Welcome to the MCRRC Stone Mill 50 Mile Run!
This 50 mile trail run showcases the beauty of both the Seneca Greenway and Muddy Branch trails in Montgomery County, Maryland. The course traverses forested, rolling terrain on a primarily single track, dirt trail. There are small stream crossings. Most of the course drains well, but parts can be muddy in wet weather.
Volunteer!
As a participant in this event, we ask that you commit to volunteer 6 or more hours before race day with your local running club, any local race, work on the trails or any other running-related non-profit organization (such as Girls on the Run, Let Me Run, etc.). This is done on the honor system. No proof will be requested.
The Noland Trail 50K & Relay gives runners the opportunity to race the ONLY event run on the beautiful Noland Trail in The Mariners’ Museum Park. The 50K will consist of 6 laps on the trail, and a short section of course before and after each trail lap. Relay teams can be made up of 2-6 team members, and take on the 6 laps together. In between laps runners can hang out together in "Tortuga" and enjoy time with one another. All runners gain access to the Mariners' Museum Fall Festival that will feature live music, craft beer & cider tastings and activities for the entire family.
The race start times are set up so that the slowest runners/teams start first (7:30AM is first wave of runners), and throughout the morning gradually faster runners/teams will start, with the fastest runners starting around 8:45-9:00AM. This helps to keep congestion down on the trail, and also makes it so that most participants are finishing around the same timeframe. Start times are determined using the mile pace submitted during registration. Team start times will be based on average pace of the team. Start times will be posted about 2 weeks prior to the run.

Walkers are welcome to attend this event.
The 3rd Annual "Feed A Veteran 5K" is scheduled for Saturday, November 7, 2026. Watch this page for registration updates.
D.C. has over 500 homeless veterans living on the streets or temporary housing facilities. During the winter months, these veterans face extreme cold out in the elements and have no where to turn for support and a hot meal.
The Feed a Veteran 5K on Saturday, November 7, 2026 is a fun 3.1 mile road race on an enclosure golf car path of Old Hickory Golf Course in Woodbridge, VA. The race is organized with community partners to raise money and provide hot food and winter survival kits for the homeless veterans in DC and provide suicide prevention programs for veterans.
What makes this race incredibly unique is that after the race, all participants and volunteers will have the opportunity to assemble sandwiches and soup that will be delivered to these homeless veterans the afternoon after the race!
