Run our River 2026: SECOND Tuesday!

Description: Join us on the SECOND Tuesday of every month for a 5K race along the river. The course will remain the same throughout the summer so you'll get the chance to compare your progress throughout the year. Keep in mind the River Path is a PUBLIC path, so there will be other runners, walkers and bikers on the path, please be aware of your surroundings, headphones are discouraged

People of all speeds and abilities are welcome and encouraged. Sign up for 1 race or the entire series of 6 races!

WHAT YOU GET: Officially timed race, live results, series leaderboard, a chance for prizes for each race. Each month you run you are entered into the series race page to see how your time stacks up throughout the entire series.

You must complete 4 of the 6 races to be eligible to win overall series awards! (Age Group and Series) Each race will have a small give-away (expect a nutrition item or small running related knick-knack)

Vibe: Low frills, everyone encouraging each other to do their best. Fast times, slow times... lets make some memories!

Tuesday DAY OF RACE: 12- 3:30 at Rochester Running Company (hard cut off at 4PM) and 5:30 - 6:15 PM at the course

Cost: $25.00each race or $110 for the series

(Kids/Young adults under 18 years of age are $11.00)

From the Running Store that brought you Run our River Series, comes a new Series... Run our Trail! That's right we are back again, this time running our trails. Run our Trails will be the the LAST Tuesday of every month (April - September) We will be reserving the Hopkins Point Lodge in Mendon Ponds Park for restroom access. The plan is to run the various trails around Mendon Ponds Park, each month will be a different trail with a slightly different distance as well.

Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Running Programs are offered for this 7-week series. All aspects of running and training covered. Runners should come prepared to run, rain or shine. Participants are encouraged to sign up online. At least two weeks of walking and/or running is recommended prior to attending - so get going NOW! Signup today.

• Meet at Nazareth University track the Thursday the first week (for 2026 only) and each Wednesday after that

• Clinics begin at 6:00 pm for didactic sessions.

SUPPORTING HOSPICE CARE FOR THE LONG RUN!

Now in its twenty-fourth year, the Sunset House 5K Run and Fitness Walk has traditionally had something for everyone: a fast, challenging, 3.1 mile

course, plenty of food, refreshments and prizes—all within a fun and friendly family atmosphere. This year the event will be held LIVE on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at the Irondequoit United Church of Christ located at 644 Titus Avenue, Irondequoit, NY. For those of you who are unable to join us on race day, a VIRTUAL option is planned from Friday, May 1st, through Saturday, May 23, 2026.

All proceeds from the race go to Sunset House which provides alternative living arrangements for residents who are unable to receive hospice care services in their own homes. Focusing on quality of life rather than quantity of time, Sunset House supports the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of its residents, allowing them to maintain control during an important time of transition. As one of our community’s most popular and seasoned fundraising event of the year we need your help in meeting our fundraising goal of $35,000 to ensure that Sunset House Hospice continues to provide the dying and their loved ones with support, comfort, and care in a safe, peaceful and loving environment that allows death with dignity and grace. So whether you’re a runner, walker—or somewhere in between— please join us for the LIVE Race or participate VIRTUALLY -- and put your best foot forward for a great organization. In-person participants are invited to join us at Monroe Community College Saturday, May 9th.

REGISTER BY MONDAY, APRIL 13TH to be guaranteed a t-shirt!

5k Run: 9:30 am. Walk: 9:45 am. (Option: 3.1 or 2 mile shortcut!). Crowd warm up starts at 9AM led by VAULT.

CHILDREN 5 and Under are FREE and do not need to be registered! (Humans only. Sorry, no pets!)

There will be NO event day registration for this event, so please plan accordingly.

ATTENTION In-Person Participants! Take part in our Costume Contest! Prizes will be given out for BEST INDIVIDUAL and BEST TEAM Costume(s)! Grab your boas, tutus, etc. and join the FUN!

Any runner registering between May 6th-8th will have to wait 24 hours after registering to receive their chipped bib.

Virtual participants may complete their event anytime between 5pm on Friday, May 8th and midnight on Sunday, May 10th.

VIRTUAL 5k Run participants' times will not be considered for their specific age brackets as we are unable to corroborate time and distance. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and will gladly switch your registration to the in-person 5k by request.

*The winner of each of the following Age Groups will receive a small token and "Bragging Rights": 5-15 years, 16 - 25 years, 26 - 35 years, 36 - 45 years, 46 - 55 years, 56 - 65 years, 65+.

NOTE: The Overall Winner takes the place of the 1st person in their age group. Age Groups are subject to change based on registration numbers.
