From big races to Saturday morning group runs—find fun run events and connect with the local endurance sports community.
Bring the whole family out to run or walk along the Jean Teague Greenway all around West Hills/John Bynon Park and support the Paideia Academy Community. The 5K starts at 10AM and the there will be a special 1 Mile Kids Run and mini decathalon starting roughly around 10:45. You won't want to miss this event so register soon!
The Woolf is on the run! Come join us this April for this inaugural 5K & 1 Mile kids fun run in Knoxville!
Our mission at Woolfson Eye Institute is to help individuals achieve better vision. We
know that not all can be helped with surgical options, which is why we are presenting
the first ever Woolf on the Run 5K. Proceeds and donations from this event will be given to the
Tennessee School for the Blind located in Nashville, TN.

The race will run from Victor Ashe Park feature paved greenways on an out and back lollipop loop. Course begins at the Pavilion area of Victor Ashe Park. The Fun Run will be an out and back course, parents are welcome to chaperone their young runners without registering themselves.
GIVEAWAYS:
All 5K participants will receive a T-shirt and goody bag, sign up before April 5th to ensure your T-shirt size!
AWARDS:
Age groups medal awards for 5K race will be awarded in every 10 year increment.
<12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
**All Kids will receive a token award for participating in the Mile run.
RESTROOMS: Will be available from the Pavilion area near the Start/ Finish area and water fountains.
PACKET PICKUP: Will be available only on Race morning from 7:30AM-8:45AM from the Pavilion.
WATER STOPS: Aid/ Water stations will be available on the course around mile 1.25. These will be stocked with Water for runners.
PARKING AND TRANSPORTATION: Parking is conveniently available in the park near the Start/ Finish area.
Proceeds for this race will go to benefiting the Tennessee School for the Blind. Proceeds and donations will go directly to the school, allowing students to have opportunities for class trips, extra school supplies, and
other adventures in learning!

Event Outline
The RecSports 5K Fun Run & Walk will begin promptly at 8am and will start at the TRECS (2111 Volunteer Blvd., Knoxville, TN 37996) and finish at the RecSports Sutherland Field Complex (3620 Sutherland Ave, Knoxville, TN 37919).
Race Participants are encouraged to park at the RecSports Sutherland Field Complex for transportation to the starting line at TREC, transportation service will be available from 6:30-7:30am to shuttle participants.
We recommend arriving to park between 6am and 7am to allow time for shuttle transportation and stretching/warm ups. Last bus will leave for the starting line at 7:30am. Restrooms will be available at both the start and finish sites.
Race course is open from 8am – 10:30am.
Please join us after the race for fun and festivities at the Rec fields for food, awards & door prizes.
Award Ceremony & Giveaways will start at 9:30am.
*UT Students will need to enter their NetID during check out to qualify for the student rate. Community members are welcome to join this event as well. UT Staff and faculty members should reach out to [email protected] for special staff pricing. T-shirt deadline is April 3rd, sign up before this to guarantee your shirt size.
Awards:
All 5K finishers will receive a medal. Awards will be given to the top 3 Male & Female runners in the 5K.
Age group awards will be awarded to the top performer in 10 year increments (14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+). Awards will be presented at 9:30 along with other door prizes for present participants (will not be mailed).

Race Transportation
Race participants are encouraged to park at the RecSports Sutherland Field Complex (3620 Sutherland Ave, Knoxville, TN 37919). Shuttles will transport race participants to the TRECS Plaza (5K start location) starting at 6:30am and will make trips to the Start every 20 minutes. The last bus to the start will run at 7:30am, please plan to have ample time to board the buses. Shuttles will continue to run from the Finish (Sutherland Recreation Fields) back to the start area for foot traffic participants until 11am.
**Be sure to have your bib on hand when loading onto the busses bound for the starting line.

Run for the Scrubs is a timed 5K fun run hosted by the Epsilon Sigma at-Large Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Join us at Victor Ashe Park for a morning of movement, motivation, and community spirit—all to raise scholarship funds for future nurses from LMU, ETSU, Milligan, King, and Emory & Henry. Whether you walk, jog, or sprint, every step supports the next generation of nurses. Strollers are welcome!
