The 2026 Unified 5k and AdaptXpo is an inclusive road race and adaptive sports expo designed so that everyone can participate, whether they run, walk, row, or roll. The event raises critical funds for AdaptX education, research, community events, fitness programming, and grant initiatives. The Unified 5k is a space where athletes with and without disabilities show up together, challenge perceptions, and prove that fitness and sport are more meaningful when everyone has a place at the starting line.
Join us on June 6th at Cumberland High School for our 2nd Annual Unified 5k in Cumberland, RI. Participants have the opportunity to run, walk, roll, or row either the 5k (3.1 mile) or 2k course. Arrive early or hang around after the event to check out our vendors and clinics at the AdaptXpo, a celebration of organizations that focus on health, inclusion, accessibility, assistive technology, and adaptive sports.
Help us make fitness and physical activity accessible for every body.

For more than 50 years, the Arnold Mills 4M Road Race has been a staple event in Cumberland, RI. Held every Fourth of July holiday, the popular four-mile race draws an average of 500 participants each and every year to the starting line, including some top talent from throughout the state and often from beyond the borders. The race, which is run on a moderately-challenging course in a rural community, takes part in conjunction with the town's annual parade. In years past, U.S. Olympians Matt Centrowitz Sr. and Pete Pfitzinger, triathlon legend Karen Smyers, and RI marathon icon Bobby Doyle have made their marks at Arnold Mills.
