Join Us for the OVH 5K Road Race!

Come join us for the only 5K road race located in the Old Village of Mount Pleasant, SC! This race features a USATF Certified course with clearly marked mile markers and a well-defined route. The OVH 5K event is one of the few dog and stroller-friendly races in Charleston.

Event Details

After Party: Enjoy music and refreshments with family and friends after the race!

Location: Fleet Feet of Mt. Pleasant

Date & Time:Friday, Nov 13th: 11 AM - 6 PM

Race Day (On-Site): 7:30 AM - 8:15 AM

Registration Information: All registration will be online and there will be race day registration, but if we reach our max registration, we will close registration.

T-Shirt Orders: We will stop taking orders on Saturday, Nov 7th to place the shirt order. If you do not register before November 7th, your t-shirt is not guaranteed.

Rain or Shine: The race will take place regardless of weather conditions, and there will be no refunds. If unforeseen circumstances require cancellation, we will attempt to reschedule.

Virtual Runners: Your shirt will be mailed to you.

    Come join us for a Twilight 5K series on Thursday nights this summer. The race will begin promptly at 6:30pm at the finish line at the track on Willson Field at The Citadel. Race nights will be June 4, 11, 18 and 25.

    The Course

    This USATF certified 5K begins on the track at The Citadel, where participants will run a lap around campus, go through Summerall gate of The Citadel, run 1 lap around Hampton Park, come back through Summerall gate of The Citadel and then run another lap on campus, finishing on the track.

    Parking

    Parking will be available near Willson Field at The Citadel.

    Day of Race Registration

    Registration the day of the race will be available from 5:00-6:15pm on Willson Field at The Citadel. The fee will be $50 without a T-shirt.

    Packet Pick-up

    Race numbers and packets can be picked up from 5:00-6:15pm on the day of the race at Willson Field at The Citadel.

    Water and Restrooms

    Water stops will be available throughout the course and near the finish. Restrooms will be available near Willson Field.

    Results

    Results will be posted on www.timinginc.com as soon as computations are complete.

    Starting on the Isle of Palms and crossing the iconic Connector into Mount Pleasant before returning to the island, runners enjoy breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean, Intracoastal Waterway, marshes, and local wildlife along the way. Choose from the 10K or 5K run or walk, open to participants of all ages and experience levels.

    This race is 100% nonprofit, supporting local organizations dedicated to the prevention of child abuse and the healing of children and families in the Charleston area.     Join our fight against child abuse in the Lowcountry. The Isle of Palms Connector Run will be a challenging road race across the IOP Connector. Starting at 8 AM on the Isle of Palms, crossing into Mount Pleasant and returning to IOP, 10K and 5K runners, walkers and teams of all experience levels and ages will be rewarded with beautiful vistas of the Atlantic Ocean, Intracoastal Waterway, local creeks, marsh views and waterfowl.

    A post-race festival for the whole family will feature live music, free beer (21+), kids' area, cash prizes, awards ceremony and vendor exhibits.

    All funds raised go directly to local organizations for the prevention of child abuse and healing those affected by it. Over the past three decades @ioprun has given back over $1,240,000 to local nonprofits.

    $146,000 was awarded in 2024 to the following beneficiaries: HALOS, Windwood Farm, Dee Norton Child Advocacy Center, Florence Crittenton, My Sister's House, Landmarks for Families, Doors to Freedom, Darkness to Light, Child Abuse Prevention Center - Beaufort, IOP Exchange Club Child Abuse Prevention committee.
