The Bimbler's Bash 10K (ish) has been an annual event since 2007 that has become popular event for competitive runners and family groups. In terms of participation in a single distance, the Bash is the largest event of it's type in Connecticut. The course is an entirely off-road loop within Westwoods, Guilford made up from a series of interconnecting single track hiking trails. Participants should expect to negotiate lots of rocks, roots and possibly get your feet wet, plus with two rock scrambles be prepared for an adventure! This is a true trail race and the technical nature of the terrain will mean that you will be exposed to the risk of injury. While every reasonable effort will be made to ensure your safety and enjoyment, you must be prepared to accept full responsibility for these risks and sign the liability waiver on the application form as a condition of your entry.

Please note that registration to take part in this event is only be possible on-line. On-line registration shall be available until 8:50 AM on race day.

Race day check in shall begin at 7:15 am

Join us for the 4th Annual Petty Officer Jeet Patel Memorial 5K Race, a special event in memory of Petty Officer Jeet Patel, USNSCC. This race celebrates the life and service of a man who was deeply committed to his community and country. Jeet was actively involved with the Hamden Police Cadets and the Boy Scouts—organizations he was passionate about and would have loved to support.

All proceeds from the race will benefit these programs plus New Haven Marines & Hamden Police Department, providing vital resources for the next generation of leaders, first responders, and service members. By participating, you are helping to ensure that Jeet's legacy of service and dedication lives on in these incredible programs.

5 Mile certified course passes through many of Branford's scenic beaches, parks, and residential neighborhoods. Families can also enjoy the 2-Mile Health Walk and 1-Mile Mark Gilhuly Family Fun Run.

The event traditionally draws a crowd of over 5,000 runners, walkers, spectators, and volunteers. Participants enjoy t-shirts, refreshments, food, vendors, kids activities, and much more! The Branford Road Race is a great event for the whole family!

Please join us for the 5th Original East Shore 5k Run and 5k Walk on July 5th, 2026. This event is open to the public and all runners whether you are a seasoned runner or first time runner or walker.

Proceeds from the 2026 East Shore 5K will help benefit "Our Nations Promise" who are committed to the American heroes that gave the ultimate sacrifice and never returned home. Our Nations Promise pledges to seek answers for the families that deserve closure & A Promise to Remember ~ A Mission to Recover. Event Information:

There will be Division Metals for all age groups, Cash award for Top Male & Female Run- ners, 1st Place and 2nd Place. All participants that register for East Shore 5k will be eligible for free cash drawing (entry card received at event). There is also a Group/Team cash award for teams of 5 participants or more per team.

Course Information:

The East Shore 5K Run/Walk is a scenic Couse which runs alongside the New Haven water front offering beautiful views on a flat path making it enjoyable for seasoned and begin- ners participants.

Water stations long path are available for your hydration and to energize you through the race. The course is well marked and manned by volunteers to guide your run/walk smoothly. This course is perfect for all level runners.
