The Brookline Breeze is a challenging 5K fitness run/walk on the rolling hills of Brookline, a neighborhood located in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The 5K course takes runners and walkers from Brookline Memorial Park to the city border with Dormont and back again. The 3.1 mile route follows Brookline Boulevard to Pioneer Avenue, then turns left and proceeds to a turn-around near West Liberty Avenue, then back again.
Breeze Day fun begins at 7:30am with packet pickup and pre-race registrations. The first event of the morning is the One-Mile Mini-Breeze for the young ones, followed by the One-mile Dog Walk. The Mini-Breeze course is laid out around the perimeter of Brookline Memorial Park. Then, at 9:00am, it's time for the main event, the 5K run/walk.
Steelers Run and Walk
Join us for another year on a beautiful course around the North Shore this Labor Day or at home by participating virtually. All participants will receive a commemorative 2026 medal, Steelers Run Walk t-shirt and goodie bag - plus, all in-person attendees can enter a raffle for exclusive autographed Steelers items!
All proceeds will benefit the Art Rooney Scholarship Fund and Chuck Noll Foundation for Brain Injury Research. Run Together as Steelers Nation this Labor Day Weekend and show your Steelers Pride from all around the world!

Fineview Citizens Council is hosting its 30th Annual Urban Step & Trail Challenge on Saturday, October 4, 2025.
Participants will ascend Fineview’s hills, streets, and staircases. Among the steps are Pittsburgh’s STEEPEST stair set (371 steps) on Rising Main Avenue, which is the equivalent of a 17-story building!
The course covers 12 public staircases for a total of over 1,600 steps and provides breathtaking views along the way. All proceeds from the event will benefit our programming related to community beautification, preserving affordability, and events.

Franklin Regional Soccer Boosters proudly announce the 24th Annual Beat the Heat 5K, taking place on August 22, 2026, at 8:00 AM.
This long-running event is a popular run/walk for participants of all ages. A fun and energetic way for the community to come together just before the start of the school year.
Proceeds from the race will support the Franklin Regional High School and Middle School boys' and girls' soccer programs with a portion of funds also benefiting the Rotary Miracle Sports Complex / Miracle League of Western Pennsylvania.
The Franklin Regional soccer program continues to grow and thrive. Boys’ varsity head coach Nick White enters his third season, building on the team’s recent success and looking ahead to continued achievement. The girls’ varsity program, led by sixth-year head coach Scott Arnold, is also preparing for another strong season. Across all levels, our athletes and coaching staffs are dedicated to working hard, competing at their best, and developing not only as players, but as individuals.
The coaching teams remain committed to shaping student-athletes from the recreation level through middle school and into high school, fostering both athletic and personal growth.

Lace up and join us for the 17th Annual Run for Their Lives 5K on September 19, 2026! This timed charity fun run features an approximately 3-mile course through the beautiful, tree-lined streets of North Park in northern Allegheny County, just north of Pittsburgh, PA. Your participation helps raise awareness of bleeding disorders and supports essential education and advocacy programs.
Online run registration will close at 6:00 PM on Friday, September 18. In-person registration will begin at 7:30 AM on Saturday, September 6!

Virtual Run for Their Lives 5K
Our hybrid run gives you the choice to join us in-person on September 19 in North Park or be a virtual runner and run one of your favorite courses! No matter where you run, you’re still raising critical awareness and funds to support those affected by bleeding disorders in Western Pennsylvania!
Registration for virtual runners is $25 and includes a t-shirt (if registered by July 31, 2026), race medal, and goody bag. Virtual runners have the option to have their race packets/bags mailed to them for an additional fee or free pick-up at the WPBDF office located at: 433 State Avenue, Suite #4, Beaver PA 15009.

Race Description
The Export 100 Trail Run is a 104-mile out-and-back route, with 7,392ft of gain. It encompasses the iconic Westmoreland Heritage Trail, West Penn Trail, as well as the Morosini Reserve, Duff and Pleasant Valley Parks during the changing October colors in western Pennsylvania. 100% of profits to benefit our trail community! There is a 32-hour cut-off for our event.The Export 100 Aid Stations are below. The bathrooms listed (except Newport Road/Rangos) are heated, with running water for runner/crew use. Aid stations will be fully-stocked with hot food, Tailwind electrolyte and typical 'ultra-style' snacks, except those notated with water. Pacers may be used after Mile 62, for the remainder of the race. Overall, the course is incredibly accessible for family and friends. You can honestly 'see' your runner for a majority of this route. The Westmoreland Heritage Trail, and the West Penn Trail, can have bicycles on the route, and is 100% open to the public. However, the single back trails up in the Morosini Reserve, Duff Park and Pleasant Valley Park will be runnable only.

Come join us during our 2025 Slickville Community Days celebration! The August 9th 5k race is a challenging backcountry route with several hills leading to the "coal mine climb" up the slate mound past the famous Slickville sign that overlooks the town. The 2-mile walk is a much gentler course through town for the first half and returning to the finish on the Westmoreland Heritage Trail where you can watch the runners in their attempt to reach the summit of the race. Be sure to sign up early to guarantee receipt of an event sports shirt in your preferred size.
After completing the run/walk, all participants will be treated to a complimentary pancake breakfast with locally sourced genuine maple syrup courtesy of the Slickville Community Church and Maple Lodge.
Registration is open on race day from 7:00 AM to 8:15 AM. The run/walk begins at 8:30 AM. An awards ceremony will follow around 9:30 but feel free to stay or come back later to check out the other events including a car show, craft and food booths, children's activities, a cow patty bingo and musical entertainment throughout the day and evening. A fireworks display will take place shortly after dark.
The 9/11 Heroes Run 5K welcomes runners, ruckers, and walkers of all ages and fitness levels to honor the heroes of 9/11 and those who've served our nations since. We activate & unite communities and empower local veterans, active duty, first responders, and families of the fallen.
TMF is proud to partner with GORUCK again with rucking divisions at every run. Rucking is a sport based on special forces training in which participants walk or run while carrying weighted rucksacks.
