The Francis Creek Lion's Club is holding the annual "Trek The Creek Scott Bohman Memorial Family Run/Walk" on September 12, 2026. The event will be held at Pla-Mor park in Francis Creek, WI and will prominently feature the Devil's River State Recreational Trail. The run/walk is USATF certified and is chip timed! Proceeds go to benefit the Francis Creek First Responders, Francis Creek Fire Department, Pink Heals, OH Schultz Elementary Backpack program< Francis Creek Lions Club and diabetes and eyesight awareness.
Family
"Trek the Creek was Scott Bohman’s way of showing his passion of running and giving back to the community. Many years he spent planning and taking action to make sure that this race took place as an annual event. My dad, Scott, had recently passed from brain cancer in late 2018 and I know he would have loved for this race to continue on. With help from the Lions Club, we are making this happen by bringing Trek the Creek and Crick Crossing together into one event. This will keep his legacy alive and show how much he had impacted our lives and everyone else around him as well as continuing to give back to the community. I hope to see you there! Love you dad, keep giving 110%. "
~Taylor Bohman

Marathon Course: This out-and-back route takes runners past the iconic Dune Climb, Little Glen Lake, and through the charming village of Glen Arbor. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Manitou Islands and Sleeping Bear Dunes throughout the course.
Half Marathon Course: Experience challenging hills and stunning scenery along the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail.
5K Course: A fun out-and-back route that finishes at the beautiful shores of Empire Beach.
Held at the peak of fall color season, this tree-lined course offers a memorable experience for both runners and spectators alike. Come see why Good Morning America calls this area one of the most beautiful in the United States!
One of the most beautiful 26.2 courses in the state of Michigan around Crystal Lake in Beulah. The course starts and finished at the east end of Crystal Lake in Beulah (start and finish rough 400 meters apart).
As in years past, we will be offering runners the chance to run the full 26.2 as a competitive individual. The individual race begins at 7am with teams starting at 8am. We request all individuals and teams finish by 1pm (6 hr cutoff). For those that may need longer, please email and we can setup earlier start time.
Teams of 5 are encouraged, but you may register a team with fewer than 5 runners. If less than 5, the team may determine how they cover the 26.2 mile course.
Packet pickup will take place the Friday evening prior to race day 5-7pm at Beulah Beach (race start location - 284 S. Benzie Blvd, Beulah)
Restrooms will be located at the start of the race along with various locations around the race course. There are no set restrooms out on the course. Water will also be available at roughly 12-15 spots spread throughout the course (No energy gel or Gatorade provided). These "aid" stations are simply volunteers around the lake who will have a table of cups and water out for runners.
All teams are expected to transport themselves around the course to each exchange zone. This is very straightforward and a huge part of the fun! The course is not closed, and it is okay for runners on a team to join teammates for portions of their leg.
Teams of 5 are standard, but other variations are acceptable (3 runners splitting the 5 legs, one runner running 1st and last leg with 3 others taking the middle three, etc.)

The Wolfman Triathlon is one of Wisconsin’s original off-road triathlons. Held in the rugged Northwoods, this multi-discipline race includes:
A 3-mile Class II whitewater paddle
A 13-mile technical mountain bike ride
A 3.75-mile rugged trail run
Racers start in staggered 30-second intervals beginning at 8:00 AM.
Triathlon Course Overview
Paddle (3 miles) Racers launch their kayaks or canoes onto a rocky, scenic Class II section of the Wolf River just north of Langlade, WI. This exhilarating 3-mile whitewater paddle finishes at the DNR landing in Langlade.
Bike (13 miles) After pulling boats ashore, racers sprint to their bikes and head east on Highway 64 before entering the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest. The course continues through the Nicolet Roche trail system—an extensive network of technical singletrack with plenty of climbs, descents, and challenges. The segment finishes near the Gardner Dam Adventure Base.
Run (3.75 miles) The trail run begins with a bridge crossing over the Wolf River, winding along the riverbank and through lush forest trails. Expect steep climbs, dense ferns, and a final river crossing (yes, you'll get wet!) before reaching the finish line and legendary Wolfman After Party.
Additional Race Divisions
Tandem Teams
Tandem teams race as a unit and must paddle together in the same boat. The bike and run legs are completed individually, and their times are combined. Note: If one team member fails to finish, the team is disqualified.
Relay Teams
Compete as a 3-person relay team, with one person handling each leg of the race. Fastest total combined time wins.
Can't find a full team? Reach out to us—we’ll help match you with others! Or post in our Facebook group to connect with fellow racers.
Trail Run Events
🟩 Wolfman Heavy 5K – 10:00 AM
Don’t be fooled by the name—this “5K” clocks in at 3.75 miles on rugged terrain. Follow the same trail used in the Triathlon, featuring riverbank running, forest climbs, lush ferns, (optional) rope climb, and a river crossing before the big finish at the After Party. You might question your sanity mid-race… but you'll be ready to sign up again by the end!
🟨 Wolfman Heavy 10K – 10:00 AM
A new challenge replacing the former Heavy Half! This 2-lap course doubles the Triathlon run route for a total of ~7.5 miles, including two river crossings. You’ll start and finish in the same location as the 5K.
Gravel racing through the Fall colors in the Upper Peninsula of MI, what could be better? THE BEAUTIFUL COLORS, HARDWOOD AND PINE FORESTS, RAMBLING TWO-TRACKS AND FLOWING SINGLE-TRACKS WILL HAVE YOU HUMMING WHILE YOU RACE.
This epic event is held in and around the beautiful and gently rolling terrain which surrounds Crystal Mountain and will start and finish right at the resort!
Here are just a few of the great things about this race in particular: first, the venue. The trail system, which includes both Crystal Mountain property and state land, provides some of the most fun riding in Michigan. The hardwood and pine forests along with rambling two-tracks and flowing single-tracks will have you humming as you race. The course is fast and challenging but not so difficult that racers new to the sport won’t have a great time. Plus, the pre-race and post-race festivities at the Mountain are always a good time. While the adults manage to find their way to “adult” activities (read: quaffing cold ones post-race), the general atmosphere is totally family-friendly.
Then there’s the time of year: great temps, beautiful colors – ideal for hearty competition and great family fun.
On-line Registration for the P2P opens up on Saturday, June 30 at 10:00 a.m.
