The 2026 CAMBA Women’s South Mountain Bike Clinic will be a weekend of learning, gaining confidence, having fun, camaraderie, and experiencing the beauty of the CAMBA
trails in the Hayward/Cable area! Set in the heart of CAMBA’s Big Woods Endless trails, instruction for the clinic will be provided by regional certified coaches who have experience in teaching beginner, intermediate, and advanced riders looking to gain confidence on their bikes and improve their skills on the trails. Open to those identifying as women mountain bikers and over the age of sixteen, all skill levels are welcome.
Not sure what level of rider you are? Not to worry! A pre-clinic survey will be sent to all participants, the results of which will be used by the coaching staff to assess skill levels. Beginning riders will learn basic bike handling skills for single-track riding, while advanced riders will refresh on the basics and build advanced skills on the beautiful CAMBA trails. While we all like to see as much of the trail as we can, please remember that this clinic is focused on building skills and gaining confidence in a supportive environment. It is not focused on miles of trail ridden.
For more details on the clinic, see our webpage.
Come on and join us in the CAMBA Women’s and ride away with a bunch of new riding skills!
Email Laurie Woodbury at [email protected] with any questions.
Cancellation policy: We will refund registration less a $50 processing fee up until four weeks before the event. After that, a refund (less the $50 processing fee) will depend on filling your spot on our waitlist. If we cannot fill your spot, we cannot provide a refund after that point.

The 5K looped course is basically flat and follows the 10K route for approximately 2400 meters then cuts across the edge of the Tomahawk High School property and back to School Road before running into Somo Ave then back to Memorial Park on 6th St. The Mile Fun Run is also a looped course for all ages, however awards are only for those 12 and under. 5K/10K races start at 8:30 AM sharp and the Mile Fun Run begins around 9:30 AM, after the majority of the 5K participants have finished.

Eventually the races lead to a Y-intersection where the 5K runners take a sharp right turn onto school grounds and 10K runners go left continuing on King Road.
**Reminder-->There will not be an Awards Ceremony, instead awards for the 5k and Fun Run can be picked up after you finish your race at the Awards Table which will be located under the gazebo. Please ensure you have your race bib with you, as the awards volunteer will need to verify your place with the Pttiming live results strictly using your bib number. Award winners in the 10k will receive their award in the finish chute.
**In case of inclement weather the tentative plan would be to run the race the next day. Please check your email and listen to the local radio station (WJJQ 92.5) for updates.
