Georgia Race for Autism presents to you our annual Georgia Race for Autism! Gwinnett County Fairgrounds, 2405 Sugarloaf Pkwy, Lawrenceville, GA 30045. Our event supports Spectrum Autism Support Group in providing camps and clubs for those impacted by autism in our community. The 5K begins at 8:00am on Saturday, October 3rd with race packet pick up starting at 6:30am. You can also beat the morning rush by picking up your race packet at the Fairgrounds on Friday, October 2nd from 1pm - 8pm.
The Currahee Challenge takes place from the base of Currahee Mountain on the Colonel Robert Sink Trail, the training site of the 501st, 506th, 511th and 517th Parachute Infantry Regiments seen in Band of Brothers, Saving Private Ryan & The Dirty Dozen. Come and join us for an excellent and challenging 5K run/walk or 10K hill run. PLEASE NOTE: the finish line will remain open until 11:30am.
Come out to Rock Creek Park in Dawsonville to help us raise money for domestic violence.
The Potter's House Community Development Center, Inc., and the Mount Moriah Church will host a 5K Run/Walk on October 4, 2025. Proceeds from the race will be used to serve families in need through the Potter’s House Community Development Center . The Potter’s House, a non-profit organization, is a community development center serving our local community by engaging in a broad range of strategies that promote health and wellness, aid in developing life skills, facilitate job training and meet the immediate hardship needs of the community.
All paces and ages are welcome to run or walk in this custom race through the picturesque community of Tucker. Come join other runners, walkers, and our run pacers on your journey to better health and promote Breast Cancer Awareness and Prostate Cancer Awareness. Remember “Whole Health Matters” (mind, body, and soul).
RACE DETAILS: Both the Start and Finish lines are located in the parking lot of the Mount Moriah Church located at 1983 Brockett Road, Tucker, Georgia. Free parking is located in the parking lot of the Mount Moriah Church. Warm-Up Time: 8:45 a.m., Start Time: 9:00 a.m.

Location: TVA Melton Hill Dam area, directions below. Race walk through Friday at 6 PM at race site. Arrive at site Saturday no than 7 AM EST for ample time for parking, packet pickup and getting ready for event starting promptly at 8 AM EST.

PARKING: Lower lots below dam - walk up hill to transition. No boat ramp access for racers. You can come to the Upper bath house lot to drop-off gear / bike but no parking. Parking is also available at the Overlook.

Note: Half Iron participants will have the option to upgrade to a Hoodie Sweatshirt during registration.
SWIM Course Map- START INFORMATION- The swim is a wave start from just outside the swim area at the dam end. The course will be a two loop rectangle finishing on the beach of the swim area. Swimmers will STAY IN WATER TO COMPLETE LOOP ONE. EXIT ONLY AT END OF SECOND LOOP. Keep buoys to your Right. Follow flagging to transition area. Water temp approx. 73.
Bike Courses will be modified from previous years, please stay tuned for a most amazing experience!
RUN Course Map-The Run course has been modified to stay around the dam. Runs will leave the campground/transition and to 58 then across the bridge and back down the other side of the dam to turnaround and head back. Half Iron will complete 2 loops.
Note for the Half Iron: we are instituting "cut off times" for the safety of participants, volunteers and support staff - limits noted are from the start of final starter: swim 1:15, bike 5:15 hours, run 1/2 way point 7:15 - finish line, music, etc. will be in place for all finishers - venue tear-down may begin depending on severe weather forecast, as in past years. Safety is our first priority.
Sprint/Olympic Triathlon info:
Choose either the Sprint Triathlon 500 meter Swim, 18.6 mile Bike, and 5k run or Olympic Triathlon 1500 meter swim, 40k Bike and 10k run.

Personal Best Racing has enabled event insurance for your consideration in the event you are unable to compete. Please review this option during the registration process.
All Personal Best Racing triathlon events are sanctioned by USA Triathlon. When a race sanctions with USAT, it is required for each participant to purchase either a one-day license or annual membership in order to participate in said event. A one-day USAT license is $15 and an annual USAT membership is $50. Either can be purchased when signing up for the event. A youth one day or annual USAT license is $10. The 50th Annual Apple Festival 5k and 1 mile race is a great way to start the Georgia Apple Festival presented by the Ellijay Lions Club. It is one of the longest running 5K events in Georgia.

Family Alliance of Paulding, Drug Free Paulding and Three Strands Vineyard and Winery will be hosting a 5K fundraiser for the Family Alliance of Paulding.
Early check in starts at 8:00am and the
race starts at 9:30am and will begin by running thru the vineyard!
Come walk or run with your four-legged friend* through a beautiful vineyard, surrounded by incredible scenery and covering diverse terrain the entire way. The course starts and finishes at the vineyard - so when the race ends, the fun is just getting started.
This will be a FULL DAY of FUN at Three Strands Vineyard and Winery. Kick your day off supporting a local non-profit and getting in that cardio followed by the Wags & Wine event where you can replenish those calories, kick back and relax in all the beauty of the winery.

The AthHalf packs all that Athens has to offer into exciting half marathon and 5K courses! The half marathon course includes a run through Athens’ historic districts, downtown, and the UGA campus, with local Athens bands performing live throughout the course. The 5K course explores downtown Athens and the Boulevard neighborhood with a live band at the start and finish line to help you celebrate your accomplishment. Athens residents come out in force to cheer on and entertain runners along the way, adding to the fun energy of these popular events.
The AthHalf is produced annually by the nonprofit organization, AthFest Educates, and race proceeds support our mission of funding high-quality music and arts education programming for local K – 12 youth. Georgia urgently needs a milk bank to provide safe, donor breastmilk for medically fragile infants who cannot receive milk from their own mothers—giving them vital nutrition and immune protection. Race proceeds will be made available to directly support the MedMilk Project: Building Georgia’s Milk Bank.
This event also raises awareness for World Breastfeeding Week, a global campaign to inform, support, and empower families on breastfeeding and related health issues. By participating, you help ensure Georgia families have the resources and support they need—and help bring Georgia’s first milk bank to life.

Competitive runners will have plenty to race for. Awards will be presented to the Top Three Male and Female Overall finishers in both the 5K and 13K, as well as the Top Three in Masters, Grand Masters, and Senior Masters Overall categories. In addition, the top three athletes in each of the traditional five-year age groups will receive awards in both race distances. For those taking on the Deadly Double, special recognition will be given to the Top Three Male and Female finishers who complete both races.
Whether you’re running for fun, fitness, or a frightfully good challenge, the Running Scared 5K & 13K is sure to be a hauntingly good time you won’t want to miss!

Event Courtesy & Refund Policy
Our events are designed to be fun for the entire family. With that in mind; any competitor, spectator, parent, volunteer, or sponsor, exhibiting unsportsmanlike
conduct or interfering with the positive, competitive atmosphere of the event will be immediately disqualified, asked to leave the venue and course immediately with no refunds.
All registrations are final. There are no refunds, deferments, or transfers.
Event will take place rain or shine. In the event of extreme weather, we will cancel for the safety of the participants...there are no refunds in this case.
Participants that do not show up to race/event forfeit their right to any swag.
No COVID-19 Refunds. If unforeseen circumstances arise due to COVID-19, including any Federal or State Health Emergency, refunds will not be provided. The event will go 100% Virtual & shirts will be shipped to participants.
