Last Mamba Standing
Welcome to Last Mamba StandingThe newest—and most unforgiving—challenge from Mamba Trail Runners. This is a true last runner standing race, stripped down to its rawest form:one loop, one start every hour, one rule—make the cutoff or your race is over. The loop is 4.167 miles, and every hour, on the hour, you toe the line again. No exceptions. No extensions.Miss the cutoff once, and your race is finished. The race takes place on private land in Eads, on trails where no one has ever raced—and very few have ever stepped foot. These are untouched, purpose-built trails created specifically for this event. Expect rolling hills, flowing singletrack, and raw natural terrain that pulls you deeper into the woods with every lap. Wildlife moves all around you. The setting is quiet, remote, and completely removed from the outside world. This race isn’t about speed or flashy PRs.It’s about mental toughness, relentless consistency, and the willingness to keep showing up when everything hurts. With every passing hour, the field shrinks. The silence grows heavier. The question becomes unavoidable:Can you do one more lap?Only one runner will earn the title Last Mamba Standing and take home a custom, one-of-a-kind award built to sit proudly on a mantle or shelf.Every runner who completes at least one lap will receive a finisher medal. But only one runner will still be moving when it’s all over.If you’re looking for a race that is raw, exclusive, and brutally honest…If you want to run trails that no one else has touched…If you want to find out how deep you’re willing to go…Last Mamba StandingThe land is private. The challenge is real. The last runner wins.
Primitive Camping
Camp with us on Friday night, September 25th and wake up already at the start/finish line. We’ll have primitive camping spots available right by the start line, near the lake, or wherever you’d like to set up.We’ll provide porta potties and hand-washing stations. Please plan to bring your own food, water, and all camping supplies. Both camping tents and 10×10 canopy tents are welcome.Friday night will feature a big fire, music, and a laid-back hangout around the barn as we talk about the race ahead. This is a great opportunity to camp alongside both local runners and out-of-town athletes, swap stories, meet new people, and build friendships before toeing the line the next morning.Make it a full weekend experience—not just a race.
Aid Station Information
There will be no traditional aid stations on the course or at the Start/Finish line. We will provide water, Tailwind, and basic trail snacks, like cookies, crackers, etc. Runners are responsible for bringing any additional nutrition, gear, or supplies they may need during the race.
Awards / Swag

No exceptions.-Finisher MedalAll other runners who complete at least one lap will receive an official Last Mamba Standing medal.-Race ShirtEvery registered runner will receive a Last Mamba Standing t-shirt.This race is simple, brutal, and pure.Outlast everyone… or take home the medal and the memories.

Welcome to the duckDNA application portal, your first step to becoming a hunter-scientist through duckDNA.
This portal streamlines the application process for all of our projects. Whether you are interested in our standard sampling program, in which participants harvest and contribute samples from three Mallard-like ducks (Mallard, American Black Duck, Mexican Duck, or Mottled Duck), or the hybrid sampling program, which focuses on hybrids or other visually distinctive ducks already in hand, our secure and user-friendly tools make it easy to get involved.
By applying, you become a vital part of a ground-breaking research project. Through this project, we are revealing the prevalence of game-farm Mallard genes in wild populations, exploring Mallard population structure, discovering new hybrids, and laying the foundation for a deeper understanding of how genetics controls waterfowl behavior and ecology. Your participation will inform data-driven conservation and ensure the long-term health of wild waterfowl in North America.
Join the growing community of hunters, researchers, and conservationists contributing to duckDNA. Start your application today and help shape the future of waterfowl science and conservation.

