    The RRRC Sweetheart 8K is an annual Richmond Road Runners Club event that for 2026 offers two options for Valentine’s Day running or walking.

    New for 2026:

    We are excited to announce that this year’s Sweetheart 8K has been selected as the RRCA National Championship for “Other Distance.”

    The Sweetheart 8K will be an in-person race on Sunday, February 15, featuring a scenic 8K (5 mile) course through The Grove and Walton Park communities, historic Midlothian Coal Mine Park, and the surrounding roads and trails. The race starts and finishes at the Urban Farmhouse in The Millworks in Midlothian.

    The Virtual Sweetheart 8K will allow you to run when, where, and with whom you please from Friday, Feb. 14 to Monday, Feb. 17. You may post your results between Friday, Feb. 13 and Monday, Feb. 16.

    Both events are RRRC Grand Prix (GP) events for 2026. RRRC GP participants receive a race point for posting a time for either event. RRRC GP participants in the in-person race will receive place points based on overall and/or age-group finish times.

    This year will also include a raffle for all registered participants and a Team Costume Contest, so bring your best Valentine’s Day spirit!

    Important Deadlines:

    There is a hard deadline of February 1st to guarantee Sweetheart 8K shirts and buffs for 2026. Please register before this date if you want race swag included.

    Packet Pick-Up:

    Packet pick-up will take place at Lucky Road Running Store – Willow Lawn on Saturday February 14th. More details will be emailed to participants as race weekend approaches.

    NOTE: Details provided below about packet pick-up and race day activities are tentative and subject to change. Registered participants will receive updated information a few days before the race.

    The Richmond Road Runners Club presents this no-frills 3-mile race that captures trail and cross-country running in its purest form. In 2026, the event returns to the trails of Robious Landing Park in Midlothian, with both in-person and virtual participation options available.

    The Robious Landing 3 Miler (formerly the Huguenot 3 Miler) will be held in person on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Robious Landing Park.

    The Virtual Robious Landing 3 Miler allows participants to run on their own schedule, location, and with whomever they choose between Saturday, March 6, and Monday, March 9, 2026. Registered runners will receive instructions in advance on how to submit their finish time.

    Who We Are: Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age-appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run. Kids will earn points for each race they complete based on their finish.

    Pricing: The registration fee covers the entire five (5) weeks of the Series which includes race bibs for each week, a runner shirt, a finisher medal and any sponsor giveaways. Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable. Online Early Bird registration increases three weeks prior to the first race event.

    Challenger: This Series offers a Challenger Division which is an adaptive 75 yard race for children with disabilities and/or special needs. This allows for parents, siblings, and friends to be on the course with runners to provide support as well as bringing their own supportive devices such as crutches, braces, wheelchairs, etc. to be used by runners.

    Makeup Date Information: 5/24/2026

    Single Day Racing: Single day race registration opens one hour prior to the start of each race. The registration fee covers one single race to be run on the day of registration. ALL single day registrations should be completed onsite at the race location. Single day racers will have the option to upgrade to the full series (see tab on the left side of the page for instructions). There is a strict no-refund and no-transfer policy.

    Awards: All participants receive a medal on Week 5! Trophies will be awarded to the overall top finishers in each of the divisions listed below (broken out by boys and girls respectively):

    Clover Hill Elementary, Swift Creek Elementary, and Woolridge Elementary have joined forces again to have the Reservoir Color Run on Sunday, April 26, 2026. This event includes a 1 Mile Run at 2:00 PM. This year, each participant will receive a t-shirt and medal with sign up if registered before April 6, 2026. After this date and until the race, you can still register, but you will not receive a t-shirt and we cannot guarantee a medal. There will be a limited number of registrations available this year.     The purpose of this race is not only to bring together three neighboring school communities, but to also raise money for each school. This money will allow the schools to further enhance school enrichment with items such as new technology and equipment, health and wellness programs, staff conference sponsorships, and children’s engineering programs, which will benefit students and teachers alike.
