    Join us for a turtle derby themed 5K trail race at Hopkins Farm Brewery on Saturday April 11th, 2026 to raise funds for local wildlife conservation

    Race Goals

    • Raise funds for Susquehannock Wildlife Society's local wildlife conservation efforts

    • Raise awareness about turtle population declines and conservation efforts

    • Build community between local wildlife conservationists, athletes, and outdoor enthusiasts

    • Have fun running around Hopkins Farm Brewery. Turtle costumes encouraged!

    Packet Pickup

    • Friday April 10th, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Susquehannock Wildlife Conservation Center (1725 Trappe Church Rd, Darlington, MD)

    • Saturday April 11th, 2026, from 7:30 to 8:30 am at Hopkins Farm Brewery (3833 Rider Ln, Havre De Grace, MD)

    Race Details

    • Runners need to arrive at the start line at 9:00 am

    • Brief introduction to the race from 9:00 to 9:10 am

    • The race will start at 9:10 am

    • Turtley awesome after party 9:30-11:00 am

    • Beer available for purchase after 10 am

    • Award ceremony 10:30 am

    • The course will be a meandering 5K around the trails at Hopkins Farm Brewery

    Giveaways

    • Every participant will receive a wooden race medal

    • Add a race tee shirt for $5.00

    Awards and Prizes

    • Awards will be given to the top three males and females in each age group

    • Age groups: 10 and under, 11-18, 19-30, 30-50, 50 and over

    • Prizes given to the most realistic turtle costume, most original turtle costume, best overall turtle costume, best group turtle costume, and best family turtle costume

    • After you are done racing, join us for the turtley awesome after party

    Midway between Baltimore and Philadelphia, this race is staged out of beautiful Perryville Community Park in Perryville, Maryland which is truly a hidden gem, a diamond in the rough. Nestled on forested bluffs overlooking the top of the Chesapeake Bay this park makes for the epicenter of a great race. The swim takes place in the Chesapeake Bay and features an in water start off the dock. The Sprint bike course is a rolling out and back course while the Olympic bike course is technical with a mix of suburbia, rolling farm country and a fast, flat drag strip along River Road. The run course is mostly flat and winds its way along the Chesapeake Bay on sidewalks and back roads. This event is not to be missed and Cecil County is a great area to explore. Sailing, hiking, dining and more can be found minutes from the race site, you can learn more HERE.

    ****All athletes must stay in the park until the bike route is clear of incoming bikes. If you must leave prior to the bike course being clear you MUST park outside the park at the fire department lot, approximately 1.35 mile from the race site. If you park inside the park, all cars will be “locked in” until the police deem the roads safe to allow cars to exit. Our goal is a safe race for ALL athletes and we appreciate your cooperation in this matter.

    We are here once again to honor the long-standing tradition of running together on Thanksgiving morning. Sign up with your friends and family, near or far, for the Live or Virtual Bulle Rock 5K/1M

    Awards & Age Groups: Overall top 3 male and female, age groups 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29 thru 70+, 3 deep for men & women. Awards are for in-person runners only

    Registration is $30 per person through the month of October, and $35.00 per person starting on November 10.

    Virtual Racers: What is a virtual race? You choose your time and place to run or walk your 5K - any time on Wednesday, November 25 through Sunday, November 29. Get together with a friend or small group, pound it out on your treadmill, walk your neighborhood, or local park.

    The 5K will be professionally chip-timed by Blue Cheetah Sports Timing, LLC.

    Virtual Race results can be submitted any time starting Wednesday, November 25 through Sunday, November 29 . Race packets will be sent to all virtual participants - packet shipping is included in your Virtual Race Registration
