    Run Different is honored to present our first ever RARE DISEASE DAY 5K! Rare Disease Day is observed on February 28th each year to raise awareness for the 300 million people worldwide living with rare diseases. Help us bring attention to this often-overlooked cause! Finishers will receive a CUSTOM EVENT-THEMED MEDAL! Those who place top FOUR in their age group will win an ADDITIONAL AWARD MEDAL!

    Registration Includes:

    • Event-themed participation t-shirt (5K & 1M) REGISTER BY 02/14 TO GAURANTEE YOUR T-SHIRT SIZE

    • Custom Finisher Medal (5K & 1M)

    • Eligibility for Age Group Awards (5K ONLY)

    Age groups will be awarded 3 deep in the following divisions: M/F 0-4, M/F 5-9, M/F 10-14, M/F 15-19, M/F 20-24, M/F 25-29, M/F 30-34, M/F 35-39, M/F 40-44, M/F45-49, M/F 50-54, M/F 55-59, M/F 60-64, M/F 65-69, M/F 70-74, M/F 75-79, M/F 80+. Our OVERALL MALE, OVERALL FEMALE, MALE MASTERS (40+), FEMALE MASTERS (40+), MALE GRAND MASTERS (60+), & FEMALE GRAND MASTERS (60+) will receive PLATINUM MEDALS!

    This race is GUN TIMED. Please ensure competitive runners should line up towards the front. Bibs should be visible on the front of your bodies.

    AWARDS WILL BE DISTRIPUTED AT THE EVENT. WE WILL NOT SHIP AWARDS. PLEASE BE SURE TO CHECK ON YOUR RESULTS PRIOR TO LEAVING THE EVENT.

    2026 IN-PERSON SHOOTS AND LADDERS 5K & 10K

    SATURDAY, MAY 9, 2026

    Join us for the 8th Annual Shoots and Ladders, benefiting Plano Police Association and Plano Firefighters Association. Walk, jog, or run! This event is for all fitness levels. The Red Tail Pavilion at Oak Point Park is the perfect Start/Finish location for a 5K and 10K run. Runners and walkers will enjoy a beautiful route through Oak Point Park and nature preserve.

    All participants receive a tech shirt, a BLINKING LIGHTS Finisher medal, and a custom bib.

    Unable to attend? No worries - participate as a Virtual Runner. Registration includes virtual bib, shirt, and finisher medal.
