Course: 6.2 miles through the streets and surrounding countryside of Berwick. The start and finish are at the corner of Third & Market Street. There are rolling hills in the middle miles with the start and finish flat. Wheel measured.

Awards: Top 3 Male and Female receive the following cookies: 1st-13, 2nd-10, 3rd-8

Age Group Awards: 15 & under, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & over.

1st in each age group will receive 6 cookies. 2nd receives 4 cookies.

All finishers receive a cookie.

Long sleeve hooded shirt will be offered to the first 170 registered participants or if signed up by January 20.

Online registartion will end on Tuesday, February 24.

PLEASE NOTE THE RACE DATE HAS CHANGED TO APRIL 19, 2026

Just like clockwork, ospreys (Pandion haliaetus) depart every fall for warmer climates in the tropics. Help us bid farewell to Lacawac’s resident osprey with our Fall 10K Run/Walk! This scenic course winds through diverse landscapes, supporting habitat conservation efforts. The Lacawac osprey nest, perched high above Heron Pond across from our Education Center, is a seasonal home to these incredible birds before they embark on their journey south.

Proceeds of the run/walk will benefit the upkeep and maintenance of Lacawac's Browning Beaver Meadow Sanctuary, a former sanctuary of the NEPA Audubon Society.

What: 10K Trail Run and 5K Walk

Where: Lacawac Sanctuary William E. Chatlos Environmental Education Center, 182 Sanctuary Road, Lake Ariel PA 18436

Awards: Cash prizes for the top three male and female finishers. Awards will also be given to the top three male and female finishers in the below age groups:

Come join us during our 2025 Slickville Community Days celebration! The August 9th 5k race is a challenging backcountry route with several hills leading to the "coal mine climb" up the slate mound past the famous Slickville sign that overlooks the town. The 2-mile walk is a much gentler course through town for the first half and returning to the finish on the Westmoreland Heritage Trail where you can watch the runners in their attempt to reach the summit of the race. Be sure to sign up early to guarantee receipt of an event sports shirt in your preferred size.

After completing the run/walk, all participants will be treated to a complimentary pancake breakfast with locally sourced genuine maple syrup courtesy of the Slickville Community Church and Maple Lodge.

Registration is open on race day from 7:00 AM to 8:15 AM. The run/walk begins at 8:30 AM. An awards ceremony will follow around 9:30 but feel free to stay or come back later to check out the other events including a car show, craft and food booths, children's activities, a cow patty bingo and musical entertainment throughout the day and evening. A fireworks display will take place shortly after dark.
