and back lights recommended.
