    Join the Pack for a 5K run or walk with and for your best four-legged friends.

    This race is 100% dog friendly for all well socialized pups on a leash. We do ask that any owners running with dogs be prepared with a pick up bag to attend to any unscheduled potty breaks on the course. Dogs are not allowed off leash at any time.

    You can run with a dog or without. Limit one dog per handler. 1 runner + 1 dog = $45. Minimum age for a runner with a dog is 12 years old. Kids 10 and under run free, but must be accompanied by an adult and do not receive race swag and are not officially timed.

    There will be awards for the top 3 male and female finishers with a dog, as well as:

    • Best Sweetheart Squad (Valentine's theme or general costume)

    • Best Heart Melter/Most Adorbs

    • Best Butt Wiggle

    • Grand Master Award/Most Likely to Take a Nap

    • Novice Award/Most Enthusiastic

    All prizes sponsored by Dolittle’s Pet Shop.

    After the race, stick around for an owner/dog 100 yard Dash Race! Fastest Dog gets a prize.

    Be sure to check out the tennis ball field, stick crossing and squirrel overlook!

    The race will take place on Saturday, February 7th at 9:00am at the beautiful Palmetto Island Park in Mount Pleasant. Free park entry and parking is available in the park with your race entry.

    All participants will receive a race t-shirt and matching bandana for their puppy love.

    Please note that if you select the "10 & under free" registration category, a t-shirt is not included. To receive a t-shirt and a timing chip, participants must register as paid entrants.

    Hot chocolate and human and pup treats will be available post race.

    The event will support the Lucy Beckham Meowdog Rescue and the Charleston Animal Society.

    Packet Pick Up will take place at Blue Sky Endurance at 624 Coleman Blvd on Friday, February 6th from 10am - 6pm and Saturday from 8am - 8:30am at Palmetto Island Park.

    Go for the Pot o' GOLD! The Catch the Leprechaun 5K is a 3.1 mile race for walkers, joggers, competitive and non-competitive runners and stroller pushers (no bikes or dogs please). We encourage everyone to dress in their best Irish/Green outfit. Prizes are awarded to top runners, age groupers and best Irish costume! The course is a USATF Certified 5K flat and fast course on pavement.

    The famous local legend Leprechaun will be on the course with plenty of shenanigans and malarkey. Any runners who beat the Leprechaun to the finish line will receive a lucky prize!

    The race will begin and end at Blue Sky Endurance at Park Bend at Carolina Park. The flat 5K course will take you along Park Avenue Blvd. to Darrel Creek Trail and back.

    Pre-race yoga provided by Lowcountry Yoga at 8am on the grass at Park Bend.

    There will be Pots 'o Gold for the top 3 Overall male and female finishers, top male and female Masters, top male and female Grandmasters. Separate Age Group awards for the top male and female of each of the following age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, and 90 and over.

    Proceeds from this race will benefit Racers for Pacers, a local non profit that provides running chairs for individuals with disabilities who cannot run on their own. Racers for Pacers provides these individuals with the opportunity to “run” with a pacer on a regular basis and in local 5ks, 10ks or longer competitive runs throughout the Lowcountry.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Q. Does this race award a medal to finishers?

    A. Yes, this year we will be awarding festive finisher medals.

    Q. What is the minimum age requirement and do you need a parents or guardian’s consent to participate?

    A. The minimum age for the 5K is 6 years, and we do need the signature of a consenting parent or guardian. No runner under the age of 10 may participate in the 5K unless accompanied by an adult.

    Q. Can kids run for free?

    A. Yes, you can register your child 10 & Under for free, but they will NOT be timed, nor will they receive a race t-shirt or and any post race swag. If you want to have your child timed and to receive all race swag, please register them as a paid participant.

    Q: Can I have my favorite pet/dog run with me?

    A: No. For the safety of the runners, no dogs will be allowed to run on the race course.

    Q. Can I register at packet pick up? What about on race day? Do you accept credit cards at packet pick up and/or on race day?

    A. Yes, there will be race day registration, but t-shirts or finisher mugs will not be guaranteed. Packet Pick Up will be at Blue Sky Endurance at Carolina Park.

    Q. Can I pick up my friend’s packet?

    A. Yes you can. You only need the name they registered under to do so. Be sure to coordinate, we have had situations where someone picked up a packet for another and the original runner also showed up asking for their packet.

