NYC Summer Half, 5 Miler

THE SOUNDVIEW 5K is a 5000 meter race within Soundview Park in the Bronx. The paved course is flat and fast, with one hell of a hairpin turn! You'll run through an urban green space with playgrounds, soccer & baseball fields, and an amphitheater. Oh, and you'll also run along the Bronx River!

Same Day Registration: $50 (Available on the event day for participants who didn't register in advance)

A prize will be awarded to the 1st place male and 1st place female runners of each wave.

Finisher Medals will be provided to participants.

Age Group Awards will go to the top Male & Female for the following Age Groups:

• 17 - 29

• 30 - 39

• 40 - 49

• 50 - 59

• 60 +

The race starts at 9:30am.

The SOUNDVIEW 5K will have a waved start method.

• 9:30 AM - Elite Wave

• 10:00 AM - Community Wave

This event is directed by an RRCA Certified Race Director.

Come out and support Spectrum for Living at our Michael B. Carpenter 5K, Walk & Doggie Dash, benefiting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities! This exciting 5K event will take place at Overpeck Park (Ridgefield Park Area III), featuring a USATF Certified Course. Registration opens at 8:30 AM, with the race starting at 10:00 AM. Awards and lunch will follow around 11:00 AM.

The race kicks off near the amphitheater, where parking is available. If you’re coming from Challenger Road, the amphitheater and great lawn will be on your right.

Everyone is welcome to run, walk, or roll through the park with or without your dog. Just make sure your dog is leashed, up-to-date on vaccinations, and well-behaved with people and other dogs.

Pre-registration is encouraged, but day-of registration will also be available.

The Denim Runs are the first national race series dedicated to honoring survivors of sexual assault. During Sexual Assault Awareness Month, these runs unite communities across the country to celebrate survivor strength, foster belonging, and redefine what support and solidarity look like, one stride at a time.

Zoomies Run Club (founded by the Okamoto sisters) is partnering with the Summer Foundation to host the NYC Denim Run. More details to come!

The FDNY Foundation is proud to partner with SL Green Realty Corp. for the 4th Annual FDNY Foundation Climb to SUMMIT at One Vanderbilt in New York City on Sunday, April 19, 2026. Climbers will race up 1,100 feet in the sky to SUMMIT One Vanderbilt to highlight the importance of physical fitness for the brave FDNY firefighters, EMTs and paramedics who are always ready to respond at a moment’s notice. Funds raised will support training and fitness equipment for FDNY members.

In the last few years, firefighters had to run up 21 flights of stairs donning full bunker gear weighing upwards of 60 lbs in 70+ degree weather to rescue families trapped in a fire in a high-rise building as the elevators were inoperable. After such a strenuous climb, they then executed a lifesaving roof rope rescue on the outside of the building to save the occupants. Timing, training and physical fitness all played an integral part of the success of this life-saving incident.

One Vanderbilt anchors the modernization of Manhattan and shines like a beacon to the world with its iconic shape, setting a new standard for architecture in New York. Measuring 1,401 feet tall, One Vanderbilt is the tallest commercial skyscraper in midtown Manhattan and among the top 30 tallest buildings in the world. This momentous climb ends at SUMMIT One Vanderbilt located in the crown of the building. SUMMIT is New York’s newest and most immersive observatory experience offering a masterful blend of multisensorial art, technology, and thills amongst 360-views of the skyline.

Miles are better run together! Gather your team of up to 8 runners (friends, coworkers, neighbors, etc.) for a 26.2-mile relay challenge at the fastest track in the world. Refreshments, prizes, and a vibrant atmosphere with music and energy are guaranteed. Your race registration supports Armory College Prep and The Armory Foundation’s youth and athletic programs.