THE CANCER KICKERS BIG BUFFALO 50 April 3rd, 2027 Shelby Farms Park The Cancer Kickers Big Buffalo 50 is more than a race. It’s a lifeline. As the largest annual fundraiser for the Cancer Kickers Soccer Club, every stride taken on race day directly fuels hope, joy, and connection for children around the world who are fighting cancer. Founded in Memphis in 2016 by Michelle and Chris Clothier, CKSC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to wrapping kids in comfort and community during the hardest battle of their lives. Through custom soccer kits, complete with jerseys, balls, gear, and personalized touches, we remind each child that they’re not facing cancer alone. So far, more than 3,200 kids have received their own kit of courage. This year, we’re calling on the Memphis running community to help us reach even more children. During registration, you’ll have the option to make a donation to CKSC and every single dollar goes straight to the mission. It costs $300 to deliver one complete kit to a
child. That means: * Every relay team registered supports one child. * Every four 50K runners support one child. * Every three 50-mile runners support one child. Your gift, no matter the size, has the power to brighten a child’s day, lift a family’s spirits, and remind them they’re part of a team that cares. Together, we can create real, meaningful impact for these brave kids. Let’s run with purpose. Let’s run for them. Watch our special video to see how Cancer Kickers transforms lives and hear firsthand from an incredible family whose world was changed by our team.

If you’ve done a traditional 5K, you know they can be a bit lackluster. But the BUBBLE RUN™ is like running through Willy Wonkas’ factory. Clad in white t-shirts, adults, kids and strollers run, walk, dance and play across up to 3 miles of absolute fun! Waves start every 3-5 minutes. Participants will run through the Foam Bogs where there is enough colored foam to cover you from head to toe!
Bubble-teers will also be there to help make sure you get your share of the frothy goodness. Each one of the Foam Bogs is represented by different colored foam. So what if you should accidentally “taste the whimsey?” They don’t taste as great as they are fun, but not to worry. The foam is 100% safe.
Event details and schedule
Please plan on arriving 30-45 minutes prior to your wave start to give yourself plenty of time to park, get your Bubble RUN™ swag, check in if needed, and to get situated.
Please be prompt for your Heat.
Once your heat has started, (the heat is the time you registered for) small waves will be released every 60-90 seconds. Your physical start time is based on a first come-first serve basis, so naturally you will start earlier if you enter the start chute earlier. The last wave within your heat will go out 30 minutes after your scheduled heat (i.e., if your registered heat is for 8AM, the last wave in your heat will leave at 8:30AM).
Bring some extra cash for parking and SWAG!
After you park, bring some extra cash! You'll want to check out our super sweet Bubble RUN store for t-shirts, tutus, and more!
There may be a parking charge of up to $20 for the event that is handled by the venue. With THOUSANDS of smiles present on race day, please have exact change and please don't cut your time too short before the race starts. Cram as many bubblers (legally) into your car to save some cash money money!

