    Advanced 5K

Improve your 5K time and fitness level with our Advanced 5k training program. This training program is designed to teach you more advanced running techniques and to help you continue on your running journey in a supportive environment. We want to help you beat your previous personal records and set new goals for yourself, all the while providing guidance, motivation, weekly group training runs, and more advanced educational clinics. We will cover topics designed to help you improve your 5K time such as proper pacing and good form, as well as building on previous topics like nutrition, choosing the right gear, and injury prevention. Before beginning the program, participants should be able to run 3 miles at a steady pace with limited walk breaks.

The Farragut Primary School PTO is hosting its first 5K Dolphin Dash Fundraiser. The event will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at the Primary School. We will have kids dashes (ages 3-8 years old) and the 5K run/walk with prizes for place finishers. The Dolphin Dash is planned around family, fun, fitness and community!

Finley’s Fun Run is a separate but related event to the Dolphin Dash 5K and will take place on Thursday, April 23, during your student’s Encore time.

Because this event is held during the school day, every FPS student will have the opportunity to participate. Children will run laps outdoors in the grassy area on campus, or inside the gym if weather does not cooperate. Our fantastic FPS music teachers will be DJing the event, and each participant will receive a healthy snack and a ribbon upon completing their run.

Our goal is to come together as a community by supporting our school and children so that they may have a better education. All proceeds will be used by FPS PTO to fund additional playground equipment designed specifically for students with limited mobility or that require aid to access the existing playground equipment. These students will be able to enjoy expanded independent play areas alongside their peers. Our hope is to raise $20,000 to purchase items that will be available for student use during the 2026-27 school year and beyond.

We hope you’ll consider supporting this exciting event with a donation. Thank you for helping make Finley’s Fun Run and the Dolphin Dash a memorable experience for our students!

If you are interested in donating or sponsorship opportunities, please email us at fpsptodolphindash@gmail.com

Thank you for your continued support!

Race for a Reason is more than a 5K, it’s a chance to show up for our community and the animals who need us most. Join us for a fun, family-friendly run at Pinnacle Turkey Creek on April 26th as we come together to support the Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley, a local nonprofit dedicated to providing care, shelter, and second chances for animals in need.

Whether you’re running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines, every step makes a difference. Proceeds from this year’s race will directly benefit the Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley, helping fund lifesaving programs, medical care, and adoption services for animals across our region.

Lace up your shoes, bring your friends and race for a cause that truly matters. 🐾💙
