Join us for the 14th (and Final) Annual Run for the Titan Trail 5k/1 Mile Walk/Tot Run!

The chip timed 5K run and 1 mile walk courses will begin at Shaler Area Elementary School and circle through local neighborhood streets, ending back at the school. The Run for the Titan Trail 5k is a fundraiser to help fund the cost of a year-end reading incentive trip to Millvale Riverfront Park and Three Rivers Heritage Trail for Shaler Area Elementary School students. Free voluntary reading in our school has increased exponentially since the creation of Blazing a Titan Trail: A Reading Adventure. Students strive to read 18 books throughout the school year to attend the trip.

Blazing a Titan Trail: A Reading Adventure is a school-wide reading incentive program at Shaler Area Elementary School, an upper elementary school with 1,000 students in grades 4, 5, and 6. The program has been developed by a volunteer committee of teachers, librarians, parents, and administrators.

Check-in/Registration will begin at 7:45. The 50-yard tot run will begin at 8:50 am. The 5K race will start at 9:00 am and the 1 mile walk will begin directly after. Please register by April 5 to receive a t-shirt (limited numbers and sizes of t-shirts will be available after this date).

Note - $5.00 off registration discount for students will be applied once age group is chosen.

This years 100 mile relay will be held on May 16, 2026. Once registration closes, a list of starting times will be sent out so participants can see what time they will run.

    The Vision

Miles2Meals was created to fight hunger in our local community. By coming together as a community in a fun way, we can give back to our own areas and combat local issues.

    How It Works

Obviously an unusual race format will come with some confusion in regards to sign ups. Here's how it works...

    1. You register for the race individually, submitting your prospective mile time and indicating what time of day you are available to run.

    2. Teams will run in the same group of 100 people, but will run consecutively, allowing friends/family members to stay together. You may request to be near certain participants and we will accommodate the best we can.

    3. Once 200 runners have registered, registration will close and two teams of 100 runners each will be compiled. A waiting list of participants over 200 will be compiled and consecutive teams of 100 people will be created if registration reaches such numbers.

    4. An email will be sent to all runners indicating their place in line and the approximate time of day that they will be slated to run their mile.

    5. Runners are welcome to come and go as they please, but they should be at the North Allegheny Intermediate High School track a little bit in advance of their scheduled time so that they do not miss the handoff.

    6. Results will be live-streamed so you can keep track of the race’s progress and know when to be at the track.

    7. Upon arrival at the track, you should pick up your bib number and shirt (if you ordered one) and await your turn with the baton.

    8. Once you receive the baton, you run four laps and hand it off to the next person in line.

    9. When runner #100 crosses the finish line, the baton will have traveled a full 100 miles and the team’s total time will be registered.

While the race is going on, you are welcome to partake in any of the various activities and foods that will be available, and you are encouraged to cheer on your teammates.

Information regarding awards will be communicated closer to the event date.

The Sewickley Classic 5K is a new spring tradition built around running, walking, and bringing people together in the heart of Sewickley.

Taking place in May 2026, the event features a scenic, fast 5K road race through the village, along with additional run and walk options, youth activities, and a post-race community festival. Whether you’re chasing a PR, pushing a stroller, walking with friends, or just here for the celebration, there’s a place for you.

The morning culminates at War Memorial Park, where runners, families, neighbors, and local businesses come together for food, music, activities, and a shared sense of community pride. The Sewickley Classic is designed to be welcoming, energetic, and local at its core—an event that feels just as much like a neighborhood gathering as it does a race.

Proceeds from the event benefit Laughlin Children’s Center, supporting vital programs that serve children and families throughout the region.

Run it. Walk it. Celebrate it.

    Welcome to the Sewickley Classic.
