About the Event
Kicking PancreAS 2026 is a fun, inclusive 5K for all levels and abilities—whether you choose to walk or run, set a personal goal and take it at your own pace.
Returning to Prince Edward Island, we’re building on an incredible 2025, where we saw 100 participants and over $7,000.00 in donations. This year, we’re aiming even higher! Our goals are:

Project Lifesaver is a registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to assisting and responding to the critical needs of caregivers - and sometimes emergency response individuals - in finding wandering or bolting loved ones who may suffer from Alzheimer or other dementia disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Down's Syndrome and others.

Join us Monday evening on June 29th for a FREE K*OS Learn To Tri Clinic.
5:00 pm: 7 and under
6:00 pm: 8 and up
Please arrive 10-15 mins prior. All participants must be accompanied by an adult.
Clinic Details:
This K*OS triathlon clinic is a great opportunity for young triathletes to feel confident and prepared for race day! Participants will learn how to set up their transition area, organize their gear, and navigate the course. The clinic will be led by Nancy Ripley, a seasoned triathlete, along with Triathlon PEI Summer Students who will help guide participants through each stage of the event, answer any questions, and provide helpful tips for race day!
Please bring a bag containing:
Running shoes, socks, water bottle, helmet, t-shirt, and towel. No swim gear or bike is required.

FREE YOUTH TRIATHLON CLINIC MONDAY JUNE 29TH AT 5 PM (UNDER 7) AND 6 PM (8+) AT VICTORIA PARK Register here!
There is a maximum of 60 spots so be sure to sign up early! :)
There will be no event day registration. Please ensure to register your children before 5pm on June 30th!
Swim: Pool
Bike: A fast, flat paved CLOSED bike route paralleling the Charlottetown boardwalk.
Run: CLOSED road parallel to bike route
Check in: Begins at 7:15 and continues to 7:50. Kids will get their markings and bibs. Bikes and gear will be brought into the transition zone.
Start time: 8:00am with kids in the first wave meeting on the pool deck to go over the course. We will do a little intro clinic for the kids before the race.
Important Information:
All participants must be members of Triathlon PEI, Triathlon NS, Triathlon NB or Triathlon NL. Purchase an Annual membership at https://www.tripei.ca/membership
Please note: As per 2026 Triathlon Canada rules, during the event family members will NOT be permitted in the transition zone or on the race course (you can't run beside your child!). There will be Triathlon PEI volunteers available to help the kids!
Distances for Age Groups
4-5: 25m (1 length) swim, 500m bike, 100m run
6-7: 50m (2 lengths) swim, 1km bike, 400m run
8-9: 100m (4 lengths) swim, 2km bike, 800m run
10-12: 200m (8 lengths) swim, 5km bike, 1km run
Family Discount

This event is open to the general public, with discounted rates for Holland College students, alumni, staff and faculty! Any proceeds will be used towards supporting on-campus student food security initiatives and our Holland Hurricanes sports teams.

The 22nd annual Prince Edward Island Marathon, supporting the Canadian Mental Health Association – PEI Division, will take place October 16th – 18th, 2026. The route for the Full Marathon takes runners through the city of Charlottetown and is a certified Boston Qualifier.
PEI Marathon weekend is a two-day event that includes categories for all fitness levels. Saturday, October 17th features the 10K Run/Walk, 5K Run/Walk, 2K Wheelchair, and the Free Kids Fox Trot. Sunday, October 18th includes the Full Marathon, Team Relay, Half Marathon Run/Walk, and 16K Run/Walk.
There is something for the entire family in a weekend you will never forget!
