Join us for Milhaven's first fun run and 5K on April 11th! This "Come Home" event is perfect for runners, walkers, kids, parents, strollers, and neighbors of all ages and abilities. Whether you’re chasing a personal best or simply enjoying a morning outdoors, everyone is encouraged to participate at their own pace!
The course winds through our neighborhood streets, creating a safe, cheerful route filled with friendly faces and community spirit. Our fun run option is ideal for younger participants and first-timers, while the 5K offers a great challenge for those looking to go a little farther.
After the race, stick around for our first street brunch. Lace up your sneakers and come make memories with us. We can’t wait to see you at the starting line!
Join us for the Maplewood Mile 5K on Oct 3 at 9:00 AM — a scenic, USATF-certified-ish (fun) route through Maplewood Park. Whether you’re chasing a PR or running with the stroller, this mostly-flat course highlights tree-lined paths, a pond turnaround, and a finish on the town green. Every runner gets a finisher medal; top finishers take home awards and local gift certificates. Kids’ Fun Run at 10:15 AM. Proceeds support the Maplewood Urban Tree Fund.
Welcome to the Maplewood Mile 5K — Run for the Trees!
Lace up and come enjoy a morning of fresh air, community vibes, and scenic trails. The 5K course winds along Maplewood Park’s paved and crushed-gravel paths, showcasing mature maples, a pond, and the town’s historic gazebo. It’s perfect for first-timers, families, and competitive runners alike.
Race day schedule
• 7:30 AM — Packet pickup and same-day registration opens (maplewood community center)
• 8:45 AM — Race briefing & warm-up on the green
• 9:00 AM — 5K start (chip timing)
• 10:15 AM — Kids’ Fun Run (100–200m)
• 10:45 AM — Awards ceremony & post-race snacks
What you get
• Technical short-sleeve race shirt (first 300 registrants)
• Finisher medal for all participants
• Chip timing and results posted live online
• Post-race snacks, coffee, and a local food truck village
• Kids’ activities, face painting, and race photography

Course notes & accessibility
• Mostly-flat, family-friendly course on mixed paved/gravel paths. Strollers welcome. • Accessible restrooms at start/finish. • Dogs on short leashes allowed (must be registered as a dog-runner).
Parking & transit
Free parking at Maplewood High School (shuttle to start). Bike racks available at the start/finish.
Charity
Proceeds benefit the Maplewood Urban Tree Fund to plant and maintain street trees and fund environmental education.

The Richmond T. Rex Run is a FREE, 0.4-mile fun run at Dorey Park.. Suit up in your best dino costume (inflatable T. Rex encouraged!) and waddle, sprint, or stomp your way around the lake. No timing, no winners—just big laughs, tiny arms, and a prehistoric good time!
