The Assistance League® of the Eastside strives to serve the immediate, unmet needs of children and adults challenged by hardship or violence, strengthening our community while fostering dignity, confidence, and hope.
We are holding our second annual 5K at Marymoor Park, Redmond on Saturday, June 6th! Plan to park at Parking Lot K by the tennis courts. The Race starts by Baseball Field #5. Your participation helps us raise funds for our signature program:
Operation School Bell® supports the belief that new school clothing and essential living needs, and the resulting increase in self-esteem and school attendance, contributes to a strong foundation for a child’s successful educational experience. Financial hardship can touch any family, often creating barriers to a child’s success in school. Assistance League of the Eastside’s program Operation School Bell provides funds to students in need, supporting them to shop at their local Fred Meyer stores for essentials like clothing, shoes, books, school supplies, medications, and groceries. These students are carefully selected by school personnel from the Bellevue, Lake Washington, and Northshore School Districts, ensuring your support reaches those who need it most. But our impact goes far beyond material goods. Operation School Bell helps children feel confident, fit in with their peers, and have the tools they need to thrive academically. New clothes, a warm coat, or a book of their own —
these simple items foster self-esteem and give students the foundation for a brighter future. For some children, this will be the first time they have had a new pair of shoes, a warm coat, or a book of their very own. Now, they truly feel like they fit in with the other kids.
We welcome runners, walkers, & joggers from Redmond, Bothell, Kirkland, Bellevue, Woodinville, Kenmore and all other communities!
All participants will receive complimentary:
-
Event T-shirt (only guaranteed if registered by April 30)
-
Finisher's Medal
-
Finish Line drinks and snacks
Packet Pickup - 6/5 from 1-3 pm at Flatstick Pub 7530 164th Ave NE, Redmond, WA 98052
** Plan to drop by Flatstick Pub 7530 164th Ave NE, Redmond, WA 98052 after the race for their food, fun & games!
==> Should you not be able to join us in person or virtually for the Race, you can still order a souvenir T-shirt by 5/01/2026 - select STORE option above.
