The Lytle Park Tri returns on the Fourth of July with newly re-mapped courses and the addition of a standalone 5K, making this the biggest and most flexible version of the event to date.
The Sprint
Triathlon features an outdoor pool swim, eliminating open-water guesswork and making this an ideal first triathlon while still delivering a competitive race for seasoned athletes. The updated bike and run courses are designed to be straightforward and efficient, allowing racers to focus on performance, not navigation.
Alongside the Sprint Triathlon, the new 5K Run gives runners a chance to be part of race day without committing to all three disciplines. Sprint Triathlon relay teams are also available, making this a great option for friends, families, or coworkers who want to race together.
Kick off your Independence Day by racing in the morning and celebrating the rest of the day. Whether you’re chasing a podium, completing your first triathlon, or starting July 4 with a fast 5K, the Lytle Park Tri is a strong, no-nonsense way to celebrate.

Be part of Indiana’s ONLY Gravel Triathlon! Offering beginner-friendly distances and terrain, this course mixes the elements of a sprint triathlon, gravel cycling, and trail running! The gravel ride is relatively flat with very gentle hills. The trail run is moderate, with mostly stable surface and a few short ups and downs.
Most of the route is wide enough for easy passing.
For those that don’t want to swim, enter the duathlon or the kayak triathlon!
10K Trail Run
o All finishers in a bonus race will receive at least 1 bonus point.
o A finish in the top 10% of men or women earns 10 points.
o A finish in the 80% to 90% of men or women's rankings earns 9 points.
o The distribution continues so that the bottom 10% of men and women finishers each earn 1 bonus point.

Griffin Bike Park is a purpose-built facility catering to mountain bikers! The facility includes a full spectrum of mountain bike feature. It includes everything
from easy XC style riding, pump tracks, jump lines, technical structures, and a dual slalom course.
The DINO Series race course is a 6-mile loop that contains a mix of wider, faster trail with ample passing room, with sections of moderately challenging singletrack. The singletrack sections have numerous quick ups and downs, rewarding handling skills and power.

5K Your Way is a 3.1 mile race.
The participant has an option of either running/walking the asphalt trail system or the dirt trail system. All participants will start at a common point and split off
onto their chosen course then merge together again at the finish. On the asphalt course there is approximately 200 yards of gravel (part of it uphill) which could be difficult with strollers.
We are dog lovers, but please be respectful to participants that may not feel the same by leaving your pet friends at home during the race.
The dirt trail conditions can be affected by weather. In the case that the dirt trails cannot be used all participants will use the asphalt trails.
All proceeds for the race will go to the NOW [Nutrition on Weekends] program (all 4 Crawford County Programs). This program provides meals to at risk children when the school system is not available such as weekends and during the summer.
Prizes for Top Male and Female Dirt Trail Winners, and Top Male and Female Asphalt Trail Winners.
Medals for 1st place in each age group.
