What is a Tunnel to Towers Climb?
The Tunnel to Towers 5K Run/Walk & Climb Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of StephenSiller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001 after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers. We honor all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and support our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty! For more information on the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, please visit t2t.org.

Trail Circuit Run: 1.6-ish miles to +35.7 miles. We run until it's done!
One start. One course. A lot of shared effort.
The clock shrinks, the laps stack up, and the group naturally reshapes itself. Between rounds, there’s time to catch your breath, share a laugh, and decide to go out one more time.
However far you make it, you’re part of the night and part of how end Summer Camp on a high note.
And when it’s all over share burgers, s'mores, stories, and celebrate the night’s together.

Queens is all about diversity. It’s NYC’s second most populous borough with 2.3 M people living in a community with the highest rate of racial and ethnic variety of all populous counties in the nation. So, there is no better way to start and finish a race in Queens, NYC than through Flushing Meadows Park. You’ll run past the Unisphere on a relatively lat and fast course with two small uphill sections when you cross an overpass. The views from the overpass are so beautiful that you’ll hardly notice.
