The Trail That Can't Be Concord 20K, 10K, and Kids Trail Mile

TIME & PLACE: 10k and 20k races start at 8:00 am, KIDS RACE starts at 7:30 am. Starts/finishes at Concord Park on Northshore Drive. Google Maps Link to Start.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: A wild and wooly course -- 1 lap is 10k, 2 laps are 20k, and a fast and furious Kids Trail Mile all await participants at this year's Trails That Can't Be Concord.

DIRECTIONS: Take I-40 to Campbell Station Rd, exit and head south. Cross Kingston Pike and continue to the roundabout junction with Northshore Drive. Turn right and go 1.3 miles. Parking will be available on the left and/or right. Watch pre-race email for details on this.

REGISTRATION AND FEES (NO REFUNDS AND NO BIB TRANSFERS): Registration fees above, KTC member discount accepted. Not a member of KTC? Sign up here!

SPECIAL SERIES REGISTRATION OFFERS: Sign up online for 7 for $109 Season Pass, or Kids 7 for $29 Kids Pass bundle deals and SAVE BIG! Trail Series Bundle Expires June 1.

KIDS TRAIL RACE: Kids will run a moderately hilly and truly fun out and back course of about a mile.

T-SHIRTS: Special limited edition T-shirts will be printed for the series. This is the same shirt as at all other Treadin’ Trodden Trails races; one shirt per runner PER SEASON please. Taking multiple shirts minimizes monies we are able to donate to trail friendly causes.

TTT SERIES AWARDS: This year we'll be awarding the top 3 in each division free race entries. Additionally we'll hold a drawing so that two lucky runners get a pair of shoes, thanks to the generous sponsorship of Runners Market. We'll once again be presenting the awards at the annual KTC Holiday Party in December. Reminder, to qualify for series awards (and free shoes!), you'll need to be a member of KTC, and you will need to have volunteered two times during the course of the trail race season

RESULTS: Results will be available on this RunSignup page at the Results link.

COURSE ETIQUETTE: We reserve the right to disqualify anyone who exhibits unsportsmanlike conduct or is abusive to volunteers. Due to insurance regulations, no headsets, earphones, bicycles, baby strollers, roller blades or pets on the course.

SAFETY: There will be at least one aid station set up but there will be only very small cups, so we urge you to carry your own hydration container. We also strongly recommend that anyone sensitive to insect stings or bites carry their own medication. Finally, we urge that everyone do some pre-race training offroad, as there is no substitute for experience. We want you to have a good time.

SAFETY POLICY CLARIFICATION: Our primary goal is to keep everybody safe out there in the woods. We've had some interest by younger folks in running the longer races, and we're all over that idea, but we are also concerned about their safety. For the remainder of the season (and moving forward), if a runner is under 12 years old, he or she will need to be accompanied by an adult in order to run the adult race (i.e. not the kids mile). Also, and this is less of a safety concern and more of a concern for the welfare of our volunteers: We'll need to start enforcing the 18:00/mile minimum pace. This has been our policy all along but we've gotten a little lax and this keeps our volunteers in the woods far longer than they should have to be. Moving forward, each race will have a sweeper, and runners will need to be moving at greater than an 18:00/mile pace to stay in the race. Don't get caught by the sweep!

DON'T TAKE A BIB IF YOU'RE NOT RUNNING. This is safety-related - we want to make sure that everybody who starts the race stays safe. If you take a bib, we think you're running the race. Then when you don't show up at the finish, we have to try and track you down and make sure you're not lost in the woods or hurt. So please -- if you're not running the race, don't take a bib. Also, if you have to drop out of the race, please let one of the race officials know so you are accounted for. Also, don't crunch or fold the bib, or tear off the bottom. We need an unspoiled bib to record your time and finish place.

INFO FOR RUNNING OR VOLUNTEERING: We love our volunteers! Please connect with us if you'd like to volunteer ([email protected]), and you can find openings at the "Volunteer" link above. We value volunteerism highly. Runners can take their participation in the KTC TTT series to the next level by volunteering! Not only does the success of each trail race depend on our great community of volunteers, but volunteerism is required for placement in the esteemed Grand Prix Rankings. In order to qualify for a Grand Prix award, runners must also volunteer for a minimum of two events. Each trail race has opportunities for both folks running in the event and those preferring to provide support during the race. Volunteer positions can be found and selected on the respective race page on Runsignup.com. No experience is necessary and one might argue that volunteering is more fun than running. Come out, support the community and secure your place in the Grand Prix hierarchy!

***Want the super cool Cooling Towel? REGISTER EARLY! Limited quantities available. One giveaway per participant in the series, please.

The Knoxville Track Club, in partnership with local breweries, is proud to present our Seventh Edition of the Beer Run Series! Join us March 22 - May 17 as we offer 6 Beer Runs to benefit H.A.L.T.

H.A.L.T is a non-profit 501(c)(3) program that provides therapeutic intervention for at-risk adolescents through a series of dog obedience training classes. Dogs are rescued from local animal shelters to participate in the class. With the help of adult volunteers, adolescents teach the dogs basic obedience commands, providing therapeutic intervention for the student trainers while increasing the adoptability of shelter dogs. The dogs are adopted into suitable homes after the class is complete.

    Details:

March 22: Flock Beer and Wine

    March 29: Crafty Bastard Brewery

    April 19: Monday Night Brewing

April 26: EAST by Orange Hat

    May 3: Trailhead Beer Market

    May 17: Tri-Hop Brewery

Each week KTC will route a 2-4 mile course that starts from the designated brewery. These are social, untimed runs. Route and further details will be in your email.

KTC Staff will be on site by 2:00 for registration, giveaway pick-up, door prize distribution (if you're lucky), and beer toasting.

Single events are $20 each, but multi-event discounts apply if purchased during one transaction: i.e. additional events are cheaper! The more you buy, the better the deal (1st event $20, 2nd event $15, 3rd event $10, 4th event $5, 5th event $5, 6th event $5). Plus, if you register for all six events you'll earn a Stainless Steel Pint Cup!

New for 2026: We love celebrating our local breweries, but we get it... sometimes it's hard to know what to order based on your preferred tastes. This year, we're partnering with ACE Tours to help you curate the best pre- and post-run hydration possible. Ace has been leading tours of Knoxville's brewery scene for years and she'll be around to help you match your taste preferences to each breweries tap list!

KTC COUPON CODES ARE NOT VALID FOR THIS EVENT. All profits are going to charity. Usage of coupon codes will limit our ability to provide giveaways to you and prohibit us from supporting our local charity partners.

Participants will receive 1 giveaway for the entire series, as supplies last.

Breweries may provide discounts on beer purchases for registered runners.

Each week runners will be entered into a drawing for door prizes.
