The Big Rub is a Missouri Gravel Bike Event on July 11th 2026 in Sedalia MO. The Categories are 100K Race, 50K Race and 25K Fun Ride. The races will start and finish at the Katy Depot, 600 E 3rd St, Sedalia, MO 65301.
You can register in person Friday July 10 5 PM to 8 PM at the Katy Depot, 600 E 3rd St, Sedalia, MO 65301. Preregistration before 5/31/2026 is required if you would like to get the event T-Shirt. You will need to be checked in before race time to get your number/timing chip and t-shirt.

EVENT DETAILS
We have a route for everyone and every bicycle! Mountain bikes, e-bikes, road bikes, that rusty bike in your garage, all bikes are welcome! Routes are detailed below. This is a recreational event and is not timed.
Choose between long route (24 miles) and short route (12 miles) routes.
The Tour de Quincy is a poker run, which has (5) stops at local bars/restaurants. At event day registration, each participant will receive a Poker Run ticket, which they will present at each bar. The bar staff will stamp your ticket. Bring your stamped ticket back to The Dock for the final 5th stamp. If you have 5 stamps on your ticket, you will receive your 5 poker cards at The Dock! The participants with the highest poker hands will win a prize!! Prizes will be announced at 2:00 PM at The Dock. Participants must be present to win. Participants using motorcycles or personal vehicles should only travel on roads (not the Bill Klingner Trail) to get to the (5) destinations. This route is on a paved surface (no gravel).
A family friendly route on 7 paved miles of the Bill Klingner Trail. You'll get to experience wonderful trails that the Friends of the Trails have worked so hard to develop. Being on a dedicated bicycle lane or bike path, this route avoids vehicle traffic and is great for kids, inexperienced riders, and the whole family! This route is on a paved surface (no gravel). Optional mountain bike spurs include Nature Trails East, All America Mountain Bike Park, and the Gardner Park nature trails.
EVENT MERCHANDISE
All participants will receive a t-shirt. Register online prior to June 10 to guarantee your size. Event day registration will receive shirts on a first come, first serve basis. All gear will be picked up by participants at The Dock on event day (no advance race packet picket). Merchandise will also be for sale on the day of the event.
FOOD
The Quincy Rotary group will be grilling and serving FREE food from 10:45 AM to 2:00 PM. Food is available to all participants AND spectators for a free will donation!

All event start & finish lines, food, merchandise sales, and the band will be located at The Dock - 1021 Bonansinga Dr, Quincy, IL 62301, (217) 223-9748. There is plenty of parking at The Dock and neighboring Kesler Park - which makes it convenient to transfer your bike to/from your vehicle!

The 2026 Terry Anastas Tour de Quincy is a FUNdraising recreational bike ride! Welcome to the 2026 Farmhouse Classic! A gravel event presented by Cycle City.
This event is a fundraiser for the Parkhill Bison Composite NICA team. These funds will help our team continue to grow, allowing us to purchase necessary equipment and supplies to keep our growing team of student athletes riding and racing bikes.
The event will start and finish at the John W. Burns Memorial Park in Lathrop, MO.
Each route will feature at least one aid station, stocked with fluids and snacks to keep you going. We will have lunch and drinks after you finish, so we can all hang out and share stories from the day.
Final route details will be shared in the first week of July. Expect lots of great views, plenty of elevation, and minimal pavement.
.5K. almost 1/3 mile. 1,640 feet. It's a race for everyone, with a fun foam finish!
You'll run, walk, skip, cartwheel, hop, etc just one-half of a kilometer, knowing that 100% of your entry fee will be used to build beds for children in our community with Sleep in Heavenly Peace. Stick around after the race to get a banana and a medal, and to play in the foam!
Summer Scramble 5K/10K

The Matt Mason “Cowboy UP!” Triathlon/Duathlon has been established to honor, pay tribute, support and celebrate the lives of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. This triathlon is our way to stay close to our dear friend, Matt Mason, and keep his memory alive while focusing on supporting others like him and their families.
Race Distances:
Short Course Distance Duathlon is a 1.5 mile run (shotgun start), 11 mile bike course (2 laps), and a 5K run (mostly flat, out and back course).
Short Course Distance Triathlon is a 500 meter swim (time trial start), 11 mile bike course (2 laps), and a 5K run (mostly flat, out and back course).
Long Course Distance Triathlon is a 1,000 meter swim (time trial start), 18.8 mile bike course (4 laps), and a 10K run (mostly flat, out and back course).

Transition:
Transition opens at 5:15am. All athletes will be body marked. Volunteers will be outside the transition entrance ready to help all athletes as they enter.
Swim Start:
Swim warmup opens at 6:15am. Transition closes at 6:45am and all athletes need to exit the area by that time. Race begins at 7am and long course athletes will enter the water first, followed by short course athletes. The swim course is clockwise, and the start will be a time trial start where athletes enter the water approximately every three seconds. You will see minute marker signs for both short and long course – athletes should place themselves in line according to the swim time that is most comfortable.
Duathlon Start:
Duathlon will shotgun start on the run path to the right of the beach away from the finish line at the same time the short course triathlon swim starts.
Bike Course:
Please keep in mind that there is an incline as you exit transition – please set your bike gears accordingly. After you exit transition, it is approximately 1.6 miles to exit the park and reach Highway E. At this point, you will need to count your loops around the course. Short Course will do 2 loops and Long Course will do 4 loops. There will be a timing box on the bike course for accuracy. A bike course map will be included in your packet.
Aid Stations:
There will be water stations along the run course. Short course athletes will pass 2 water stations and Long course athletes will pass 5 water stations.
Awards:
Age group and overall awards will be given for Men and Women for both the Short Course and Long Course Triathlon and Duathlon. The awards ceremony will be held near the finish line after the race.

Spirit Trail Trailhead – Knob Noster, Missouri
Join us for the Spirit Trail Classic, a scenic summer race along the beautiful Spirit Trail in Knob Noster, Missouri. This paved trail winds through peaceful countryside and wooded sections, offering a smooth and enjoyable course for runners and walkers of all levels.
Participants can choose from four distances: 5K, 10K, 15K, or 20K, all following a clearly marked out-and-back course starting and finishing at the Spirit Trail Trailhead near Knob Noster Campgrounds.
Every participant will receive a finisher medal, no matter the distance. Whether you're chasing a new PR or just looking to enjoy a great morning on the trail, the Spirit Trail Classic offers a fun and welcoming race experience.
