The Hooked on Lake Holcombe 5K Fun Run, organized by Lifebridge Holcombe UMC, takes place in the beautiful Lake Holcombe, Wisconsin resort area. The 5K run/walk route is mostly flat and goes through Holcombe, with road and trail terrain. This is more than just a 5K run/walk! Our event will have a 90 yard dash for the kids. Food and beverages will be available. After the run, you can check out the many other attractions that the Lake Holcombe resort area has to offer, such as camping, restaurants, bars, hiking trails, kayaking, canoeing, boating and fishing! Participants of the 5K run/walk will receive a free Hooked on Lake Holcombe 5K Fun Run t-shirt. Register by 6/18/2026 for early bird price of $25.00, plus guaranteed t-shirt size. Registration fee after 6/18/2026 is $30.00. Day of run registration fee is $30.00. Registration opens at 7:30 am day of run. Run starts promptly at 9:00am.

    This triathlon is held the 2nd Saturday of each May and includes a 3 mile run, a 10 mile road bike ride, and ends with a 6 mile canoe/kayak trip downriver. Participants can complete the race either solo, as a team (canoe together), or even as a 2 or 3 racer relay (splitting up the race portions).

    The race starts at noon with a 3 mile run, followed by a 10 mile paved bicycle ride, and a 6 mile canoe or kayak trek downriver. It starts and ends at Flater's Resort. The bicycle portion begins at Old Bogie's on Chippewa Avenue, and the canoe/kayak leg begins at River's Edge Resort on County Rd E 6 miles north of Flater's upriver on the Flambeau. Be sure to arrive early to allow time for parking, bib and t-shirt issue, and crowds.

    The race fee is $40 per person. Participants receive t-shirts, food, beverages, and entertainment following the race. The race is also professionally timed. Registration links can also be found on Flater's Resort website.

    Local kayak rental available with Lake Holcombe Sports and Rentals.

    The 2026 Thorp Fun Run 5K, 10K, Kids 1/2 Mile and Kids 200 Yard Dash, is held during Thorp Dairy Days. Everyone is encouraged to participate, from first-timers to competitive runners. We are proud to offer a professionally chip timed finish line again this year. All proceeds benefit the Thorp Scholarship Fund which has awarded $7600 in scholarships over the past three years.

    8:20am - 200 Yard Kid's Run

    8:30am - 1/2 Mile Kid's Fun Run

    Event Fees:

    $25 - 5K & 10K (T-shirt included)

    $5 - 1/2 mile Kid's Run (Does not include T-shirt, but can be purchased for $10)

    $5 - 200 Yard Kid's Run (Does not include T-shirt, but can be purchased for $10)

    T-shirts can only be guaranteed for registrations prior to May 20th

    Race fee does not include minor processing fees/tax.

    Awards

    Trophies will be awarded to the top finisher in the men's and women's races for both the 5K and 10K. Medals will be awarded to the top male and female finishers in each age division for both the 5K and 10K.

    Refreshments:

    After race refreshments will be provided for Fun Run participants.
