First Responders 5K
September 4, 2026 • 6:30pm
Webster Fireman's Field, 1193-1207 Ridge Rd, Webster, NY 14580
The First Responders 5K recognizes the strength, perseverance, and courage of Police Officers, Firefighters, EMTs, 911 Operators and their families in our local community. First Responders put their lives on the line for us every day as they face hardships that most of us will never know. The repetitive negative experience of stressful and potentially traumatic events that First Responders face on a daily basis leaves them particularly vulnerable to Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. We hope that this event can raise awareness for PTSD in First Responders, and raise funds for FRST Agency, local charity that will provide support, awareness, assets, and services to First Responders seeking assistance in dealing with the effects of PTSD. Join us as we recognize the service and sacrifice of the people who dedicate their lives to protecting ours.
A portion of proceeds, as well as 100% of additional donations, will be donated to the FRST Agency.
There is no on-site registration. Please plan accordingly.
By registering for this event you are acknowledging that the date, time, location, and distance of the race may be changed, switched to virtual, or canceled at any time as deemed necessary by the Race Directors due to circumstances beyond their control. In the event that any of these scenarios happens or any other, there will be no refunds, transfers, or deferrals allowed unless otherwise stated.
On 9/3/2020, the Annal family was in a tragic car crash on the NYS Thruway. Their daughters, Maryella, 11, and Elizabeth, age 9, did not survive the accident. This event is to honor the girls and their “Angel birthdays” and bring the community that loves them together to celebrate their lives. All proceeds from the event will be shared with several community not for profits and Annal’s Angels, for the benefit of the Central New York community with a focus on literacy. Last year, donations were shared with The Baldwinsville Christmas Bureau, Friends Forever Animal Rescue, and the Baldwinsville Public Library. Past projects include the renovation of the Baldwinsville Public Library children’s room establishing the “Maryella & Elizabeth’s Children’s Corner” and fully funding endowment scholarships in each of the girl’s names.
The 5K will be at Palmer Elementary in Baldwinsville 7864 Hicks Road, Baldwinsville

Welcome to the Crosswinds Run Series! Join us in Canandaigua for a late-summer tradition that’s been bringing runners, walkers, families and the community together for over 23 years. Formerly known as the Crosswinds 5K, the Crosswinds Run Series now offers multiple race-day options designed for all ages and abilities; whether you’re chasing a PR, enjoying a scenic walk or supporting a great local cause.
5K Run/Walk
Our iconic, USA Track & Field-certified course is as fun as it is challenging, perfect for walkers, first-time racers and competitive runners alike. You’ll enjoy an exhilarating downhill first mile through the City of Canandaigua, followed by the well-known climb up West Lake Road, and finish strong on the rolling hills of Ferris Hills.
10K Run
Introduced to the series last year and back by popular demand, the 10K builds on the tradition of the 5K’s hills with a longer, more demanding route for seasoned runners looking for a rewarding challenge. This USATF-certified course has a 90-minute time limit, after which roads will reopen to traffic.
Kids Fun Run
A half-mile course entirely on the event campus, perfect for young runners (preschool through 5th grade). It’s a safe, energetic, and memorable way for kids to experience race day. Every child receives:
Race t-shirt
Finisher’s medal
Access to a fun post-race snack table
More Than a Race
The Crosswinds Run Series is more than a finish line, it’s a movement with a mission. All proceeds benefit The Spot, a local organization providing free school supplies, clothing, food and shoes to students in need across the Canandaigua and Victor School districts. Thanks to runners, walkers, volunteers and business sponsors, last year’s event raised $13,400 for The Spot. With the continued growth of the Run Series, our goal is simple: make an even bigger impact in 2026.
Are You Ready to Commit?
Whether you’re here to tackle the hills, cheer from the sidelines, or support local kids in a meaningful way, the Crosswinds Run Series offers something for everyone.
Join us and be part of a tradition that truly gives back!

Welcome to our 15th Annual Finger Lakes Mud Run! When we started this race fifteen years ago - it seemed wild to think we'd still be operating a decade and a half later. Through leadership changes, through COVID, through rain, sleet, heat, and drought, we've brought the FLMR alive every year. We are so excited to still be going strong at year 15 - and you can be sure there will be some special 15 year anniversary surprises for all of our registrants.
The Finger Lakes Mud Run is an outdoor challenge course that takes place on the beautiful grounds of Everest Park, with about 40 (in 2025) obstacles both man made and natural, that is usually just over four miles long. Designed to help cultivate camaraderie and teamwork, families and friends can look forward to an exhilarating, challenging, and extremely muddy adventure! Donations and registration net proceeds will go to Champions for Life, Inc., a non-profit organization in Auburn, NY, which operates the CFL Sports Center, Everest Park, and the Brian Bisgrove Home of Courage. For more information about Champions for Life, please click here.
Have you participated in past FLMR races? Have ideas about what you'd like to see at our 15th event? Contact us via the 'contact the race' button, and tell us what you think. Want to help participate in the planning of the Mud Run, or help construct obstacles? We always welcome input and assistance from our community of Mud Runners!
According to the Colon Cancer Coalition, colon cancer is the 4th most common cancer in the U.S. and the 2nd leading cause of cancer deaths. Early detection can make all the difference!
Strollin' for the Colon is proud to hold Toni's Race for its 15th year. The event will be held again at Stewart Lodge in Mendon Ponds Park. As with past years there will be a USATF certified (NY23008KL) 5k race to be immediately followed by a 1-mile walk. Strollin' for the Colon is a non-profit organization with the mission to raise funds to support those who are fighting colorectal cancer. Proceeds from this event will go to patients and their families who have financial needs resulting from treatment, agencies that provide education about the importance of early screening for colon cancer, as well as offer seed funding for research to beat this disease.
Along with the race and walk there is a fun run and other activities for kids. There is fun, music, food and the opportunity to win great prizes! Also attending are physicians and vendors to provide information and answer any questions about colon cancer and any related topics.
