Shake off winter and charge into spring at the Eklutna Lake IceBreaker Run, a lakeside trail race that delivers all the beauty, and all the chaos, of Alaska in March. Set along the frozen shoreline of Eklutna Lake, this out-and-back adventure offers 10-mile and 20-mile courses on one of Chugach State Park’s most scenic corridors.
Runners will stride (or crunch, or slide) across the lakeside trail as it winds alongside the frozen water of Eklutna Lake. And since we all know March in Alaska refuses to pick a season, you can expect a full sampler of winter conditions: packed snow, punchy snow, ice sheets, mashed-potato mush, muddy patches, unexpected sunshine, maybe even that perfect “winter glow” light that makes you forget your toes are cold for exactly half a second. Whatever the weather, this race is sure to breathe some life back into you after another long Alaska winter.

The Arctic Bicycle Club is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting bicycling safety, education, and competition. Originally founded in Anchorage in the 1970s as a road cycling club, the Arctic Bicycle Club now offers a Road Racing Division, a Mountain Racing Division, and a Cyclocross Racing Division.
About Arctic Road:
The Arctic Bicycle Club's Road Division offers a range of racing options, from individual time trials to pack based road races, hill climbs, criteriums, gravel and mixed surface events. Don’t let the spandex, aero gear and cyber mods scare you; technological enhancements are the wave of the future! Plus we have a category for every racer, whatever your experience, fitness, or equipment. Our racing community welcomes everyone, even cyborgs and ETs. Just don’t show up with a motor in your bike or top caps on your valves.
About Arctic MTB:
The mountain bike division organizes a variety of competitive events across Anchorage’s extensive trail system. MTB also offers a range of racer categories to match ability level, experience, and current fitness. From Juniors to Masters, Intermediate to Open, we’ve got everyone covered. Stuck in a single gear? We offer single speed as well. So come race with us! You’re guaranteed to have a blast.
About Arctic Cross:
Cyclocross racing is family friendly, and attracts a wide range of participants, young and old, serious and not so serious. Since the courses are relatively short, they are spectator friendly, and participants often come for their own race, and stay to cheer on the other races. We have mountain bikers, road bikers, snow bikers, commuters, cyclists who consider themselves competitive and cyclists who consider themselves non-competitive, all participating.

The AB Korkor Foundation is officially retiring the Five Fifty Fifty Run/Walk for Mental Health, a bold and inspiring initiative that began as 50 run/walks in 50 days across all 50 states. During the first two years of the event, the Foundation’s founder, Adel B. Korkor, personally ran in every one of the 50 events over 50 consecutive days, embodying the dedication, resilience, and urgency behind the Foundation’s mental health mission.
As the Five Fifty Fifty chapter comes to a close, the Foundation is excited to introduce its next evolution: the Steps For Strong Minds 5K Run/Walk, a family-focused mental health event designed to be more accessible, community-centered, and welcoming to participants of all ages and abilities—continuing the movement forward, one step at a time.
The Strong Minds Sprint is an exciting new 40-yard dash designed especially for kids ages 10 and under. This high-energy event encourages children to stay active while reinforcing the important connection between physical movement and mental well-being. Through fun, friendly competition, young participants build confidence, resilience, and healthy habits that support strong minds and strong bodies. We are thrilled to introduce this new addition and can’t wait to see our youngest runners take off toward a brighter, healthier future.
Join our movement and make mental health a priority in YOUR community! We encourage families to run/walk together and to make that easy, kids 13 and under participate for free. Please note that all participants must register, regardless of age, and youth must be accompanied by an adult.
Proceeds from this event directly support programs that promote mental health awareness and encourage physical activity for kids in your community, helping them build resilience, confidence, and healthy habits that last a lifetime.

Eagle River Triathlon is the 2026 USA Triathlon Alaska State Championship.
The Eagle River Triathlon has a stunning course in Chugiak, Alaska just 20 miles north of Anchorage. Known for its spectacular views, and fun, yet challenging bike course, the Eagle River Tri course is a favorite among racers in Alaska. The State Championship events are the Olympic and Sprint distance triathlons. The duathlon, team relay, and kids' race are alternative race options that do not fall under the banner of state championship.
Olympic Distance Triathlon: In the famous words of a baked goods band; are you going the distance, going for speed, while you're racing and pacing, we are plotting the course! The swim is a split lane 1500M (33laps) in the Chugiak High School pool. The bike course is a 40K (24.8 miles) double out and back roller coaster with all the ups, downs, and fun turns to keep you on your toes! The majestic 10k (6.2 miles) run is sandwiched between the scenic mountain side of the Chugach range and the concrete jungle of the Glenn hwy. You can treat the random honks from the high-speed peanut gallery as moral support as you push every last drop of energy on your way to the finish line.
Sprint Distance Triathlon: The swim will be a split lane 500yd (10laps) in the Chugiak High School pool. The bike course is a 20K (12.4 miles) roller coaster with all the ups, downs, and fun turns to keep things exciting! The majestic 5k (3.1 miles) run is sandwiched between the scenic mountain side of the Chugach range and the concrete jungle of the Glenn hwy. The Sprint Triathlon the High School State Championship for any racers enrolled in high school or with in the 6-month post H.S.
Sprint & Olympic Distance Relay Teams: Grab a friend, slap into a Slim-jim and tag team this event like it's going out of style. Teams of 2 - 3 racers who truly believe sharing is caring is the name of the game. Same distances as the individual events just you don't have to do it all by yourself...yay for friends.
Sprint Duathlon: For those that think water is for the fishes! To get this party started we have a one-mile trail run on the Beach Lake ski trails. The bike course is a 20K (12.4 miles) roller coaster with all the ups, downs, and fun turns to show off your bike handling skills! The majestic 5k (3.1 miles) run is sandwiched between the scenic mountain side of the Chugach range and the concrete jungle of the Glenn hwy.
Kids Race: Nothing makes us happier than seeing the next generation of triathletes out giving it their all. We are giving the kids their very own day. Thanks to Turnagain Training and the support of our generous sponsors to give these kiddos the event they deserve.
New this year! Two Distances:
-
Long Course 300 yard swim (6 laps) / 2-mile bike (4laps) / ~ 1.2 mile run (2 laps)
-
Short Course 50 yard swim (1 lap) / 1 mile bike (2laps) / ~.6 mile run (1 lap)
Donate:
A.B.A.T.E. of Anchorage - Alaska Bikers Advocating Training and Education is a non-profit organization that provides educational and training tools to the Alaska motorcycle community. They also support numerous events and causes throughout the year!
A.B.A.T.E. supports the Eagle River Triathlon by providing all volunteers and motorcycle support on the bike course. They donate their time, fuel, and energy to ensure we have a safe and fun bike course. There is nothing better on the course than the crew from A.B.A.T.E (okay, maybe the hills too!).
Each year, Eagle River Tri makes a cash donation to A.B.A.T.E. to support their Christmas in July Toy Drive. We are reaching out to the ERT racers for additional support for their toy drive. Your donation, no matter the amount, will help support their efforts in delivering hundreds of toys to children in Anchorage-area hospitals..

