On September 12, 2026, bring your wild side to the Toronto Zoo for a day of family fun! With a 10K, 5K, and CubRun, there's an event for everyone to enjoy, either in-person or virtually. With free admission to the Zoo included with registration, participants can stay at the Zoo and visit their favourite animals post-race!
With a fundraising goal of $110,000, every dollar raised will directly support your Toronto Zoo’s Blanding’s Turtle Headstart Program as well as the new home of the program located within the Community Conservation Centre. This dedicated space will serve as the hub for incubation, and care, while also giving guests the opportunity to see hatchlings and learn firsthand about the importance of conservation programs at your Toronto Zoo.

Officially Sanctioned Race
On Saturday, October 3rd, our Executive Director, Ross Ste-Croix will be running the equivalent of a half marathon, starting at Butternut Manor and ending at Frances Di Carlo House, stopping at all 7 PHM group homes and community locations along the way. We'd love to have you run, walk, or roll alongside him in either the half-marathon or the 6k loop option. Pledge your support, or sign up to run, walk, or roll with him, today to raise funds for Participation House Markham, a Markham-based charity that has been providing assisted living supports to adults with complex disabilities for over 50 years.

The Course
NOTE: DUE TO CONSTRUCTION ON THE TRAIL THE RACE WILL NOT RUN EAST TOWARDS ROUGE BEACH.
The run starts at the Port Union Waterfront Park and heads west along the Waterfront Trail, crosses the Waterfront Trail Bridge, then turns north to follow the Highland Creek trail. At 2.5k the course turns around and returns back to start line at Port Union Waterfront Park. The 10k run will turn around at the start and do another lap back west and north along the trail, then return to the start.
Water Stations
There will be two water stations on the course, on at the start/finish, and one at the 2.5km turn around. The 10k runners will go through both water stations twice.
Parking
The is free parking at the Rouge Hill GO station's west parking lot at the foot of Port Union Road. From there it is a short walk to the start line at Port Union Waterfront Park.
Washrooms
There are washrooms in the Port Union Village Commons Park,
Prizes
Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female participants from each age category in each event. At least 18 prizes will be available. Depending on participation, there may also be prizes for special participants (e.g. para or special athletes).
Every participant who provides an e-mail address will be sent a personalized certificate showing their standing (for the top 3 positions) or participation within their event, gender and age group.

– supporting children, teens, adults and seniors in our community who are in need of assistance by eliminating financial barriers.
The Turkey Trot invites everyone to join in the fun! There are many ways to participate and show your Turkey Spirit. If you’re interested in taking part but face any barriers, please reach out to us to discuss accommodations. We’re here to help ensure everyone can be included in the event.

9:45 Wing Ding 1K Kids Fun Run – This is a space where kids and those that are kids at heart can participate in an event of their own. This is a fun untimed event. Finisher medals and a small surprise for all participants. Adults can support on the course (no need for supporters to register if they are in a supporting role).
10:10 The Gobbler 5K Run and 2.5K Run/ Walk – Timed event.
The course is a fun urban green space setting with uneven ground and some rolling hills.
The 5K course is a double loop of the 2.5K course.
A special surprise for 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd male and female. Categories: 18 and under & 19 plus.
11:20 Awards – Top finishers recognized. Golden Drumstick Award (best turkey spirit), Draw prizes.

THE COURSE
Participants will start at the YMCA and then enjoy running or walking in the Cobourg Conservation Area.
Participants will get a chance to experience a great urban green space in the heart of our community. The course is a fun urban green space setting with uneven ground and small rolling hills. The majority of the course will be grass.

Bibs will be assigned at the event.
COSTUMES
Add some extra fun by showing off your inner turkey and dressing up in costume or by wearing some festive additions to your race gear. Hey you might want to test drive your Halloween costume at the race.
The Golden Drumstick Award will be given out for best costume/ turkey spirit.

Family registration must be done in the same transaction, and you MUST select add another participant. You will be asked for each sub-event in the registration questions. You will then use the CODE at the very end of registering everyone.

Dogs are not permitted on the course during the running events, but leashed dogs are always welcome to join the party in the start/finish area.
Strollers are asked to stay off the course during the running events. The 2.5K Run/Walk would work well for carrying wee ones in a backpack or sling style carrier.
Join us at Long Sault Conservation Area for a fun, scenic, community trail race that has a distance for everyone!
Distance options include 7K, 14K, 21K or as many loops as possible in 6 hours! This course is run on two 7K all trail loops-7K participants will complete one loop, 14K will enjoy the full course with 2 different trail loops, 21K will run each of the 2 loops as well, plus one more! The 6 hour runners will keep it fresh by alternating between the two different 7K trail loops.
Race start times are staggered and event distances are capped this year to accommodate the limited parking on site, this worked really well in 2025. Please car pool and arrive no earlier than 1 hour before your start time to register. Parking is $7/vehicle. Every participant will receive swag (TBD)! Kids Fun Run is sponsored by North Oshawa Dairy Queen, providing an ice cream voucher to every participant. Prizes will be awarded in each distance for first, second and masters runners-subject to registration numbers.
Cotton hoodies are available for sale again at the checkout and a limited number will be available at the event for purchase. Perfect for warming up after a fall trail run! All proceeds from hoodie purchases will be donated to CLOCA. They've gone above and beyond in supporting our event!!!
We will be serving lemon/lime Skratch and have water at the Aid Station as well as typical snacks you may find for the participants running the 21K and 6HR event. This event has one Aid Station at the Start/Finish line. Participants must have the ability to carry what they need to run 7K before returning to the Aid Station.
Runners in the 6 hour event must complete it in the six hour time frame. If going into your last loop, you are not able to complete it in the six hour time frame, you will not be able to start that loop.

All participants must be off the course by 3:30PM (3PM for the 6HR event).
No dogs are permitted at the event. Parent/Guardian must run with their child in the Kids 2K Fun Run.
Expenses for the event are paid in advance of race day. No refunds or deferrals will be issued. You may transfer your bib or change your distance up to 3 days before race day. Distance changes after then must be done on race day. Please purchase Enhanced Refund Protection through Race Roster if needed.

We look forward to welcoming competitive and recreational runners and walkers alike for our 5th annual Stouffville Main Street 5K and Kids 1K Dash benefitting the Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation.
7:30 am - Runners Village Opens
8:00 am - Opening Remarks
8:30 am - Main Street 5K Starts *
10:00 am - Kids 1K Dash Starts
*The Main Street 5K will start in waves. During registration you will be asked to select your start group (i.e. you're anticipated 5K completion time from the list below).
Note: Event Timing is activated only when each participant crosses the Start/Finish line).
🔴 Red: less than 25:00 minutes
🟡 Yellow: 25:01-30:00 minutes
🔵 Blue: 30:01-35:00 minutes
🟢 Green: 35:01-45:00 minutes
🟣 Purple: 45:01+ minutes
All runners with strollers are asked to line up at the back of their selected wave. If you plan to walk the 5K, please ensure you are in the Purple wave.
Please no bicycles, rollerblades or scooters. Leashed and well-behaved dogs are welcome in the runner's village only, but not permitted on the course.
FUNDRAISING
While fundraising is not mandatory, it is certainly encouraged. The suggested fundraising minimum is $100.00 per adult and $50.00 per child. While your registration fee for the event helps to cover the various event costs, any fundraising dollars go directly to the Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation. Donations over $20.00 will receive a charitable tax receipt from the Foundation.