    Q. Is there race day packet pick-up?

    A. We will have packet pick up on Friday, March 13th from 10am - 6pm and also on race day from 7:30am - 8am at Blue Sky Endurance at Carolina Park only. 3510 Park Avenue Blvd., Suite 102, Mount Pleasant. There will be no packet pickup from the Blue Sky Endurance Coleman location.

    Q. The shirt in my packet doesn’t fit, can I exchange it for a different size?

    A. If we have any extras after the race you are welcome to exchange, but if the race fills, extras for exchange are unlikely.

    Q. Will there be a place to leave a drop bag for the race?

    A. No.

    Q. I registered but now I can’t make it, can I get a refund or defer my registration to next year?

    A. There is NO RAINCHECK for this event. Your entry fee for this year’s event CANNOT be transferred to next year’s event, and there are NO REFUNDS, no exceptions. This policy stays in effect whether you are injured, have an unexpected business or family emergency, pregnancy, etc. There are NO exceptions. Seriously.

    You CAN donate your entry to charity, you will get a cash donation receipt. Just let us know!

    You can transfer your entry to another person for free before registration closes on 3/14/2026. Please contact us to do so.

    PLEASE NOTE that there is an immediate disqualification for anyone who runs under another person’s bib other than the person of record.

    Q. Can you mail my race packet to me or can I pickup my packet after the race, even though I’m not going to run?

    A. You will be able to pick up your packet up to one week after the race. No packets will be mailed.

    Q. I left early, but it looks like I won an award. Can you mail it to me?

    A. No, we do not mail out awards after the race. You will be able to pick up your award at Blue Sky Endurance at Carolina Park up to one week after the race. After one week, your prize will be donated.

    Q. Are baby joggers/strollers allowed?

    A. Yes, please be aware and stay clear of other runners.

    Q. Will there be a water station on the course?

    A. Yes, there will be a water station at the intersection of Darrell Creek Trail and Faulkner Drive.

    Q. Can I wear my headphones?

    A. We highly discourage the use of headphones in our races for your safety and the safety of your fellow runners. If you do use headphones, please keep one ear free and listen for instructions from the race monitors.

    Q. I’m running, can my spouse/family volunteer?

    A. Yes, we can use all the help we can get. They must sign up under the volunteer tab on the race registration page.

    Q. Will there be an after party, with food and drinks?

    A. Definitely and you don't want to miss it! There will also be live music.

    Q. When will the race results be posted?

    A. Usually the same day on the race registration website.

    Q. What are your contingency plans for bad weather?

    A. See below:

    Rain– The event will NOT be canceled due to rain alone unless the downpour is such that athletes, police, and volunteers lose visibility making situations unsafe. If this occurs we will wait until the rain subsides and follow the same procedure listed for lightning conditions (minus the 30 minute rule). Athletes will be informed of such a change via announcements on race morning.

    Lightning – In the event of lightning the race will be postponed by 30 minutes every time lightning is spotted and thunder is heard within 6 miles of the event. Please note that every time lightning strikes and thunder is heard within 6 miles of the race site we must delay the start by 30 minutes.

    What is a Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk?

    The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001 after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers. Honor all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and support our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty!     This will be the first year for Tunnel to Towers to host an event in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. We are very excited to bring together the community to honor first responders, remember 9/11, and raise funds for the Tunnel to Towers programs.

    How far is a Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk?

    This is a 5K (approximately 3.1 miles) to walk or run event. Anyone can run, walk, or experience this event.

    Packet pickup will also be available on the morning of the event beginning at 7:15 AM.

    *Please note that shirt sizes are not guaranteed. Shirts are first come, first served.

    Can I register the day of the run?

    Yes. Registration will open at 7:15 AM the morning of the run. If you register on the same day of the event, you will be unable to receive a timed chip for your bib. T-shirts are limited, so it is a possibility you will not receive a t-shirt either with same day registrations.

    When does online registration close?

    Online registration will remain open until race day registration is closed. If you register after packet pick-up, you may not receive your T-shirt and any other race day swag.

    Do I have to wear my bib number?

    Yes, please display your bib on the front of your outermost garment. Those who run without a bib will be asked to leave the course and will not be allowed to finish.

