Strut Your Kidney - Hybrid - 5K, 10K, Family Fun Run/Walk/Roll or Virtual
Strut Your Kidney to celebrate, honor, and raise awareness for children with chronic kidney disease. All proceeds raised will go to Northwest Kidney Kids, the only organization supporting children with kidney disease and their families in the Northwest. Let's come together as a community so celebrate and fundraise for our amazing kidney families!
Here is how it works...
Step 1. Register to run/walk/roll or our fun run and invite your friends to join!
Step 2. Help NW Kidney Kids raise more awareness and financial support for children with kidney disease and their families.
Step 3. Run/walk/roll with us in person on Sunday September 21st 2025 or on your own and on your own time!
*If on your own, submit your time and a finishing photo to be added to the Strut Your Kidney results leader board. Post a picture of your run to Facebook or Instagram using #strutyourkidney.

The Silverton Runners Club and Oktoberfest are again teaming up to host the Oktoberfest 5k and 10 races. The races have a little something for every type of runner. Track runner? The start and finish is on the Kennedy High School track. Road runner? The course meanders through the hamlet of Mt. Angel. Trail runner? Parts of the course are on gravel. Like it flat? It mostly is. Like hills? We have a couple. Like a good party after? Mt. Angel Oktoberfest! Every finisher will receive a pint glass and a ticket for a complimentary beer at the Oktoberfest. See, we got you all covered! See you there.
What you need to know:
The 10k course will be new this year.
We allow strollers, please line up in the back.
Though we like dogs, please do not bring them to run the races.
There will be day of registration.
If you register for the 10k, please maintain at least a 15:00/mile pace. The course will officially close at 10:30 so our volunteers can enjoy the Oktoberfest activities.
Proceeds from the races go to support the Kennedy, Silverton and Gervais middle & high school track and cross country programs.
Packet pick-up is Sunday (day of race) at the Kennedy High School track, starting at 7:00 AM. Day of registration will be from 7:00am to 8:45am.
To guarantee a t-shirt, register and purchase your shirt before September 1.

US Road Running
Participate in one or all of the STRIDE run/walk events! Taking place in some of Salem’s most loved parks and held once a month on a Saturday morning, May-September. Strollers and dogs on a leash are welcome!
Maps are emailed to participants after 5 p.m. on Friday, the night before the event.
Bibs are available for pick up at/on the day of the event. For this event, bibs are available at the picnic shelter off parking lot 3.
This course is in Minto-Brown Island Park on hard trail surfaces.
All levels of runners and walkers encouraged to participate!!
Registration fees includes a long sleeve tee shirt and personalized bib if registered by 11:59 pm on September 17th.

Forest Grove Lions partner with Pacific University College of Optometry and School of Audiology to support its students and staff. 100% of monies raised by this event are returned to the community to fund scholarships, equipment and assist the Pacific University AMIGOS program. The Harvest Classic offers a flat and fast course with scenic views of downtown and Lake Sacajawea. Come set a new PR and have fun while running or walking a beautiful course and raise funds and awareness to eliminate hunger in our community. Both the 5K and 10K are USA Track & Field-certified courses, so you know your PR, or your age group record, American Record or World Record (??!!) will be real. If you don't care about records, just come and have a good time.
Participants can use the RaceJoy application to learn about the city's history along the route. This year we have two special events.

9:20 AM – ¼ Mile Pee Wee Fun Run – Free for kids ages 9 and under. The Child & Adolescent Clinic will have games and activities for the kids beginning at 8:30 AM The C&AC is the exclusive sponsor of the Pee Wee Fun Run and is the event organizer.
Parking: There is plenty of parking nearby.
Race Course. The Harvest Classic begins at the Life Works building at 906 New York Street in Longview. The course is flat and fast with scenic views of downtown and Lake Sacajawea.

Timing Equipment. Athletic Timing uses Lynx timing equipment. RFID antennas capture your time using disposable chips that are fastened to the back of your racing bib. Take the chips home with you - you will not be asked to return the chips. Wear your bib on the upper chest to maximize the chip reads.
Weather is usually mild. Race time temperatures are likely to range from the low 40s to mid 50s.
Photos. A photographer will be on hand and will post Harvest Classic photos on-line. Please share photos of your run/walk on the Harvest Classic Facebook page.

Runtoberfest is a 5K Run/Walk, and Kid's Mile (12 and under) to support the McMinnville Education Foundation that starts and finishes at McMinnville High School’s Wortman Stadium! Help support McMinnville schools at this family-friendly event! Registration for the 5K is $35 online and $48 day of race. Choose your school affiliation for a chance to win the Golden Shoe Trophy for your Mac 40 school you would like to support.
