    Full and Half Marathon route in the famous Amicalola Falls State Park which boasts miles of trails, catering to various fitness levels and preferences. The park's trails meander through lush forests, alongside bubbling creeks, and offer stunning views of the 729-foot Amicalola Falls—the tallest cascading waterfall in Georgia .

    Course Description

    Two 13.1 mile loops make up the full marathon including the 605 steps of the Appalachian Approach Trail up the falls. Signs and flagging mark the entire course (3,200 feet of elevation gain/loss) for the Half Marathon and (6,400 feet of elevation gain/loss) for the Full Marathon course. The race starts at the top of the Falls and runs down the East Ridge Trail to the Mountain Laurel Trail which leads back to the Appalachian Approach Trail and then up the 605 steps to the top of the falls. From here runners will travel the Len Foote Trail north to the Hike Inn. Over to the Appalachian Approach Trail and back to the start finish.     Rules

    No cutting of the designed course. All flags must be punched to receive credit for the entire course. Details in pre-race email.Listen and follow all instructions from race staff / medical personnel during the race.Be courteous to other runners and day hikers.Crew access at the start/finish area only. No littering. Take in, take out.Trekking poles are allowed.The Race Director has the sole discretion of the administration of any violations of the race rules ranging from a time penalty, up to and including disqualification.No Pacers allowed in the event.

    Refund Policy

    We understand things happen. No refunds will be issued; however, you may transfer your entry to another racer in the same event without a penalty until 5 days before the event. You are responsible for finding a person interested in buying your entry as well as working out payment with them. Entries do not transfer to other events nor do they transfer year to year. If you would like to sell your entry to another racer, please contact [email protected] with the name and email of the person to whom you wish transfer your entry.

    Distances for the Dawson Pediatrics Peach Kid's Triathlon - Dawsonville will vary, depending on the age of participants:

    Junior 6 – 8, 50-yard swim, 1.5-mile bike (5 laps) and 500-yard run

    Intermediate 9 – 11, 100-yard swim, 3-mile bike (3 laps) and 1K run.

    Senior 12 – 14, 200-yard swim, 6-mile bike (2 laps) and 2K run.
