    NEW EVENT! The Homer Parade Mile.

    Lead the Homer Davenport Community Festival parade! The Homer Parade Mile is Saturday morning, August 1. Runners will "lead" the parade by running the parade route through downtown Silverton, being cheered by the thousands of people lining the parade route.

    The start will be on North Water St. near Silverton Middle School and finish just past Roth's Fresh Market on North First St.

    Combine The Homer Parade Mile with the Homer's Classic 8k on Sunday to see who is the overall mile/8k winner.

    Here are the Homer Davenport Community Festival Race options:

    1 Mile run: Saturday, August 1, 9:45am start time.

    Runners ages 0-9, $0

    Runners ages 10-12, $5

    Runners over 13, $10

    Family price, up to 10 family members, $20

    Day of registration ends at 9:15am.

    2 Mile run/walk: Sunday, August 3, 9:00am start time.

    $20 until May 1: $25 Mary 1 - July 31 (online registration ends at 5:00pm) : $30 day of race.

    8k run: Sunday, August 3, 9:00am start time.

    $20 until May 1: $25 May 1 - July 31(online registration ends at 5:00pm) : $30 day of race.

    Do the Duo, 1Mile/8k runs: Run the Mile on Saturday, the 8k on Sunday.

    $30 until May 1, $35 March 1 - July 31 (online registration ends at 5:00pm). No day of race registration for the combined races.

    T-shirts, $ 15 extra. Register before July 14 to be guaranteed a shirt.

    Race packets are available day of race.

    Sunday, August 2,The Homer Classic 8k and 2 mile run/walk start and finish of is Silverton High School, 1456 Pine St., Silverton, OR. There is plenty of parking at the high school.

    The 8k run features a scenic, flat and fast course running through the Historic Gallon House Bridge, the only covered bridge in Marion County.

    The races are organized by the Silverton Runners' Club. Proceeds go to support the Silverton, Gervais and Mt. Angel schools' track and cross country programs, scholarships for youth runners to attend running camps, and other local fitness activities.

    No dogs or motorized vehicles permitted.

    Hope in motion 2K & 5K for Parkinson’s is a community charity run/walk bringing neighbors together to support individuals and families affected by Parkinson’s disease.

    This event benefits Parkinson’s research, education, and local support programs that help improve quality of life for those living with the disease. Funds raised will go toward advancing treatment efforts and providing resources for caregivers and families.

    8:00 am - Half Marathon

    8:05 am - 10K

    8:10 am - 5K

    10:30 am - Kids Run (untimed kids 0.4 mile run or walk)

    Key Event Details:

    Dogs and strollers are not allowed on the course. If you have little ones interested in being a part of race day, please consider taking part in our untimed kids race (they also receive a bib, shirt and medal)!

    All Race Courses are set to end at 12:30 PM. Half Marathon participants, please ensure you are able to complete the event in under 4 hours and 30 minutes (roughly 20:35 pace per mile)

    Packet Pickup will take place on Friday (9/11/26) and Saturday (9/12/26).

    Pre-Race offerings:

    Post-Race:

    Enjoy a complimentary 5-ounce pour from our premier sponsor and exclusive wine provider, Willamette Valley Vineyards, or a 12 oz glass of craft beer or cider.

    Enjoy music and a variety of food offerings from local food trucks for purchase after the event as well as awards for overall and age group finishers.

    Parking:

    Please prioritize using Street Parking in Downtown Salem as well as downtown parking garages. Plan for plenty of time to arrive and get situated prior to the event. The Riverfront park Carousel Parking lot will fill very fast the morning of the event.

    Please plan accordingly! Day-of packet pickup ends at 7:50 am. The race will begin on time at 8:00 am.

    1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards will be given for the overall winners, master's winners (age 40+) and the following age groups:
