BadgerPalooza
What Is BadgerPalooza?
BadgePalooza is an ultra marathon presented by JLD Events taking place at the Autumn Lake Winery. BadgerPalooza consists of 24 – 5K runs. Athletes will run a 5K starting at the top of the hour, every hour for 24 hours for a total of 74.4 miles. 12 and 6 hour options are also available as well as two person relay teams.
When is BadgerPalooza?
The 24 hour race starts on Friday, October 16, 2026 at 6pm, the 12 hour race starts on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at 6am, and the 6 hour race starts on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at noon.
Where is BadgerPalooza?
The event takes place at the Autumn Lake Winery in Williamstown, New Jersey – 870 W Malaga Road, Williamstown, NJ
What is the terrain?
The 5K run take place on the property of Autumn Lake Winery and will take you through trails of hard packed dirt, some grass, sand, and loose dirt, around two lakes and through the vineyard. The course may or may not include stairs. This is a rain or shine event. If there is rain prior to or on race day the course will include muddy areas so plan accordingly.
Rules:
Each athlete or relay team will start the 5K at the top of every hour. If they finish the 5K in less than an hour they will rest/wait until the next hour to run again. Runners must be in the start corral by the next 5K start time. If you miss the start, you’re out of the race. This could be due to not completing the previous 5K within the hour, spending too much time in your home base, just not being able to make it to the start line, etc. You must start with the group to stay in the race.
Relay teams will consist of 2 athletes (or 4 members for the new 4 person relay for the 24 hour race). Relay teams can be all female, all male, or coed. The same basic rules described above apply to relay teams. For the 24 hour 2 person relay, each relay team member must run a minimum of nine 5Ks for the team to remain in the race. For the 24 hour 4 person relay, each relay team member must run six 5Ks for the team to remain in the race. For the 12 hour and 6 hour races each teammate must complete half of the 5Ks for the team to remain in the race.
Scoring System:
Each 5K will be chip timed. Times for each 5K completed will be added together to get the athlete’s or team’s total time over their 24, 12, or 6 hour event. The athlete that completes all the 5Ks for their given event and has the lowest total time will be the winner. In the unlikely event of a tie, the athlete (male, female, and relay team) that finished the last 5K fastest will be the winner.
Other Information:
This will be a cup free race so please be prepared with your own bottle or cup for drinks. No refunds or deferrals will be permitted. There is a large grass field you pass on each loop where all athletes will be able to place pop up tents, chairs, home bases, crewing, nutrition/hydration needs and where spectators can hangout. The area goes right up to the fence that lines the course but spots are on first come first serve basis. You MUST CROSS FINISH LINE BEFORE YOU CAN HEAD TO YOUR SPOT. We will have an aid station close to the start/finish area with basic ultra race nutrition and hydration including: Water, sodas, broth, coffee, food, snacks, fruit, candy, etc.
Course Records:
24 Hour - Henry Hodgson - 10 hours, 26 minutes, 23 seconds - Record set in 2025
12 Hour - Landon Forero - 4 hours, 13 seconds - Record set in 2025
6 Hour - Elise Mueller - 2 hours, 1 minute, 39 seconds - Record set in 2025
