Standing With Brilee Mae Kirk in Her Fight Against Neuroblastoma
This past fall this sweet family experienced unimaginable heartbreak when they lost baby Brielle at just two weeks old. No family should ever have to endure that kind of pain.
Now, they are facing another devastating challenge.
In February, 3 year old Brilee was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, an aggressive form of cancer. Their world has once again been turned upside down.
As they begin this difficult journey of treatments, hospital stays, and countless appointments, their focus needs to be completely on Brilee — on loving her, comforting her, and fighting alongside her every single day.
With God’s grace and excellent medical care, we are praying boldly for complete healing. We believe in miracles. We believe in strength beyond understanding. But we also know this will be a long and difficult battle.
The financial burden of cancer treatment is overwhelming. Funds raised will help with:
Medical expenses and treatments
Travel to and from hospitals
Lodging during extended stays
Meals and daily living expenses
Time away from work to care for Brilee
After already walking through deep loss, this family now faces another mountain. Let’s surround them with support, prayer, and generosity.
If you are able to give, no amount is too small. Every donation makes a difference. If you’re unable to give financially, please share this fundraiser and keep Brilee and her family lifted in prayer.
Let’s stand together in faith, hope, and love as Brilee begins this fight.
“Lord, be their strength, their peace, and their healer.”
Event details and schedule

Welcome to the 20th Annual Summer Solstice Endurance Runs. This is your opportunity to see just how far you can run on a warm, summer night in West Texas! If you don't want to run that long or far, we have a 5 Mile Race as well! The location will be at Redbud Park in South Abilene. There is a map to the location on the online registration information. The race start/finish area will be at the playground location near the middle of the park. All runners/walkers will start at 9:00 PM. The course will be the one mile loop at Redbud Park. There won’t be any street crossings and the course will be well lit after dark. There will be one well-stocked aid station. We will provide plenty of Gatorade and water. For those running the timed events, we will provide other items at the aid station you would typically find at Ultra races; peanuts, chips, Oreos, M&Ms, and pizza!. If you carry your own water bottle or hydration pack, you can refill it after every loop. We would encourage you to bring a lawn
chair and, if needed, a drop bag for your gear. You can set up your chair anywhere near the start/finish area. You may need a flashlight for finding things in your drop bag, but you won’t need one for the course. After you finish your run, we will have plenty of food provided for you at no charge, thanks to many of our local merchants. Chip Timed by Abilene Runners Club. After you finish, we will be able to tell you your total laps, distance, and finishing time. For all you Marathon Maniacs that need 26.2 miles to count toward Maniac points, you will need to complete 27 loops. We will have published results. The race is also listed on the Marathon Maniac website under upcoming races. www.marathonmaniacs.com.