    I am a fast runner. Can I get a front-line position?

    Runners predicting a pace faster than 6 minute/mile should go to the front corral.

    Will there be awards for running?

    Yes, we keep them very simple since our mission is to honor first responders. We hope to have awards for men, women, and different age groups. This event is intended to be an experience and much more than a run.

    Will water be available?

    Yes, a water station will be available along the route and there will be water available at the Start/Finish Line.

    What can you bring to the event? Can I run with a stroller, backpack, wheelchair, roller blades, bicycle, etc.?

    Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted. Firefighter turnout gear and military backpacks are also permitted. Please leave all personal items and valuables in your vehicle. All items should be stored securely at the owner's risk. Tunnel to Towers Foundation will not be responsible for the loss of any items.

    Is this event pet friendly?

    Yes, you may bring your pet as long as it is leashed at all times.

    Does my registration fee count towards my fundraising goal?

    Your registration fee does not count toward the fundraising goal.

    Can someone else pick up my packet for me?

    Yes, they can. They must present a copy of your registration receipt. And don't forget to thank them!

    Can I still donate to a team and/or individual after the start of the race?

    Yes. Donations will be accepted for 6 weeks after the event.

    How can my company/organization sponsor this event?

    Can I get a refund?

    We do not provide refunds for the event regardless if you cannot make the date or the foundation needs to cancel the event for extenuating circumstances. Registration may be transferred to another person.

    How can I volunteer?

    It's simple! Email us at [email protected] and we will reply within 24 hours. Volunteers are always needed for the day of festivities. Thank you!

    Do registrants get receipts?

    When you register online you should automatically receive a receipt. If paying by credit card or check that is your receipt. If paying in cash, receipt upon request.

    Your journey starts here. She Tris Sprint Triathlon, all women's events, are designed for women of all skill levels, ages and backgrounds to experience triathlons in an encouraging environment.     She Tris I'On Club takes place in the gorgeous I'On Mt. Pleasant neighborhood with stunning marsh views and stately homes.

    Course Distance: 200 YARD SWIM – 9 MILE BIKE – 2 MILE RUN

    TRIATHLON (Swim, bike, and run and relay option):

    SWIM:

    The swim is a 200 yard pool swim in the I'On Club pool. Participants start at one side of the pool and snake their way up and down each lane as they work towards the other side of the pool. You will be provided with a swim cap if you choose to wear it.

    BIKE:

    The bike course is a two loop 9 mile route through I'On and surrounding neighborhoods. The roads are open to traffic – but traffic is usually fairly light.

    RUN:

    The 2 mile run course is an out and back on quiet roads and running paths around the neighborhood lakes. The course is partially shaded and completely flat.

    *Triathlon, aquathlon, duathlon and triathlon relay options available. Aquathlon is simply swim and run. Duathlon is run, bike, run. These are great introductions into multisport and perfect for daughters to participate with mom, aunt or grandma!

    DUATHLON (Run, Bike, Run):

    RUN 1:

    BIKE:

    The bike course is a two loop 9 mile route through I'On and surrounding neighborhoods. The roads are open to traffic – but traffic is usually fairly light.

    RUN 2:

    The 2 mile run course is an out and back on quiet roads and running paths around the neighborhood lakes. The course is partially shaded and completely flat.

    AQUATHLON (Swim, Run):

    SWIM: The swim is a 200 yard pool swim in the I'On Club pool. Participants start at one side of the pool and snake their way up and down each lane as they work towards the other side of the pool. You will be provided with a swim cap if you choose to wear it.

    VIRTUAL OPTIONS

    Complete the triathlon, duathlon, or aquathlon distances anywhere anytime in May. Virtual participants can upload their times, but they will not be included in awards. A finisher certificate will be available for download. All virtual participants may choose to pick up their packets locally or they will be mailed in May. Times should be submitted before 11:59 pm by May 31st.

    The mission of She Tris is to create a welcoming and supportive triathlon environment for women and girls who want to complete a triathlon, regardless of their level of experience. By tackling the challenge of triathlon, we believe our participants will feel empowered to take on other challenges in life, be it personal or professional, and that the impact of She Tris will reach beyond the finish line into the lives of these women and those they influence along the way.

    MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT

    She Tris requires youth participants to be a minimum of 10 years of age on 12/31/2026.