Turnagain Training kids triathlon camps is geared towards kids having fun while participating in biking, swimming and running through out the week. Camp goes Monday through Friday 12-4pm daily. On Monday/Wednesday/Friday, campers will meet in the lower stadium parking lot of Kincaid Park. On Tuesday/Thursday we will be at Service High to accommodate swimming, playing games and sneak in some fun running activities. Camp is focused on biking skills (shifting, cornering, biking up hills successfully, etc.), running games and activities, swimming instruction & pool games, transition practice & tons more fun games! We will have a 30minute snack time, allowing kids to have some down time (kids bring their own snacks and water), where we talk about different topics within triathlon like what to pack for a race, how to get to the Olympics or what the top 10 things you would want if you were a triathlete. This camp is geared towards kids that love biking, running and swimming but haven't yet put it
all together. It is OK if your child does not know how to swim, we will have life jackets available and life guards if we have swimming sessions. Swimming will be optional if we bike to a lake, with other activity options for kids not comfortable with swimming. All kids must be able to ride a bike confidently and enjoy biking and running, we look forward to helping kids gain better skills but kids must have the desire to want to get better. Ideally, kids would have bikes with gears to learn how to shift. This camp is not meant for a 6yr that is still on training wheels, but we plan to have a few new-to-biking 101 clinics this year for little ones looking to transition to biking on their own!
What's included in triathlon camp:
-1wk of triathlon camp that is fun, outdoors and lead by passionate triathletes
-Turnagain Training triathlete in training synthetic bike jersey
- Triathlete swag bag
-Mini duathlon race on Friday
-Ice cream on Friday after the race!
Campers need to have the basic fundamentals of biking without training wheels. Ideally, your child would have a bike with gears too so they can practice shifting and are able to successfully make it up a hill. IF you don't have a bike with gears, ask a friend or neighbor if you can borrow their bike for the week, kids learn FAST how to ride on another persons bike. All of our running is short, geared to fun, creative ways so that the kids do not realize they're running long, think scavenger hunt, checklists, etc. Lastly, we do A LOT of transition practice so that kids are able to put their shoes and socks on on their own come race day without a parents help (YES, THEY CAN!!).
WE HAVE A 50% REFUND POLICY UNTIL 4/15/2025. AFTER 4/15/2025, THERE IS NO REFUNDS FOR THIS CAMP, NO EXCEPTIONS. WE DO NOT ALLOW CAMPERS TO SWAP OUT THEIR REGISTRATION WITH ANOTHER CAMPER IF THEY ARE UNABLE TO MAKE IT, PER OUR USA TRIATHLON INSURANCE. BY SIGNING THE AGREEMENT POLICY YOU AGREE TO UNDERSTAND THIS RULE.

If you’ve done a traditional 5K, you know they can be a bit lackluster. But the BUBBLE RUN™ is like running through Willy Wonkas’ factory. Clad in white t-shirts, adults, kids and strollers run, walk, dance and play across up to 3 miles of absolute fun! Waves start every 3-5 minutes. Participants will run through the Foam Bogs where there is enough colored foam to cover you from head to toe!
Bubble-teers will also be there to help make sure you get your share of the frothy goodness. Each one of the Foam Bogs is represented by different colored foam. So what if you should accidentally “taste the whimsey?” They don’t taste as great as they are fun, but not to worry. The foam is 100% safe.
Event details and schedule
Please plan on arriving 30-45 minutes prior to your wave start to give yourself plenty of time to park, get your Bubble RUN™ swag, check in if needed, and to get situated.
Please be prompt for your Heat.
Once your heat has started, (the heat is the time you registered for) small waves will be released every 60-90 seconds. Your physical start time is based on a first come-first serve basis, so naturally you will start earlier if you enter the start chute earlier. The last wave within your heat will go out 30 minutes after your scheduled heat (i.e., if your registered heat is for 8AM, the last wave in your heat will leave at 8:30AM).
Bring some extra cash for parking and SWAG!
After you park, bring some extra cash! You'll want to check out our super sweet Bubble RUN store for t-shirts, tutus, and more!
There may be a parking charge of up to $20 for the event that is handled by the venue. With THOUSANDS of smiles present on race day, please have exact change and please don't cut your time too short before the race starts. Cram as many bubblers (legally) into your car to save some cash money money!