It’s every runner’s responsibility to know all the rules. These are common rules in ultras and not overly restrictive. In our experience, the ultra-community is very trustworthy, and intentional rule-breaking is rare—issues typically come from not fully understanding the rules.NO DROPPING DOWN IN DISTANCE:You must complete the distance you signed up for. If you register for the 100-mile, you must complete 100 miles or receive a DNF.NO MULING:Runners must carry all their own gear, food, and water. Pacers may not give runners any supplies outside of fully manned aid stations. At manned aid stations, pacers and crew may assist as
needed.NO CREWING OUTSIDE AID STATIONS:Crew may only assist at fully manned aid stations. No outside assistance is allowed anywhere else on the course.STAY ON COURSE:You must follow the marked course at all times. Cutting the course or missing sections will result in disqualification. No time adjustments, no exceptions.NO LITTERING:Littering anywhere on the course, at aid stations, or at the finish line is strictly prohibited.COMPLETE ON FOOT ONLY:The course must be completed on foot. No assistance from vehicles, bicycles, animals, or anything else (you get the idea).TREKKING POLES:Allowed, but please be courteous to other runners when using them.HEADPHONES:Allowed, but please remove them when approaching aid stations and stay aware of other runners passing.PASSING ETIQUETTE:Be aware of your surroundings and respectful when runners are passing.CREW & PACER RESPONSIBILITY:You are responsible for your crew and pacer. Drop bags are only allowed at designated aid stations.PACERS & CREW RULES:If using a pacer or crew, you must follow all rules outlined in the Aid Station and Pacers sections.GENERAL RULE:No cheating. flashlights, clothing, or any supplies for their runner. Muling is strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification. Each pacer must pick up a pacer bib/number and sign a release form at Packet Pickup before pacing. No exceptions.Pacers must enter and leave aid stations with their runner and clearly identify themselves to aid station volunteers. Pacers may take aid from aid stations.Pacers must stay with their runner at all times and may not run ahead. If the runner drops, the pacer must drop as well. The only exception is a true emergency where the pacer goes ahead to get help—in this case, the runner will be removed from the race for safety.Pacers may carry their own supplies and nutrition only.Pacers may not continue on course without their registered runner. The pacer is a companion, not a leader—the runner is responsible for navigating and leading on the course. While pacers are allowed, this race can absolutely be completed without one. having a pair of trail shoes is recommended. Trekking poles are allowed but not required. Deferrals & Refunds All registrations for the Viper 300 are non-refundable and non-transferable. No refunds and no bib transfers will be permitted.Entries may be deferred for race credit based on the following timeline:50% race credit if deferred at least 60 days prior to the race25% race credit if deferred at least 30 days prior to the raceNo race credit after March 1st, 2026A runner may change distances as long as spots are available in the requested race. Refunds will not be issued if a runner chooses to move to a shorter distance. These policies are in place due to the planning, permits, and resources required to organize an event of this size. Viper 25k Information The Viper 25K is the perfect introduction to the Viper experience, offering a fast, fun, and challenging course that showcases the best of Shelby Farms Park. Runners will cover approximately 15.5 miles, made up of a mix of paved
greenways and dirt trails, giving you a little bit of everything this course has to offer.25K Course OverviewThe course consists of 9.5 miles of paved trails and 6 miles of dirt trails through Shelby Farms Park. The first 3.5 miles are on paved trails before reaching the Tour de Wolf (TDW) Aid Station. From there, you will run 6 miles on the Tour de Wolf dirt trail loop, returning to the TDW Aid Station again. The final 6.2 miles are back on paved trails leading to the finish line. You may place a drop bag at the TDW Aid Station, and many runners choose to switch into trail shoes here for the dirt loop and then change back into road shoes before heading out for the final paved section. Depending on where you park, you will pass near your car around Mile 3 and again around Mile 9.5, making it easy to plan ahead.Course NavigationAt approximately Mile 1.5, be sure to turn right and follow the 25K signs. There will be course signs at key intersections and turns, and if you don’t see a
directional sign, simply follow the orange ground flags. All flags will be placed on the right side of the trail, along with orange confidence ribbons hanging from tree limbs. Some sections—especially on the Chickasaw paved trails—will be run in both directions, so please stay aware of other runners.Finish LineA fully stocked aid station will be waiting for you at the finish line, and your car will be approximately ½ mile away, depending on where you parked. This distance is great for first-time trail runners, road runners looking to mix it up, or anyone wanting to be part of the Viper race weekend without taking on the longer distances. Fast, approachable, and still a challenge—the 25K delivers. Photographer Professional race photography will be provided throughout race week, capturing the full experience—from the early miles to the final finish line moments at Hyde Lake. Our photographers will be positioned across the course and at key locations to document your journey, so you can relive
the effort, emotion, and accomplishment long after the race is over.We have one of the best in the sport joining us as the official race photographer—Jenny Thorson. Jenny is bringing her incredible talent to capture the best shots of all runners and their race experience. Her work has been featured multiple times on the front cover of UltraRunning Magazine (March 2023 and November 2021) and she has been published numerous times with photos and articles, including coverage of the Mamba 100 in the March 2024 issue. Your photo from the Viper just might make it into UltraRunning Magazine. All race photos will be provided free to runners, giving you high-quality images to download, share, and celebrate your finish. Please wear your bib on the front so Jenny can easily identify you as a Viper runner and capture your photo. With many visitors in the park, a bib on your back makes it difficult to distinguish runners from other park guests. Viper Course Loop - 33.4 miles Route map for Viper 300 Route
