Join us for a turtle derby themed 5K trail race at Hopkins Farm Brewery on Saturday April 11th, 2026 to raise funds for local wildlife conservation
Race Goals

Raise funds for Susquehannock Wildlife Society's local wildlife conservation efforts

Raise awareness about turtle population declines and conservation efforts

Build community between local wildlife conservationists, athletes, and outdoor enthusiasts

Have fun running around Hopkins Farm Brewery. Turtle costumes encouraged!
Packet Pickup

Friday April 10th, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Susquehannock Wildlife Conservation Center (1725 Trappe Church Rd, Darlington, MD)

Saturday April 11th, 2026, from 7:30 to 8:30 am at Hopkins Farm Brewery (3833 Rider Ln, Havre De Grace, MD)
Race Details

Runners need to arrive at the start line at 9:00 am

Brief introduction to the race from 9:00 to 9:10 am

The race will start at 9:10 am

Turtley awesome after party 9:30-11:00 am

Beer available for purchase after 10 am

Award ceremony 10:30 am

The course will be a meandering 5K around the trails at Hopkins Farm Brewery

Every participant will receive a wooden race medal

Awards and Prizes

Awards will be given to the top three males and females in each age group

Age groups: 10 and under, 11-18, 19-30, 30-50, 50 and over

Prizes given to the most realistic turtle costume, most original turtle costume, best overall turtle costume, best group turtle costume, and best family turtle costume
After party

After you are done racing, join us for the turtley awesome after party
