We have a FANTASTIC gang who keep the positive vibes going for all. This is a fat-ass-style event. We'll provide the basics, including Untapped Maple Aid electrolyte drink, snacks, and burgers & dogs (with vegetarian options). If you'd like a unique item, such as something GF, please bring it (and some to share). Fat-ass means- this is a barebones event. Bring a food item to share—chips, salty and sweet snacks, pickles, soda, or juice, to name a few. We'll help as much as possible on race day to get you what you need, but we won't have EVERYTHING. If you need something special, please bring it. The run begins and ends at the Chester town park, which has lots of parking. Families

There is a pool with a lifeguard (weather dependent), skate park, softball fields, tennis courts, walking trails, and an 18-hole disc golf course. Swim (the humidity on race day is HIGH) and cheer your runner on. JOIN US! First Draft
Date: Saturday, August 8th
Start time: 7:30am (108mi.) and 12:00pm (54mi.)
Location: Twig Farm, West Cornwall, Vermont
Organized by Women’s Cycling Collective
Supported by Twig Farm
Come join a warm community of brightly spirited, endurance-minded riders as we journey through the rolling and occasionally lumpy gravel hills of Addison County. Our 108- and 54-mile routes begin and end at Twig Farm in Cornwall, Vermont, offering a beautiful and unique setting to challenge yourself, connect with others, remain well nourished, and enjoy a memorable day on the bike.
Whether you’re experienced with longer-distance riding or are building your comfort, confidence, and endurance, there's a place for you here. Our goal is to create opportunities for riders of all experience and confidence levels to ride together, learn from one another, and discover what's possible through shared miles and shared experience. We believe some of the most meaningful growth happens not only through individual effort, but through the encouragement, insight, and camaraderie of a supportive community. To put it most simply, we grow stronger together.
The ride is intentionally structured to give athletes the flexibility to plan and approach the day in a way that best supports their individual goals. Whether focused on performance, practicing pacing and fueling strategies, building confidence over longer distances, or simply enjoying a strong day on the bike, the format creates opportunities to ride dynamically with others while pursuing individual objectives. By fostering supportive connections and shared experiences, the event is designed to maximize engagement, enhance performance, and create meaningful opportunities for learning and growth.
Riders taking on the 108-mile route depart at 7:30am to complete the first 54-mile loop before returning to Twig Farm. At 12:00pm, after an opportunity to rest, refuel and regroup over a shared brunch/lunch, all riders head back out to complete the second loop, this time joined by riders taking on the 54-mile route. This offers a dynamic riding environment that is quite different from a traditional endurance ride, where groups often separate early and remain unchanged for the rest of the day.
Longer isn’t always the goal. The 108mi. route may appeal to you because you’ve been building your endurance. Riding a shorter distance, however, such as the 54mi route may allow you to challenge yourself in different ways, pushing your pace, riding more dynamically with others, practicing fueling and pacing strategies at higher intensity, or simply discovering a new level of confidence. Both distances offer meaningful opportunities for growth, learning and accomplishment. The “right” choice is the one that best aligns with your goals for the day.
This format creates something that doesn't often exist in larger group endurance rides. Rather than many riders spending the day falling farther behind the finish while others are already celebrating, the midpoint becomes a shared start (or restart) point. Athletes have the opportunity to reconnect, meet new people, form new groups, and begin the second half of the day together. The shared meal offers nourishment, creates space to reflect on the first half of the ride, compare experiences, adjust pacing or fueling strategies, and apply those lessons immediately during the afternoon. Whether your goal is performance, confidence, learning, or connection, the day is designed to maximize engagement while providing meaningful opportunities to build on the fitness, skills, and experience developed through training.
Women's Cycling Collective and Twig Farm are committed to creating collaborative, rider-focused opportunities that support, encourage, and connect riders as they explore their potential through training and endurance through the context of the bike and the natural world. By bringing together riders with diverse backgrounds and abilities, we hope to foster engaging learning experiences, build lasting connections, and cultivate a culture where all riders can thrive and grow. We invite you to be part of the collective energy that uplifts, empowers, and inspires riders, both on and off the bike.
Thank you to our generous business supporters and partners for enriching rider experience and making this event possible: Twig Farm, Velocio, Sunrise Orchards, Frog Hollow Bikes, Darn Tough Vermont, Bicycle Express and Julbo.

Musette bags have been donated by Velocio for the first fourteen riders who register under all categories combined.

Riders completing the 54mi will bring fresh legs and new energy, while 108mi riders will bring the experience (and accumulated fatigue) of an already challenging first lap.
The route will be partially marked. Riders are expected to carry bike computers/GPS/phones that can support full navigation.

The Bike Hub is proud to announce our Sunday Epic ride series! These are all-day rides featuring some of the best mixed-terrain riding the tri-state area has to offer. Forgotten woods roads, fast gravel, rugged singletrack, and even a bit of hike-a-bike. These rides will be long, difficult, and absolutely beautiful. While there is no perfect bike for a Sunday Epic, anything with around a 2 inch tire will work. More details on terrain will be included in each event post. Sunday Epic's will be held the third Sunday of every month from April-September. Start location may vary, but will usually end will some sort of food and drink situation. Wheels down at 8am always.
This one is gonna be extra tough. Bring a mountain bike of some sort, curly bars may not get you far. My goal here was to put together a ride with the toughest possible terrain and most amount of climbing in the least mileage. Enter the Grass Mtn Sufferset. If you've never visited this area you are in for a treat. Starts and ends at the Shaftsbury Historical Society on 7A, park by the red barn.
A few notes on the nitty-gritty of these rides.
Sunday Epic's are fully self supported. Bring everything you need to successfully finish the route. We expect you to carry basics like spare tube, pump, multi-tool, patch kit, food and water, etc. Although we occasionally stop at a convenience store, there are many times where the ride is too remote for that to be an option.
We generally try to ride together, but you are welcome to do your own thing as long as you have the route. Group pace usually hovers somewhere around the 10mph average mark, but may be slower depending on terrain/climbing.
Expect this to take a good chunk of the day. Occasional stops for snacks etc. We move pretty continuously, but also aren't in a rush.
RideWithGPS link here.
Note that we don't charge anything for these rides, but we do welcome donations! We are a community-based 501c3 nonprofit focused on removing barriers to cycling for all within the tri-state area. We provide education, free access to bikes and cycling accessories, and provide a place for people of all ages and abilities to connect through cycling. For more info on our shop and programs, click here. Thanks!

POST RACE PARTY
Post race party with Live Music will feature the much loved hot food truck that we hired last year serving tacos & rice bowls. We're also bringing back the Ice Cream truck & cold N.A. Beer from our friends at Athletic Brewing Company.
TIRE RECOMMENDATIONS
Our tire recommendation is a tire like Panaracer GravelKing SK 38mm or 40 mm. The unpaved sections have a wide mix of surfaces and can get pretty rocky - especially for the additional miles in the MEGA route. We do not recommend racing with a traditional road bike and/or slick tires.
VOLUNTEERS
We'd greatly appreciate it if friends or family members could help out for a few hours at one of the aid stations. All volunteers will get one of our JGG event shirts and free entry into the post race awards party with food & drinks. They can sign up right here on BikeReg. (We'd welcome local non-profit groups to run an aid station as a fundraiser as well).
