Withrow Warrior 5K – Jerrod Withrow Memorial

Race starts at 10:30am | All donations go to the Withrow family

Join us for the Withrow Warrior 5K, a powerful and meaningful race honoring the life and legacy of Jerrod Withrow. Jerrod was the friend, son, brother, uncle, father, and husband all men should aspire to be and he was taken from us far too soon. This race honors the person that he was, the life that he lived, and the service that he provided to others.

Jerrod was always the friendliest person in the room — the one making everyone laugh, putting people at ease, and lifting the energy around him. At the same time, he was one of the hardest workers you’d ever meet, constantly pushing himself to work harder, go farther, and become better.

On race day, that’s exactly what we look for.

Show up. Smile. Have a laugh.

And when it’s time, dig deep and see what you’re capable of.

This event is built for runners chasing PRs, first-time racers showing up courageously, and a community that believes in running for something bigger than a finish time.

    Race Location

The race starts and finishes at Helicon Brewing

📍 102 Union Avenue, Oakdale, PA

    Course Details

This is a true out-and-back 5K on the scenic Panhandle Trail:

Run 1.55 miles toward McDonald, turn around, and head back

The trail becomes paved at the 0.8-mile mark, making this a fast, smooth course

We run all of our races in the same direction, allowing runners to come back year after year and keep chasing faster times

    PRs Welcome 🔔

This race introduces our NEW PR Bell & PR Award:

Run your fastest-ever 5K at one of our races and earn a PR Pin

First race ever? That counts — you get a pin just for showing up

Every PR finisher gets the chance to ring the bell

    Rilyn’s Way 🤍

Rilyn Nicole Hughes was a beautiful 7-year-old girl who lived just a mile or two down the road from our race. After courageously fighting Neuroblastoma for five and a half years, Rilyn passed away just a few weeks ago surrounded by those who loved her.

Before she passed, we announced that we would designate the final half mile of all our races in her honor. We have officially named this last section of every race “Rilyn’s Way”.

You will see a sign installed along the trail at the ½-mile-to-go mark. Please feel free to stop, take a picture, or use Rilyn’s strength and spirit to help you finish strong.

    Race Perks:

High-quality race shirts (included and always a runner favorite)

Finisher medals for all 5K participants

Dream Caffeine on site serving their incredible coffee ☕️

Whether you’re racing for a PR, honoring those we’ve lost, or simply showing up to be part of something meaningful, the Withrow Warrior 5K is a race built on purpose, strength, and community.

Run fast. Ring the bell. Remember why you run.
