This festive event features a timed 5K Hustle for avid runners or festive walkers and a 1K Jingle Dash for kids — plus a dog-friendly option for those who want to bring their four-legged companions (additional fee applies, costumes encouraged!). Everyone also gets to meet the "Jolly Ole Elf" himself as Santa will be there to cheer everyone on! All proceeds from the Jingle Bell Hustle/Dash benefit the YMCA and provide support to a family or individual in need through programs like Youth Strong and LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA, helping families in our community thrive. The kid's dash is a fun, untimed dash for our kiddos ages 10 and under. Registration includes a mini bib, youth-sized shirt, and a specifically crafted medal for our kids' dash event! (If your child wants to run the kid's dash, and doesn't want the SWAG, they are welcome to run with us on race day for free!)

A winter tradition returns as the Milwaukee County Zoo commemorates the annual Samson Stomp.
Runners and walkers of all ages are invited to join in this popular event, honoring one of the Zoo’s most famous and beloved residents, Samson, the silverback gorilla (1950-1981). Money raised from the event supports all the animals in the Zoo’s population.
Entry fees include a long-sleeved T-shirt, Zoo admission, beverage, snack, and parking.
After the event, participants are invited to enjoy the remainder of the day at the Zoo.
The race will be held rain or shine, snow or cold; however, the Milwaukee County Zoo reserves the right to cancel due to severe weather or dangerous, unforeseen race conditions. No refunds will be given.
The 5K race is officially timed; results will be publicly available in person and online after the race. All races take place on public walkways throughout the Zoo. Due to safety concerns, no strollers, in-line skates, or similar devices permitted.
During the event, take part in our mission of conservation by donating your old handheld electronics — cell phones, tablets and e-readers, smart watches, earbuds, digital cameras, digital music players, wearable fitness trackers, handheld gaming systems, and GPS devices — at the Zoo for recycling. The drop-off area is located in the Zoo’s U.S. Bank Gathering Place.
Recycling handheld electronics reduces the demand for coltan, a mineral extracted from the forests of Congo, home to critically endangered lowland gorillas. The coltan mining business has led to a dramatic reduction of the gorillas’ natural habitat.

The 18th Annual F^3 Lake Half Marathon & 5k is Chicago's Original Winter Half Marathon. Each year, thousands of runners flock to this community-built event, gathering in the warmth of Soldier Field's United Club before tackling wind & weather along a lakefront course that features splits every 5km. A must for anyone preparing for a spring marathon or just resolving to stay fit throughout the new year. F^3 sold out in 2016-2020 and 2023-present.
Every registrant will once again receive one of our great hoodies and a medal! We will return to the warm confines of Soldier Field's United Club! The UC opens at 8 a.m. Gear check is available. The half marathon starts at 10:01 a.m. and consists of self-seeded waves in quick succession. The 5k is scheduled for 10:29 a.m. Courses close at 1:30 p.m.

Take a break from the hilly pavement and bring your stride to the ice. In this 5K, participants will run or walk across the ice on iconic Lake Mendota with beautiful views of downtown Madison and the University of Wisconsin-Madison Campus. The course will start and end at The Edgewater, right in the heart of the Frozen Assets Festival!

Welcome to the 2027 Grafton Lucky 5K Run/Walk presented by The Stillery - Grafton, an amazing race in an amazing community, scheduled for Saturday, March 13th, 2027, with a St. Patrick's Day vibe. We'll start and finish in beautiful downtown Grafton, WI, located 30 minutes North of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
ALL entrants will receive a long-sleeve tech-top, as well as a sweet finisher medal. Post-race festivities with food, music, FUN...and green beer!
Beginning/finishing in downtown Grafton, you'll run on a beautiful/fun course, with overall and age-group awards. Awards to top 3 overall, as well as age groups 10 and younger, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79...and 80+. Prizes also for the best dressed/most festive.

2025 Muddy Shamrock Results
Woods, dirt, mud, roots, and maybe some other adventurous trail stuff will be experienced at the 5th annual Muddy Shamrock Trail Races @ The Forge. And now that we've earned the 4th leaf in our clover, the race is now named the MUDDY SHAMROCK!
This early-season trail race will be run on wooded single & double-track trails with awesome scenery around the historic Lemont Quarries. Both races will traverse the single-track MTB trails within the woods and some gravel trails throughout the Forge and adjoining trail systems.
