2026 FAAP Fall Classic , North Park

The South Ridge Trail Challenge is the region's premier early summer trail race and the only ultramarathon in North Park. Located on the South Ridge of North Park in Allegheny County, it offers a spectacular array of trails for runners and hikers of all abilities:

• a 5K for everyone, hikers welcome!

• a steady 10K for those looking for a little more climb, hikers also welcome!

• challenge yourself with two loops of the 10K course and (just about) complete 20K (just about a 1/2 marathon)

• a day-long party 50K relay- 5 10K loops let you share your vert with friends (relay teams are 2-5 people)

• a truly intrepid 50K - 5 10K loops covering almost 5000ft of vert. gain that will lead you on a journey from confidence to self-doubt and back again, earning you bragging rights as a finisher of the only 50K race in North Park.

All distances start and finish near the historic North Park swimming pool. Runners and walkers will then make their way up, down, and around the South Ridge Plateau, exploring all the beauty of early summer in Western PA.

START TIMES:

• 50K and 50K Relay - 7:30 am

• 5K - 9:00 am

• 20K - 10:30 am

• 10K - 11:00 am

COURSE CUT-OFF:

50K athletes MUST leave the aid station for their final loop by 3:30pm. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Lace up your sneakers and join us for The 2026 Schoolyard Run + Walk, hosted by the Rich-Mar Rotary Satellite Club! This community-focused 5K run and walk is open to participants of all ages and abilities, offering a chance to get active while making a difference close to home.

Proceeds from this event benefit Legacy Rotarian Member's Scholarships, empowering the next generation of student leaders, and Young Adult Survivors United (YASU). YASU's mission is to help young adult cancer survivors and caregivers/co-survivors cope and thrive by providing emotional, social & financial support; the comprehensive care model that enhances their quality of life. We will be IN PERSON at North Park Boathouse on June 20th, 2026, for the annual Pittsburgh Cure Sarcoma Run/Walk. We will also offer a LIVESTREAM option for teams located across the country, or for teams who are more comfortable joining us from their local communities or backyard.

ONSITE REGISTRATION: 7:30 - 9:00am. Race bibs will only be available day of race at onsite registration. Race shirts subject to availability at onsite registration. If we run out of shirts, a coupon will be issued to return for any unclaimed.

RACE START: 9:00am

HOW TO PARTICIPATE: A Shuttle service will run from the Swimming Pool and Skating Rink lots from 7:00am to 12:00pm. Attendees at the park have a choice of timed running or walking. Runners will be timed by Runner's High on a 5K course. Walkers can choose between the 5K or a 1 mile course where jogging strollers and leashed pets are welcome. Virtual attendees participating from their local communities can run, walk, dance, sing, read, sleep--the options are endless!! Entertainment will include timing, kids activities, bounce house, team areas, basket raffle, DJ, etc!.

REGISTRATION: $30 until June 12th, then $35. Online registration closes at 5:00pm on Thursday, June 18th. Day of race onsite registration opens at 7:30am on Saturday, June 20th. Registration includes an official PCS 2026 Race Shirt - day of race registration subject to shirt availability. Teams or individuals participating via livestream can pick up their shirts on Thursday, June 18th from 4-8:00pm at the North Park Harmar Pavilion or choose the shipping option at checkout.

PRIZES: Awards for Largest Team and Most $$ Raised

This is an event you won't want to miss!! Ask your friends and family to join you in raising much needed funds for sarcoma research and advocacy. Come join the Hampton Community in Hampton Community Park (3101 McCully Road, Allison Park, PA.) for the 20th Annual Hampton Rotary Club Firecracker 5K on Saturday, July 4, 2026, 8:30 am, on the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. This is a Hampton tradition and a great Family event that offers a challenging course for runners followed by a new shorter course for walkers who want to join us but would rather avoid the Middle School hill. There will be medals for runners in a number of age groups for children as well as adult men and women. Tech style race shirts will be guaranteed to all registrants up until the order deadline but we'll order enough to cover a few extra too. And of course, we'll send an email near the t-shirt deadline to all past participants!
